Daures was getting cut at the end of the year. They saved a bunched of money by trading him. The 6th rder was all they could get. He is not an every down player anymore, he is not the best player on the dline let alone the defense or team.
-
If Darues was worth more he wouldnt have been traded. He is paid like watt and playing like a rotational DT.
-
A good qb and great in this case, makes player personel decisions easy. Results are all that matters and with brady they will win alot.

LOL. I love those "your not a GM" comments. Yes, I'm expecting immediate impact from Inman in Chicago over who they have currently on their roster because he's better than all of them. Period. That's why their GM traded for him. Immediate impact doesn't mean he'll catch 8 passes for 118 and 2 TD's this week. It means though, that a better WR will be on the field, almost certainly.
What do I picture a WR of this quality to do for us? Play football at a higher level than all of our guys other than Jordan Matthews. He's better. He's proven better. He's only 28 years old. He makes us better immediately.
And over Thompson.......yes! Over Thompson. Thompson had one good game, and for all we know, and judging by his past in the NFL, he got lucky. He got most of his yardage on a busted coverage. But, we sure can hope Thompson ends up being a gem, but most likely, he had a nice game, and it probably won't continue. He's already a bit of a journeyman, like our other guys.
Inman is a relatively young WR, that has history, and was acquired for a measely 7th round pick. Absolutely sign me up for that guy for the rest of this year. Again, he had 53 for over 850 last year. He's better than anyone but Matthews.
Chicago's 7th would look better than ours. No way to know if Buffalo made an offer or not. Maybe LAC wouldn't trade him to us because we play them in 3 weeks. Its not like Inman is Randy Moss. LAC is not a juggernaut. Without their first rd pick WR he couldn't make it on the field.

These trades have nothing to do with Buffalo's playoff hopes.

Chemistry between a Qb and Wr is tricky. This is a very unique situation. He is thrown to a lot. I do not recall Watkins getting this kind of pass share. Now Taylor and Jones are still working on getting on the same page but without any in game production its still a little bizarre seeing the amount of passes going his way. Its a complete reckless speculation but Jones must be balling out in practice and looking good to where he is a large part of the game plan. For whatever reason he has not made the best of the situations but obviously Taylor has a lot of faith in him.

If they give up yards but avoid the big plays and continue to make the turnovers I am OK with the Defense. Stop the run avoid the 30 plus yard passing plays and get a take away or 2 is a very good formula. For everything Tampa is their offense is explosive and Winston has now thrown for 300 in 4 striaght games. Carr and Oakland present similar problems but are more 1 dimensional. Against the good Qbs they are going to move the ball the defense has to make the plays when they are given the opportunities and hold them to as many Fgs as possible.

Then the Chargers should light them up on Sunday. If they don't, it's business as usual over at Gillette.
So if an average team doesn't beat them they are as good as they ever been?
-
They have not played well going west coast to east coast @ 1pm. They are 2 and 16? Cold wet game vs a team playing very well at home that is running the ball and stopping the run fairs well for Buffalo. High flying offense may not do well considering the conditions.
-
He is a big loss. He has been playing in the middle and edge depending on the situation. Their front 7 is poor. Teams can run on them and play keep away from Brady.
-
John Brown makes sense but for a 6th, conditions added.
Sal was throwing the name Pryor around for an OT. That is interesting.
They are in desperate need. Henderson and or mills. Pryor is a bit of a head case. Could be an interesting deep threat though for Taylor. Is quicker and fast than Matthews or Jones and has legit size.

Happy to see the Bills creating a home field advantage like it used to be.
I agree, Jets and Dolphins don't scare me and the Pats will own us. I think the 3 biggest games left on the schedule are Raiders, Saints and Chargers. We have to win all 3 of those in order to even have a chance at playoffs.
The Pats are still a work in progress. ATL is in all sorts of trouble. I dont buy too much in that win. Their run game is still poor, and have had the benefit of 4th quarter leads. Buffalo will play them very tough at home. In the cold and bad weather I am curious to see how Brady holds up.
-
That is the way to look at it. Cold and wet game vs a team traveling west to east @ 1 pm should all lead to a win. Mccoy keeps running well, Taylor makes plays and the defense gets timely stops late all leads to a bills win by 10.
-
The price would need to be high. I do not think its a coincidence that Glenn is bank and the Bills running game improves. He is a beast in the running game. Something is bound to break with Henderson and Mcdermott.
-
Because of Taylors ability runing the ball he will take a few more sacks. If he doesn't have an angle and is outside the pocket I would like him to through it away a little more. Overall if the defense contunues to generate turnovers Taylor will lead the team to the playoffs.
-
Makes no difference. His main issue isn't route running. He's fighting the ball right now. If he catches what's thrown to him he would be having a nice rookie season; he probably would also be getting more targets too. He'll be alright in the end though. He is very talented. I think he's trying too hard at this point. What will get him going in the right direction is a big catch in a big situation. It will give all of us cardiac arrest to see the ball on its way to him with a game on the line, but if he catches it he'll keep moving forward from there.
This really reminds me of Terrell Owen's rookie year. He was getting open and dropping balls left and right. Against GB in the playoffs he makes a catch at the goal line in like triple coverage to win it as time expired and came up with the ball crying. Then the next year he catches 20 balls on Rice's last game. And the story of TO was built. Idk if jones becomes great or im reaching here. A big play byJones and he could be off to the races as a legit Wr.

Pretty much what Vick was saying. What separates Taylor from 98% of all the QBs in the NFL is his athletic ability. To force him into 3 step drops plays into the defenses hands. You want to drop 8 into coverage ok. We will do 5-7 step drops. If no one is open can the coverage hold up for 5 to 6 secs when the fastest qb in the NFL is moving towards the of scrimmage? Seems when he runs and makes some plays he gets into a rythem quicker.
-
Imo I believe Mcdermott and Beane will judge Taylor this season base off of W and L more than anything else. If Taylor leads the Bills to the playoffs or a minimum a winning record I think he is retained. He doesnt have to play great for the Bills to win. If he struggles and the team struggles he is gone at the end of the year.
-
Depends what is received in return. Hard to replace a reliable LT so the price would be rich. I wouldn't be surprised if it was Mills or Henderson for next to nothing. A conditional pick or maybe back up RB or Wr
-
Matthews will be needed.
-
Monday update. He is week to week. They will reassess next week.
-
I feel like I have said the same thing every week. I think he could have a big game at any time. Going home probably helped him get his confidence. He is to me a big play away from really become a solid contributor.
-
He seems like an absolute steal. Get White and an extra First rd pick.
-
Alot of tackles on the roster. Henderson and Dawkins have to be better than Mills right?
Dareus traded to Jacksonville!

He hasnt been a probowl player for 3 years now. He is paid more then Mccoy, Watt, and Mack. Im fine with it. Get in or get out is the right attitude. Are you a solition or a problem.
