  1. When Foster was brought back to the roster and starting to produce a comment McDermott made stuck out. It was basically, this isnt college or high school anymore. Players have to change their approach and become professionals. I also, read that Ray Ray has not changed. Mccloud would have to show he knows the playbook, and shows he can become the back up slot to Beasley. Imo he is a longshot.
  2. I'm ok with just about anything other than Db, Oline or Rb at 9. Those are the positions lacking an elite option. I dont really want them to go "safe". I would rather they go for the most talented guy. Oliver, Gary, Metcalf, or Sweat.
  3. From what I've seen he is a pretty good run blocker at the POA. He also gets good movement. I think he is the probable LG.
  4. Picking at 9, if their was a stud lineman available in this draft I wonder if Beanes approach would be different? Personally, I dont see value picking one at 9. Maybe 40. The offense needs some impact skill players to go with the role players they brought in. I think they like Teller, so all they need is a guy to develop to take over RT.
  5. I dont think it's a question if Buffalo would draft him at 9. I think it's a question of will he be available at 9. If he is not one of those stud dlineman will be and I think that's a win for Buffalo as well.
  6. I think that young talent is needed on offense more so than defense. That will be weighted into account when they put their board together. The draft could fall so many ways. If they get 3 ace defenders with their top 3 picks. I wouldn't love it but I think they have enough to win with a dominant defense.
  7. Right now Hockenson is a better blocker. He has the higher floor. Worst case he is a 10 to 12 year pro barring injury. Font has rare ability for a TE. He was OJ Howard but with production. He lined up all over the place. Games I watched last year it seemed Font was regarded as the higher prospect. After the playoffs guys imo are projecting that Hockenson is a great blocker and are harping on it because Gronk blocked so well for NE in the playoffs. Font when asked was not a poor blocker but he wasnt asked to do it as often because he was usually the flex TE while Hockinson was the in line TE.
  8. In the North East, get a middle of the road Big Ten school and you could darn near sell it out no matter the opponent. Now that and the other stuff will not recoup any substance of the public money. It would offer more return than a remodel would. With a new stadium the Peguals will try to attract a different fan than what New Era offers. They imo dont like the viral tailgate. If they could get some off the money fans spend on their tailgates and improve the game day experience inside the stadium they would be all for it. More family friendly pricing like in the Mercedes dome in Atlanta would make sense.
  9. Edmunds has the potential to be a crazy good Mike. He isnt strong yet at the POT. That's to be expected from a 20 year old playing against men. He showed up alot in the passing attack. His instincts will only get better, he will only become stronger. Get a natural pass rusher to play DE.
  10. I think they go day 2 or 3 RT who could move to LT if Dawkins doesnt improve next year. If the guys they like aren't available I could see them punting on that for a year aswell. The guys brought in remove Oline as a need. If you look at the draft oline is not strong at the top. None of the prospects will be sure upgrades over the guys they brought in or have. I think it points to defense or skill player at 9.
  11. But the team had holes. The strongest position on the team was Rb. They had a Hall of Famer, and a probable wall of fame. They picked a scat back and traded the Hall of Famer for a bag of nerf footballs.
  12. Pretty much what he has been saying all year. He loves Jacobs but personally I dont see enough explosiveness or production to be a top 10 player. Chubb was more productive in a similar timeshare was more explosive and wasnt picked til 33.
  13. That's a possibility. I could see them drafting Oliver or Sweat and moving into the late first for said Te/wr.
  14. You want to set yourself up to take calculated risks by bringing in the most talented guy in rd 1. If you have glaring needs you draft whitner(who was a solid starter for what? 10 years?) Ngata all pro and had seasons of dominance.
  15. There are B.S bowl games all over the place.
  16. New roofed stadium down town. With the roof Buffalo can attract a Bowl game and possibly a Final 4. With the new state gambling laws I believe that would be a major incorporation in a new venue. Grab a beer and place a prop bet during a timeout. In a box with access to NFL redzone place a prop bet on any current game in action live. A portion of the stadium theoretically could be open all year for a place to lay bets.
  17. I think they are getting caught up in the wrong measurements. Broad jump, vertical, 40 time. What makes him the universal top DE prospect. Has elite bend, and actually had an array of pass rush moves. Most prospects have 1 go to, some have a counter to their 1 move. Bosa has multiple. If you look at the numbers that better show a players twitchy ability, Three cone, shuttle and 10 yard split. Bosa is at or near the top in all 3.
  18. I think more depth is needed. A younger Sam is definitely needed. Does the modern day SAM actually exist? With the offense still lacking talent compared to the defense I wouldn't want Buffalo doing anything at LB til day 3. I can concede at 9 the most impactful football player could very well be an edge rusher or DT. If they do that I would like the next 3 picks go to the offense. Whether its Rb,we, te, Oline I dont really care but young talent is needed at any of those spots. Going defense, defense holds the offense back too much imo.
  19. I still do not buy it. Unless they flip 17th or their 2nd for Rosen. I dont see them passing on a Qb again. They have to have someone behind Manning. I believe they are not interested in trading up and are down playing their interest so a team wont leap them.
  20. Call me crazy. I would rather have Lawerance than Wilkins. You get him to 330 or 340 you might have the next Wilfort.
  21. Gary is a concern. I'm going to say if they stay at 9 and pick an OT that would be a mistake. None of the prospects are dominating LT prospects. Right now the transition from college spread to NFL effects the Lineman the most.
  22. Take the best d lineman at 9. Hopefully, 3 QBs get picked. Trade up into the 20s and get the best skill player. Hockenson, Font, Metcalf, Harry, Butler, Campbell, Brown and I think a sleeper Jacobs. Idk how I would feel about a trade up for Rb. Though he is the universal top rated Rb by every credible source.
  23. He is right. Half of the hires were because of every owner wants the next "Sean McVay". On his own resume and interview McVay got hired. When you set out to find "this" type of anything you are not looking at everything from an open mind. McVay has 12 years of NFL experience before getting hired by the Rams. You could realistically go much longer because he grew up in and around the inter working of the league. I expect alot of these guys to be out quickly. In terms of pull? When Mcvay brings with him Phillips as DC that is all anyone needs to know about how he was viewed by his peers. Some of these guys had real issues putting together pro staffs. That's a major problem.
  24. Because of my age I saw Barry Sanders. He plays 3 to 4 more years he puts up Rice like numbers compared to other running backs.
