I think he can still be very effective. He seems to have good feel in finding open spaces in zones. I see him still being a main contributor in the passing attack. Not a #1 but productive player.

But a guy who can cover a bit and rush the passer is not the same. Barr is not a thumper. He has the athletic ability to cover passing lanes and bend around the corner. Alexander is a model for the modern day sam imo. Having Edmunds, Molano, and Barr gives the defense alot of creativity.

Tyrell William's is getting 10 mil plus. In terms of Qb ability I think Metcalf matches Allen's skill set perfectly. It makes life easier for foster on the other side and Zay and anyone else underneath and over the middle.
