Kevin Johnson making strong push for #2 CB
Mat68 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think Johnson has the athletic ability to also play slot. Having 2 slot corners would be nice. Watching safties getting toasted in 4 wrs sets isnt fun. Playing 4 CBS on passing downs. -
What is fair trade value for Clowney?
Mat68 replied to BrycePaup4ever's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How good do you think Buffalo is going to be? If they have plans of a playoff run you offer a 1 for Clowney. Assuming that's a percieved high pick and you feel it's a late first rder. -

I'm glad Buffalo has evolved past the trend of losing a guy, add a guy. Rinse repeat. Levi Wallace, showed very good promise what did Buffalo do? Sign former first rd pick Johnson on a proven it deal. Bring back Gaines who was a year removed from a career year in this defense. Same goes for the Oline. I feel gms past sign the most expensive OG m, most expensive OT and draft a guy and that's it. Buffalo went Center, center/guard, 2 guards, 2 tackles and drafted a tackle. -
Kyle Williams is a class act. I dont see him as a guy who would praise another man unless they earned it. Kyle, has opportunities away from playing and I believe he left Buffalo in a good place.

GMFB “Bills will win the AFC East!”
Mat68 replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Comes down to Josh Allen. He improves and has a 2nd season like Geoff, Wentz, Trubisky, or Mahomes they do win the division. The defense will be stout. The improved line should help create a rushing attack. The offense with a run game will make Allen prolific in PA. -
I am a fan of Cris Simms work. He is an entertaining listen. Legitimately, makes an effort to watch games and film of teams and players before formulating his own opinion. His opinions are not always correct but they are at least well thought out. Hes a big believer in Allen and McDermott. He puts McDermott in the top of the league in terms of defensive minds and scheme. He is an anti- Kyle Shannon/ Mcvay sort of speak.

What would you offer for to Minny for Rudolph? Could a mid rd pick make it happen?

Bills finally give out #32 again, after 42 years
Mat68 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Opening day there will not be a 32 on the roster. With 90 on the roster with 12 and 78 retired and 34 and 83 unofficially who do you give out? 34 or 32? 32. After cutdown Perry most likely isnt on the roster and if he is they change his number. -
Tyree Jackson - The Next “Joe Webb” For The Bills?
Mat68 replied to Phil The Thrill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I understand some people loved his arm talent. He is still very raw and why he went undrafted. To use a roster spot he has to show massive improvement to warrant that sort of consideration. -
Cody Ford entire game vs Alabama video -- quite impressive

I saw him rated as the Top Tackle prospect by some. It is not a stretch if Buffalo had him as a top 20 to 30 player on their board. Tackle was a need, Fords value at 38 was too much to miss out so they traded up. Makes sense. I believe you go get the guys you want day 2 and use some ammo from day 3 to do it. Ford added with the numerous signings really improves the worst position group on the team. Ideally, you have Dawkins and Ford at Tackle, Morse at center than a free for all at both guard positions. That will probably be the most interesting position battles. Who is the starting 5 opening. -
Tyree Jackson - The Next “Joe Webb” For The Bills?

3rd string, P.S Qb. For Jackson to get a package or be used in the offense, he would have to show he is a good enough Qb where they feel like they cant put him on P.S. Imo that's a pretty long way to go. -

I can see why they are so high on him. Looks like a prototypical RT. -
Expectations for Josh Allen this year
Mat68 replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ideally, more passing and less running. 3500 yards 20 tds are two categories to strive to surpass. With better receiving threats out of the backfield, and underneath, it should result in an increase in yards and percentage. I'm high on Allen and think he can realistically do it. If Allen shows that kind of improvement Buffalo is in the playoffs. Those games after the injury I would like to see any Qb in the league do better in that situation. I think the sky is the limit. With all the additions to the line, Wrs, and Te, the part I think is most over looked is Allen getting all the reps in training camp. -

Robert Kraft Video Evidence Thrown Out by Judge
Mat68 replied to prissythecat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Seems its obvious that with a message there is a blurred line. Where is it? Two adults consent prove otherwise. Not an Attorney or judge or prosecutor? You must be all three. The state still has the burden of proving that Kraft solicited sex. Not knowing the conversation or cooperation of either party, seems it's a long shot to prove. -

What did he do? Obviously, they had nothing that would hold up in court. They bluffed the others into paying a small fine. -
They win if people take the under. 90% of the people that dont follow Buffalo hear Allen is inaccurate, Buffalo missed out Antonio Brown and didn't bring I a super star. They went 6 -10 last year. Not a hard sell for the Joe redzone.
-
Is he tired of going through the grind or Physically unable to continue? Seems like an outright release was a dick move if later is the case... Come September, October he would be an interesting guy to follow.
-
He seemed like he was done to me. Dorsey is a Qb coached. Seemed liked Anderson was brought in to fill that position when it was obvious it was needed. Barkley is the backup. Tyree Jackson imo will display too much potential to put on PS. Eventually, he is the perfect back up for Allen in play style.

Beane: Gore will push McCoy to be the starter
Mat68 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Shady has trained with Gore for a few years now. Imo, trying to do what Gore does because he has been able to thrive past 30 better than any other back in recent memory. I think it's fair to say, yes Gore will push Shady. Why? Who is more accomplished? Gore. Who is higher on the all time rushing list? Gore. If it's a popularity contest? Or the spot is given to seniority? Gore. Shady has to out work him, and out produce him from now to September to be the starter. Every team Gore goes to he starts over younger guys with more potential. Will Buffalo be any different? -
They are about the same size. Oliver is a better athlete. He was coming out of Highschool. It's a 3 star athlete in Donald vs 5 star athlete in Oliver. Donald learned great technique to win, Oliver used his great athletic ability for the most part. If Oliver was more polished, he would have been drafted top 5.
