The turnovers really mask a well throughout and executed game plan. The first half Buffalo dominated both sides of the ball. The offense moved the ball at will. 2 fumbles, a 3rd down personal foul, and a tip int ended 4 drives at about 30. In a game that 3 drives ended early to turnovers Buffalo ended week 1 19th in yards. Allen threw for 250 and was over 60%. The offense is simple but looks complex. Allen had total control of the offense. It's pretty obvious the only thing I change going forward is using Singletary more. Get him 20 touches a game. When they play worst dlines the 21 personel will be problematic. When Kroft returns 22 personal will be intriguing as well.

Once Kroft is healthy, the Pro set will be more versatile. Kroft is a good blocker and good athlete. You can bring him inline or line him outside. Dimarco is not the mismatch. Shifting from Pro into spread, depending who covers him opens up matchups at the other positions. Times Adams followed him. Other times a linebaker, once a Cb. Man to man a linebaker follows, a db is on him they are running a zone. If it allows Brown, Beasly, or Singletary on a linebaker it's worth doing to dictate that matchup. If it doesnt create a better matchup but shows Allen the coverage it's worth that too. Make the game easier.

But you take out those 2 fluky Ints and he has a top 15 fantasy performance. By and large Allen is a victim of pre draft analysis. People look at the box score and put it into their own narrative, that fits their own bias.

Darnold is a game manager. Mayfiled had a worst game then Allen. He has full reign of the offense. He isnt making half field reads. They are not creating a special college offense for him. Yes, his efficiency is not the best, but he is improving.

Pretty crazy imo. The refs always give benefit of the doubt to forward progress. I've seen more questionable plays not called safties. With the amount of money the NFL makes, the lack of goal line angles always suprises me.

Watching the Giants get decimated

Barkley is Bell but wayyyyy more explosive. That's a concern. Edmunds will have his hands full. Their secondary is suspect. I think Brown and Foster or Jones will have a monster game. For me the Jets game was a perfect week 1 game. Got the win and have glaring things to work on. Buffalo should beat NYG. Standard Bill's teams do not travel well in these type of games. I think this team is different and handles business. -
Allen and Edmunds are the key to Buffalo's success this year and moving forward. Today each took a big leap.

Dimarco helps create matchups elsewhere and makes for easy diagnosis of coverage. NE has done it for years. Once it gets going you can run right at them or spread the defense out. Williams notoriously plays a safety far off the line. Winning deep down the feild would be difficult.

Bills (1-0) at Jets (0-1) Postgame thread

Fix the untimely TO and mistakes Buffalo's offense will be good. The Bill's controlled the game. The jets couldn't find a rythem and Buffalo moved up and down the field. -
A Few Thoughts About the Jets Game, in no particular order

It is week 1. Sets up plays down the road. Passing out of power looks, running out of Passing sets. The multiple sets pre snap can shape into something very good aswell. Patriots do this often. You spread out heavy defense and compact small defenses. -

This was a type of game Buffalo had for years. Have a massive turnover margin and find a way to lose it late. Besides the first drive fumble... Allen played well. Imo they wanted to ease Singletary into NFL action. By the second half he played under better control. Going forward he will ne a big part of the offense. -
Antonio Brown RELEASED, signed by PATS

Seems pretty desperate. Even with Gordon they were not threatening anybody outside. Gronk leaving created a massive void in the offense. Unfortunately, in the interim Brown will be a model citizen. After the honeymoon, too much Edelman not enough Brown. Antonio Brown will be the guy that kills the Patriots Dynasty. -

Really not that big of a surprise. Also, is Antonio going to change his act? Tomlin pacified alot of crap that imo Bill will not. -
Allen, Edmunds, Dawkins, and Oliver are the key to the success of the franchise.

A few weeks ago I wanted to see Allen have a big game. Now I think if Singletary has a really good showing it bodes very well for the season at whole. Daboll. He never has headed a top offense. After watching Nagy last night it's a bit concerning. A disciple from great offensive mind Reid. Overall, Chicago has talent but for me does not understand gameflow and getting a Qb in rythem. I want to see Daboll build off last year and not become sporadic in his offense.

Completion % to me is really not that overwhelmingly important. 2 to 1 Td to interception. 24 to 12. Showing the ability to win from the pocket more consistently. I'm very bullish on Allen. I think he has it. If he reaches his potential Buffalo will be a scary team.

Buffalo dodge a major bullet. Idk if Beane backed away first or not, but glad they didn't force it.
