  1. I was high on him they were not. Moving on. Ford was considered a top 30 player by most accounts and obviously theirs. The Oline was a big area of need all offseason. In terms of importance RT is higher then Wr. Buffalo landed 2 of their top players in Oliver and Ford. By then they would have to give up alot to move into position for Metcalf. For all we know he was a fail by the medical staff.
  2. One of the functionally strongest guys in the draft at tackle.
  3. The fact Buffalo rotates their lineman you dont like it? I hate to tell you this, but they rotate the ends too. McDermotts defense thrives with a good 3 technique. Harrison Phillips plays Star position, the other Phillips is the 3 technique. In short yardage and goal line he wont be a negative. Oliver's speed and quickness can stop the play in the backfield. The position Buffalo drafted Oliver to play is ideal for him. It should be a homerun.
  4. Barring a crazy trade, I think if Ansah is healthy he would be a solid add. I could also see a vetran outside possession Wr. I think Crabtree is available and could be a solid redzone threat which the offense lacks.
  5. Him and Oliver will be problems for defenses.
  6. Gotta say, after learning more about these they all seem to be solid picks. You question smallish LBs but played in the SEC, and led a super athletic defense in tackles. This is McDermotts kind of LB.
  7. I like his odds of making the team. Team captain on a very good defense. Seems like a natural fit behind Hyde and boost ST.
  8. This is probably the most curious pick in the draft. Freak athlete for the position. Seems to be a willing blocker which is important. His movement will be nightmare for safties and linebakers to handle. Big questions how are his hands, and can he high point the football. The scout knick media types love the guy. His college production is nowhere to be found. He could be beast time will tell. His name is right out of a football movie. If he is decent the Buffalo fans will turn him into a cult icon.
  9. Has a chance to be the blocking TE with some pass catching upside. Fisher is struggle city to make it unless he catches up as a route runner fast. Imo its Kroft, Knox, Croom the Flex TE, Sweeney and Fisher situational blocker. I think Sweeney beats him out. Better athlete, and probably more sure handed.
  10. LT- Dawkins Nyske LG- Spain Teller C- Morse Bodine RG- Long Feliciano RT Waddle Ford That's what I expect the line to look like in the first preseason game. Dawkins will have to beat out Nyske for LT. At the meantime Waddle will push Ford. If Ford struggles and Dawkins plays well Nyske will than move to RT. Teller will have to have a hell of a camp to beat out Spain. Power scheme they are going to favors Spain imo. Morse is the only guarantee. I could see a scenario where any lineman on the roster not named Morse could be starting at RG week one.
  11. I came away from those games wondering if any other back would have gotten more out of the runs. The number 1 Rb drafted had the same 40 time. You watch them play and there is no way you think they are the same speed. He could be a real weapon in the offense this year.
  12. Glad you took the time and watched it, not just look at the stat sheet. He was the first, second, and third key for the defense. Routinely, made the first guy miss and for most of the game it was behind the LOS.
  13. Only way is he just is added to the coaching if Tayree Jackson is too good to place on PS.
  14. Watch FAU vs Oklahoma and UCF. They have the full games on YouTube. I understand neither are super elite college defenses. But both teams have way more talent. He looks like he is the best player on the field. His acceleration and vision show through. I have 0 concerns after watching both games. I will go as far to say he makes a Cohen type impact on the offense as a rookie. Basically, what McKenzie did last year but a guy that is more elusive and better runner.
  15. He is not really an outside Wr. Imo he is best as a big Slot. Underneath and intermediate he is pretty good. Best against zone. With the addition of Brown and Beasley I think he will get much more favorable matchups and probably have his best statistical season.
  16. A run is outside to the opposite side of which he is on. He is too quick for a guard to beat him and impossible to ask a tackle to do so. No matter the run concept. The guard and center are trying to get to the second level. You either take a blocker away from the play design and allow for an extra unblocked defender in the hole or have a blocking concept that will be exploited because Oliver is too explosive and the block will be near impossible.
  17. He is paid to start at RT until Ford beats him out or earns the spot. Or if Dawkins doesnt rebound he plays LT. In a perfect world today Beane and McDermott are fine with him as their swing OT and probably prefer it. It would mean both Dawkins and Ford are meeting expectations. Nysecki is insurance that they wont have a turnstile at OT.
  18. Dawkins owns the fact he was a little complacent last year. Playing beside a better guard will help him next year imo. I think the line is tentatively Dawkins, Spain, Morse, Long, Ford.
  19. PFF will never be complimentary of Allen. Multiple weeks he was their highest rated QB last year. It was if, and buts away. They went so hard that the analytics said he would not be good they look for anything to be proved right.
  20. I think Singletary is the gadget going forward. He could be the Bill's Tarik Cohen.
  21. It wasnt flashy but Buffalo had a solid draft in my mind. They seemed to solidify both lines with Oliver and Ford. After that who do they pick? The undrafted guy from WV Sills is about the same as any of the guys drafted in rd 3 and on.
  22. Bottom of the draft it's either high character workers or Athletes with potential. This sounds like a guy who can learn from Hyde. Who was not a high pick either, who ran slow.
  23. Any concerns I had were quickly dispelled when I watch his games vs Oklahoma and UCF. Teams and defense vastly superior in talent he popped off the screen.
  24. Let's not be silly here. Jon Brown was on pace for 1300 yards and 14 TDS, then Lamar Jackson became Qb and they ran the triple option offense. Brown, Foster, Jones, and Beasley may not be the best group in the league. But its not a colossal ***** show either. The group is better than last year. There is not stopping them from bringing in anyone else in FA. Imo they need a big body red zone threat. If they bring in Crabtree is that any better than adding a guy in third rd?
  25. His fluidity in and out of his breaks are rare for a guy his size. The Athlete is worth a 3rd rd pick. His lack of production is incredibly concerning for me. He appears to be a scouting community darling. At this point it's a complete projection to assume he will be a reliable receiving threat at TE.
