  1. ...today we learned that two employees out of 220 advised that they each had a college age child test positive ONLY because both were now scheduled for elective surgery prior to (hopefully) returning to school and had their tests....note that BOTH were and continue to be asymptomatic....we have notified our two prospective customers and so far, they as well as the employee's PCP have yet to say anything about a mandatory 14 day quarantine.....I'm not sure how this should be reported and perhaps Hap can chime in.....should they just be lumped into the "new cases count" as seemingly the force driving the MSM and their non-politicization (COUGH)?....or does identifying cases in this matter somewhat mitigate the feeding frenzy, BUT with no inference to let your reasonable, collective guard down?....I'd bet this disinformation, incomplete information/accurate guidance or politicization .just adds to the "defiant mode" of people......

De Blasio blames NYC weekend violence on coronavirus, vows to 'double down' to keep city safe The mayor blamed the violence, in part, on people being 'cooped up' amid the pandemic By Brooke Singman | Fox News Mayor Bill de Blasio blamed the uptick in violence over the weekend on the coronavirus pandemic, while defending the city’s latest policing reforms and vowing to keep New York City “the safest big city in America.” De Blasio held a press conference Monday after a weekend of violence across New York City that left at least eight people dead and more than 44 people shot and injured. “I want to talk about what happened this weekend. Many were out there celebrating, but we saw too much violence, and we have a lot of work to do to address it,” de Blasio said, while adding that “there is not one cause for something like this.” “This is directly related to coronavirus,” de Blasio said. “This is a very serious situation… As we’re getting into warmer and warmer weather, we’re feeling the effects of people being cooped up for months, the economy hasn’t restarted – we have a real problem here.” De Blasio vowed to “double down” to address the violence, which included shootings in Brooklyn, the Bronx and upper Manhattan, noting that it was going to take “neighborhood policing” and cooperation from clergy and elected officials. “This is all hands on deck,” de Blasio said, while adding that the city has “been dealt a really tough hand.” https://www.foxnews.com/politics/de-blasio-blames-nyc-weekend-violence-on-coronavirus-vows-to-double-down-to-keep-city-safe

"It was a really important thing to do as we were shutting our economy down. Americans across the country were basically being told, and we needed to take measures, but they were basically being told, you can't go to work right now. ... I don't think we need that $600 benefit going forward," Scalia told "Fox News Sunday." The federally enhanced unemployment benefits will expire on July 31. https://www.foxbusiness.com/money/unemployment-benefits-600-extension-eugene-scalia

  6. ..it will be interesting to see as these treatments/vaccines (hopefully) come to market, how insurers approach the costs, deductibles, etc.......back when the Hepatitis C 90 day treatment cure was developed, the pill was $1,000 per day for 90 days......many employers with self funded insurance Plans (particularly prescription coverage) watched their Plans go belly up.....for example, three patients in treatment equates to a $270,000 Plan pay out..........
