He was and a Qb that looks like Couch in college will be drafted in the top 10 every time. -

Goff and Mahomes are simply talented. Good size, good arms, athletic. It doesnt matter what offense they were in. They are not small weak arm QBs who put up massive numbers in a quality system. -

That's all well and good but does he come with Reid, Hill, Kelce and Hunt? -
Screens to the Wrs, flares to the backs. Maybe a slant to someone other than Benjamin. The offense looked good for 2 quarters vs Minnesota and poor the rest of the year. Get Allen in rythem get him confident and he will make plays. Buffalos offense is Allen making a play, that's it. McCoy looks slow, hopefully it's due to injury.

I agree, but would add every Qb for the most part is a rythem passer. The Minnesota game they opened with some screens and some play calls that were designed easy read and throws. That is what they need to do moving forward. McCoy and the running game be damned. Get Allen into a rythem, pick up first downs and get his and the offense confidence up. As much as it is on Allen to get it going, Daboll needs to script a better start. Throw out weeks 2 and 4 and really look at what they did week 3.

The defense is starting to come together, the offense is a mess. The main problem is I dont believe McDermott understands enough about that side of the ball to help. The offense looked completely differant and generic compared to the one vs Minnesota. It was the second half offense not the one in the first half. Maybe McCoy playing is a strain on the play calling and are too focused on him and are failing to get the overall offense in rythem

He needed the Greenbay game to show him that he isn't going to win on his athleticism. Be more deliberate with his throws and take the smart play when it's there. Didn't see much screen passes outside or many 3 step drops. Run run pass will not work in the NFL in 2018. Looked like a terrible called game and the offense never found rythem.

Play good defense. Get the running game going. Can a Wr make a play? Buffalo does the first 2 they win. Buffalo does all 3 they win easy. -
What would Bills record be if AJ was qb?

0-3. The Peterman experience took 2 weeks for the team to get over. Allen has taken over and at 21 is the unquestioned leader of the team. Allen hurdling Barr had a similar effect on the team, that Tates third down did last year. He is making big time throws a Qb has not made here since Bledsoe, add in the athletic plays he's making and only a handful of QBs in the NFL could pull them both off. -
McCoy gets rolling than the offense may be onto something. Without any real threat outside Allen desperately needs a wr to catch a deep ball to back off the defense.

Steelers listening to trade offers for Leveon Bell

Buffalo has one of the better cap scenarios going forward and can afford a hefty contract. Buffalo is not a high FA destination for numerous reason. They may be better off bringing a guy in and selling him for a season. At the same time Pitts used Bell and a very high rate. He was a 2nd rd pick so he is not making top money for his position. Yes he would be making 14 mil this year only. If he gets hurt he misses out on a large some of money. The fact they offered him a 6 year deal with 10 mil guaranteed is laughable and Bell is right to hold out. He wants some security like anybody else would. -

The end of the day you would hold the cards. You could franchise him with the intentions of a long term deal. -
Do you think Robert Foster can develop to into a #1 receiver?

He is getting separation. That is half the battle. He makes one of these plays and his confidence rises he could become a threat. -
Allen is a budding superstar

That's the point. Against a playoff team when is the last time a Qb carried the Bill's offense? Success has been tied to the Rb in Buffalo for what it seems like 20 years. -

Right but in years past Buffalo finds themselves in a game late in the 4th. Last year vs Denver and Atlanta, Fitz vs the Steelers, ravens or numerous Pat's games. With out anybody of Fantasy relevance on the roster The offense scoring 3 TDs in the first half was impressive. You cant watch the game and not come away with Allen carried the offense. -

I cannot remember a time where a Bills Qb without much help on his side of ball put his team on his back and won a game going away vs a top 10 team. Without some drops and bobbles Allen has 3 or 4 passing TDs. Still early but doing that to Minnesota means they can beat anyone. Rodgers is great but Minnesota is a much better team than GB. Good defense and Allen making a handful of plays will result in W's. -
Catching balls 30 to 40 yards in the air is a skill alot of wrs dont have. They need to find Allen a guy who can get down the feild and track the ball. That takes him and the offense to another level.

Opposing defenses will adjust to Allen going forward

His athletic ability makes defending him a problem. He looks like a more athletic young Roethlisberger. Most likely blitz and have him make quick decisions. The ability to recognize the blitz and attack it will be Allen next step. He does that we found ourselves our Qb for 15 years. -

2-2 after the first two weeks would feel like 4-0. -

A 3rd and shady. 3 years 45 mil. 40 guaranteed takes it down. Out of the backfeild and between the tackles he is the best in the business. All the cap space the next few years and Allen on his rookie deal, makes Buffalo a realistic player for him. -
I'm glad to see Allen playing well. I have been high on him since the end of last season. His performance today was why I was so against starting Peterman and continuing the competition. Allen clearly pulled even at Cleveland. That's a precious 3 weeks Buffalo's offense will never be able to get back this year. A good defensive effort some big plays by Allen is the receipe for success this year.

Green Bay is a winnable game. The defense is not special, their offense is predictable and simplistic. Get pressure on Rodgers and keep him from extending plays Buffalo should be in it to the end. Glad to see the team rebound and beginning to rally around Allen. -
Brandon Bean failed to provide Josh Allen a mentor
Mat68 replied to GrizzReaper's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The real problem Buffalo had. They didn't just own the fact Allen was the most talented Qb on field at the very first practice. The offense and receivers should have been given training camp and preseason to learn Allen's strengths and weakness and how to take advantage of both. By given him the least amount of reps with the first team and then going to him after 2 quarters of real football creates a level of distrust for the direction of the franchise. The defense has played uninspired until Allen got in their faces. The fact it took a rookie in first start to get that out of them is impressive and startlingly.
