If this was 2008 i think Rosen would be the unquestioned pick. Since Big Ben teams love the guys who can make something from nothing and the ultimate embody of that is Allen. I will peg Beane a genius if he gets Rosen and keeps 22. For that to happen Rosen would need to get through the first 5 picks. I think Buffalo wants him but is also scared off by the price tag at 2. Getting him at 4 is much cheaper and past 5 best case scenerio but for me unlikley.

Need good coaching, and a good Qb. By trading Taylor, and signing Mccarron to a prove it backup deal Buffalo is taking a Qb early. The questions are which one they like most, whats their Qb ranking and where to they go to get the guy.

Every qb has to win in the pocket. If they draft Jackson or Allen they are obviously comfortable with their accuracy and ability inside the pocket. I dont know which way they are going to go. I think the cost of moving up to 2 is becoming too steep. I expect Buffalo to move up but where and for who is the queations.

Petrinos offense is a pro concept passing attack. Jackson is far more accurate that his 59% would tell you. His adjusted completion % makes the most improvement than any other qb in draft. Imo Baker will struggle inside an NFL pocket. When the play breaks down he wont get away from NFL defenders. Also, Jackson does not have a video of him getting tackled by cop.

If this was all true why does Jackson have about the same ypa as Rosen? The guy with the best ball placement in the draft? As a passer he is just as accomplished as Rosen. When he runs hes more accomplished than Saquan Barkley. I fail to see that as a negetive. When you get a guy who can beat you in the pocket and the open feild there is no defense for it.

Passing for 3500 past two years, and has rushed for more yards and tds than saquan barkley. He is the most dynamic qb since Vick. More polished in the pocket, and a better runner. To think he is not in consideration at 12 or higher is not accurate.

Hes from money, if he is truley humbled by his experiance I could see signing him for the league min.

Rosen has the best mechanics, footwork, and arm talent of alll the qbs this year. The only knock is his injury history. I hope that pushes Rosen out of the top 5. Maybe he is but i would expect he would perform better at the combine if he was. That week is about buzz. By not working any of the physical drills instead of what a freak Jackson is only people talked about switching to wr. An agent helps him better handle that than his mom.

On the filed Jackson has the least amount of red flags of any qb in draft. During the past 3 months I think Jackson has handled the process the worst. Not having an agent and not hiring a renouned Qb coach to help correct his short comings has made be question his ability to be a sustained success as a professional. Vince young had a fantastic rookie year but quickly fizzled out. His physical gifts will only carry him so far. He needs to continue to develop inside the pocket.

For Buffalo to land rosen or Allen Darnold needs to go 1. Buffalo could be left in the weeds if Allen goes 1.

I dont think picks are precious. Great players are. If you think the guy at 2 can be the best Qb in a decade and rival what jim kelly did for this franchise is that too much? Keep in mind in this draft buffalo can give up 12,22,56,65 and still have a selection in each of the first 3 rounds. The moves Mcdermott and Beane have made has allowed them the ability to pay a hefty price without crippling this draft or the next.

So there are as many superbowl qbs in round 1 than rd2,3,4,5,6,7 combined? Which rd outside of first will this years draft produce that qb? Odds favor your guy comes in round 1. The math that you point to say the likley hood of landing that superbowl qb in the later rd are long. When your team needs a qb your better picking the guy with the most ability.

The owners meetings begin. This is when St. Louis locked up 1 and when Washington locked up 2. If Buffalo wants 1 or 2 imo this is when it happens. The main guys have worked out and talked to everyone so everybody has a good feel of how they rank each player. 12 is a long way from 1 or 2, but in a draft when 4 Qbs go top 10 you are still getting an impact starter at 22. If Buffalo has the intentions of making a big offer it happens during the meetings. If it comes and goes without a splash from one Bills drive I assume they target 4 or 6 and 7 and they trade up to back of the top 10 to get which ever guy remains.

Interseted to see if Buffalo misses out on the top 4 guys if they flop 22 for Foles. Get the best linebaker at 12. Idk if id love it or hate it but could be an option.

I would not move all the way up for him. But 4 would be a consideration and preferably 6 to 8. If i can keep 22 get Mayfield or Rosen thats a win.

A deal in place and a deal are two seperate things. If the guy they want is there and the jets offer are not the same thing. Colts took the best offer. Lets see how this plays out. Do they go all in for 1 or 2. Gamble and get a guy at 4 or 6.

If drafts could be redrafted the best QBs would go before any position. Its too important. Yes every year or two a player is picked in the middle rounds that turns out to be very good maybe great.

I think the talke with Cleveland is the fact Beane and Gettleman want the same guy. If that Qb goes 1 they would trade down. Buffalo could trade to 1. Cleveland could trade to 2 and give the giants 2 or 3 2nds. The Giants would than get Barkley, Chubb, or Nelson. All very improbable but not impossible. I think in the end Buffalo over pays for a QB b/c they have to. Whether that is for pick 1,2,4, or 6,7,8,9.

No its not that its point. They got Russell Wilson in the third. If they knew he was going to be that good they would have trade up for him like Washington did for RG3. Because Brees went the end of the first, Wilson went rd 3, and Brady was drafted in the 6th doesnt mean buffalo should target there franchise QB in the middle rounds. The Seahawks gave Flynn a Brock Oswiller type deal and had Tavaris Jackson on a Tyrod Taylor type deal. Wilson wasnt expected to play. They got lucky.

The Cowboys also draft Preskott at 4 over Elliot.
