Kind of surprised about the lack of references to Hannibal Lector in Biden’s speech. Doesn’t he know that’s what the people want this election?

Biden may be able to give a speech tonight because he's alive, but he was actually dead for the last few days. He needed to meet with Hugo Chavez to discuss how to steal the 2024 election before coming back alive to give his speech.

His policy answers always struck me as the equivalent of a 6th grader doing a book report on a book they didn't read. Not sure if that's a competency issue or just laziness. He almost definitely has narcissistic personality disorder though.

Both parties have used the "nuclear option" to eliminate the filibuster when it was convenient to them. They don't have to end the filibuster for all legislation, they can limit it to what they want. I have a hard time imagining that, after securing the White House and both houses of Congress in a post-Dobbs environment, the GOP would somehow decide *not* to utilize the nuclear option to pass a nationwide abortion ban that mirrors what we are seeing in states like Texas today. Their primary voters would demand that they do it.

If you're asking in general who we'd like to see as president in a vacuum, then yeah that's a different answer. Tiering them by preference, I'd say: Tier 1: JB Pritzker Tier 2: Pete Buttigieg, Gretchen Whitmer, Josh Shapiro, Wes Moore, Jared Polis Tier 3: Raphael Warnock, Andy Beshear, Mark Kelly, Roy Cooper, Tammy Duckworth Tier 4: Kamala Harris, Gavin Newsome, Tim Walz, Chris Mupthy, Tammy Baldwin I'm sure there are other good candidates I forgot to include. I know a lot of people put Michelle Obama's name out there, but from all reporting, she hates politics. There's zero chance she'd ever run. Plus, after far, far, far too many years of Bush and Clinton family politics, I'm generally not enthused about political dynasties.

A majority of Democrats (56%) would prefer another candidate. And that was *before* the debate
