I'm excited to see how they build around him. Imo Buffalo has the ability to make a jump like the Bears did.

2019 NFL Draft: Bills officially picking 9th
Mat68 replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Based off Buffalos most pressing needs on offense imo 10th is a great spot. If any Wr emerges or the top Olineman would be in play. With the lack of offensive talent I wouldn't be against trading it for a # 1. Juilo or Beckham. -
Agreed. Detroit has a significantly more athletic linebakers than NE. Allen is an interesting case. Our wr struggle vs man. That creates running voids. Allen has the arm to fit the ball in a window the size of a needle. Imo this is a perfect late season barometer to gauge Allen's progression. I think Allen does better than most expect. Those that haven't seen Allen the last 4 weeks will be running to his bandwagon. I think Buffalo loses but the story will be Allen and, wow give him some dudes.

Josh Allen’s Adjusted Completion Percentage = 72.7%

Besides the end of game hysterics, what Allen is doing with a whole lot of nothing on offense is mostly going unnoticed. That is what I mean by putting the offense on his back. Not a quarter, not a drive, the entire game Allen has been the entire offense the last 4 weeks. Buffalo is 2-2 two plays away from being 4-0 in those games. No stat or metric will explain that. Increase the talent around him and look out. -

Fitz had a strong running game. Imo Fred Ex was just as big if not a bigger contributor to those offenses success. Allen doesnt have that. McCoy is a shell of himself. -
Passing League my eye!! Think again.

This is what's plagued Andy Ried most of his career. He is quick to abandon the run and gets enamoured with pushing the ball down the field. September, October, November it works. December it works less and January not at all. In a long season late in the year it's a battle of wills. Who can run the ball and control the clock to wear down the opposing defense. A full season of plays have happened and there are little got you plays that results in big gains or TDs. -
It wouldn't be a dagger in the heart, but Allen going into Gillette and leading the Bill's to victory could be a foreshadowing of what's ahead. A Derek Anderson led Bill's had the ball in the red zone in a 1 possession game in the 4th quarter vs NE earlier this year. Buffalo will give NE all it can handle. Does NE have the athletic ability at LB to contain Allen on the ground? Maybe I'm wrong and Allen throws a bunch of picks, Brady has his best game of the year and the beat goes on.

Its wasnt I deal. You do have to take into account context. Full speed running straight, stopping and throwing to the right corner of the endzone from the far side numbers about 40 yards in the air without feet or shoulders square is a 12 on a scale of 1 to 10 difficulty. Allen is one of 3 players in the sport who could pull that off. -
His velocity is a bit of an issue for his wrs. I will argue that and the wrs comfortably running propper scramble concepts is due to his limited reps in the offseason. Noodle arm Peterman and McCarron threw soft balls and Allen throws fast balls.

If not this year I believe he does. I think the offense makes a big jump next year. If Allen develops Daboll will have the Qb whisperer Aura.

What makes me optimistic is not any stat or advanced metric. He is the first Qb in a long time here that throws the team on his back and competes. Allen does not have the aid of a good or above average Offensive line. Allen does not have the aid of a competent running game. He does not have a wealth of above average pass catchers. How about the cliche a good QB makes those around him better? Foster cleared waivers 10 weeks ago every other team in the NFL said no thank you. He is now top in the NFL in yards per catch and has multiple 100 yard games. McKenzie has been cut multiple times, thought of as a return man only. After the last few weeks looks like a pretty nice slot wr. -

There isnt a player in the NFL that makes a better pass there. Maybe Rodgers? Maybe Mahomes? Not likely. What happens instead for Rodgers Graham makes that catch. For Mahomes Kelce makes that catch. Run back to the ball. Catch the ball on the 2. If you dont get in there is still 30 secs to spike it and get 2 more cracks at it. What about the play before it were Jones drops a back shoulder fade that hit him in the stomach? -

In all but one game he didn't start they were a complete dumpster fire. -
Zay is pretty useless beyond 20 yards. Doesnt track the ball and doesnt have good body control. On a team that is a vertical passing team that doesnt bode well going forward. McKenzie is a good 4 or 5th wr with st ability and developing slot wr. Foster looks like our best wr at the moment. His speed makes a difference and is consistently getting seperation.

Jarvis Landry is a top 10 wr. There o line is top 5 and one of the highest paid units in the NFL. Chubb and Johnson is as good a combo in the NFL. Njoku is the freakiest player in NFL at TE. Baker has by far the best surrounding casts if all the rookies. Now he is playing well but circumstances matter especially when looking at production.
-
Leveon Bell. Only stud offensive player available. Got the cap space, got the need.
-
A guy who can successfully run every route, get yards after the catch and make 50/50 balls. You can get by with a guy who can do 2 out 3. Buffalo needs a guy who can win the 50/50 ball.

Do you think Robert Foster can develop to into a #1 receiver?
Mat68 replied to BBills88's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Foster has built a good relationship with Allen. Imo he is firmly in the starting line up in 2019. Imo the only returning starter out of the backs, Te, and Wr.
