So instead of keeping an TE who has played in the league for years, you want to to take a WR in his late 20s who has done nothing in the league and turn him into a developmental TE?

Cutting Long would be crazy. If you can get a draft pick for Russell Bodine, who was realistically at best the 30th best starting Center. Then Long, who shown moments of being semi capable would definitely get one. Or Wyatt Teller, who had basically done nothing and got a draft pick in return. Long will easily get you a 6th. Possibly higher to a desperate team So who is getting cut instead? You're going to have to cut some notable players, the roster is too deep

Duke Williams wouldn't be a high profile cut. He's one of the obvious ones. A bottom of the roster WR, who doesn't play special teams, has achieved very little in the NFL and who had multiple players drafted at his position.

And he won't get it. His injury record speaks for itself and unlike McCaffrey he doesn't double up as receiver, so doesn't have that inherent value if he drops off as an RB, and his value is spread across 2 spots because he has a wider role. The last half decade is littered with RBs not justifying big pay days. If he wants to play that game, he'll go the same way as another talented but injury prone RB, Devonta Freeman.

Based on that video, no it doesn't. You repeatedly see the receiver dramatically slowing to be able to catch it. Just because it's caught, doesn't mean it looks good. That looks like what you'd expect with Allen and Davies, very raw early in the off season and timing is way off.

So you have a guy with zero mobility who won't be fit for season start behind a terrible O line and wasn't re-signed at a team that needed a veteran mentor for a young QB. Yeah, brilliant signing that.

I wouldn't. The guy has terrible for a number of years, he's coming off back surgery and has a history of back issues and then goes behind one of the worst O lines in football. It makes little sense. They should have gone for some mobile enough to handle that line, not a statue in the pocket. He is an awful fit

Douglas was responsible this time round though. His free agency was a disaster. And playmakers are no use if the QB has the D line instantly in his face. They should just paid the money and got a half decent line, not paying over the odds for swing tackles from Seattle

A half decent draft didn't make up for a shocking free agency. That O line is still bottom 5 in the league, which is impressively bad given both the Bills and Jets started rebuilding their O lines in the same off season with basically the same amount of cap space

Absolutely correct. Whilst you get some versatility in rugby union positions with some players more than you do in the NFL. They are still relatively unique skill sets and exactly as you say, a full back is the one position comparable to kick returner. Needing to return long distance kicks.Wade as a wing may occasionally have got some, but not many and it's not what he was known for for. He was a line breaking runner. The one guy back in the day who could have made a great NFL returner is Jason Robinson, he was dual code so used to changing rules. Let's be honest, his only realistic role in the NFL is as an ambassador. He could be useful marketing for the Bills in the UK.
