  1. I’m sorry, do you think inflation was 50%?
  2. Yeah man, I don’t do what “the media” tells me. I don’t watch tv news and I think cable news is one of the worst things to happen to this country in the last half century. Part of being an adult is making decisions where you don’t like the options. Voting third party is not a solution in our electoral system. I made that mistake in 2016 but I won’t do it again. Being responsible means recognizing that the only people who have a shot at winning are Harris and Trump. I’ll take Harris over Trump any day, so that’s what I’ll do.
  3. I honestly didn’t. I did pretty well personally during the Trump admin but I’m making about 50% more now than I was three years ago. I am sorry that you find yourself so irritating. That must be tough.
  4. It might be a good idea if you log off for a bit and touch some grass. You seem a bit wound up. My dislike of Trump is not blind but rather based on the things he says and does. People their own have policy preferences, that is how things work. I’ve seen Trump’s and I’ve seen in his own words and actions that he is unfit for office, in my opinion. You may disagree, and that is your right to do so.
  5. I certainly don’t like how the Biden issue has been handled. But I’m glad he’s not the candidate. It’s not about feelings or being owed anything. It’s about who will be a better president. If my choice this November is either Harris or Trump, I will gladly cast my ballot for Harris with zero hesitation.
  6. Dems: We don’t want Biden to run for re-election Biden: I’m running Dems: We don’t want Biden Dem Primaries: your options are Biden, a nobody, and a whack job Dems: We’ll vote Biden but we’d prefer a better candidate Biden: I’m going to fail miserably at this debate and then spend a week figuring out what to do instead of reassuring voters Dems: We *really* don’t want Biden Biden: Ok, I am going to end my campaign GOP: How could the DNC disrespect Dem voters like this?!
  7. I'm not salty at all. I’m quite happy with the current state of things. After the Biden campaign failed to reassure voters post-debate and the polls began to tank, it was clear that he could not win. While Harris wouldn’t have been my first pick, it was the cleanest way to change the ticket, add momentum, and refocus on beating Trump.
  8. Yeah, sometimes grown ups have to choose between options they don’t love.
  9. Hard to square the idea of the Dem party not caring what its voters think when Dem voters were consistently saying that they didn’t want Biden… In any event, I didn’t want Biden in 2020 but I voted for him (first Dem president I ever voted for). I definitely didn’t want Biden in 2024, but was prepared to vote for him since the alternative is Trump. Of the options on the table, I’ll gladly vote Harris over Trump. Maybe this mess will get people to actually consider some serious electoral reforms but I won’t hold my breath.
  10. Are conservative allergic to Occam's Razor? It really feels like they absolutely refuse to ever consider the simplest explanation of anything in favor complicated conspiracies. An 81 year old man stuck at home with COVID probably isn't in the best position to make a public statement right now. Which is probably why his note about ending his candidacy included a statement that he would be addressing the nation later this week. Presumably, he expects to be feeling better by then and would be better positioned to give a speech than he is now. Seems a lot more likely than he's secretly dead and things are being managed by a secret cabal.
  11. Do you think they had a choice in a primary when the only viable candidate is one that was polling very poorly with Democratic voters?
  12. Oh no! A candidate realized that most voters didn't want him so he stepped down to allow the people an option they might like better. Being responsive to voters? How terrible! And to think, this all happened before the party even nominated a candidate, avoiding needless complications of a post-nomination drop out. I guess some people think that non-competitive primary elections where voters are basically just given one candidate to vote for is better than actually looking at what the people want.
  13. While it wouldn’t make the most sense politically, part of me is holding out hope on the VP pick…
  14. I mean, you could go on continuing to push idiotic nonsense because the internet has broken your brain. And then you did! Well done!
  15. It must be really fun and easy to be a clickservative these days. You don’t even need two brain cells to rub together!
  16. Do you believe that non-competitive primaries are illustrative of the voters’ intentions? If the voters in those primary expressed through polling a desire for someone other than the winner of the primary to be the candidate, would that matter to you? Do you believe that the unofficial title of “presumptive nominee” is equivalent to the actual title of nominee?
  17. Nah. I was a Republican for much longer than I have been a Democrat. if Trump has bowed out before the GOP convention, then whoever emerged with the nomination from the convention would the the Republican nominee. It’s really not hard.
  18. Nah, it’s blatantly stupid. Political parties don’t have nominees until their convention. Trump is just being a whiney little baby because that’s who he is.
  19. Still probably better than an adjudicated sexual assaulter, 34 time felon, fraudster who is unable to run a charity in NY, frequent Epstein buddy, and overseer of the worst economic downturn since the Great Depression. But your mileage may vary.
  20. Feels like Shapiro or Buttigieg to me. Cooper, Beshear, and Kelly also probably in the fight.
  21. Trump has confirmed it is Vance
  22. If I had to respond to every incorrect thing on this site, I’d have time for nothing else. Sorry if that doesn’t fit your narrative.
