  1. ....agree...Marv tried it with Dockery, Langston Walker, etc.....had the "beef" but a long ways off from USDA "choice"......."building from the ball out" is older than dirt......look at "The Hogs" or our very own "Electric Company".....HOF duos like Jones/Hutch or Shell/Upshaw that Holmgren called "legendary"....still like to revisit Cowher's quote that, "the OL is THE most important UNIT on the football field...they break down as a unit and all else fails offensively".....
  2. ....so based on the clown show so far, did the Chuckie rebates start yet?...Mark has to pay for his haircuts.............
  3. ...not even going to bother to wing stats......Belichick always talks about three phases.......so just give me the offensive phase where the passing game is a viable threat when called upon as an integral part of the offense...sure as hell do NOT mean in catch up mode.....say generically that the options are 60/40 run/pass or 60/40 pass/run....Daboll needs to determine WEEKLY what is the opposition's weakness and plan to exploit the hell out of it...at the same time, he needs to have Alternate Plan B or C drawn up in the event that A does not work....hate him all you want, but Belichick is THE master of adjustments, which has been an ongoing OBD weakness IMO....said it before and will say it AGAIN, if you want Josh to be our long term franchise QB solution, damn well better mitigate him putting the entire club on his shoulders unless you want him on a gurney....McBeane has added some perceived offensive talent via draft and FA...why "perceived"?.....because it's ALL ON PAPER RIGHT NOW....so Daboll is charged with being able to read and react to the flow of each game, adjusting accordingly, as he expects his players to do weekly....equal standard for coaches AND players IMO...stay tuned....
  4. ...probably wrong, but thought I read Gase was sidelined with eyeball reset surgery and a hernia from the strain of carrying that massive ego....
  5. FWIW, these are two WR's in camp with uniquely different crossroads......the signs at Duke's crossroads say, "Welcome to the NFL"...OR...."Welcome BACK to the CFL"....ball is in HIS court to decide.......as far as Zay, his signs say, " You're Still A Bill" or "Call Mayflower and Start Packin'"......MAJOR decisions for BOTH and I sure as hell hope they make the RIGHT one to fulfill their NFL dreams...good luck fellas.....
  6. ...if he has his act together and can return to the game at a decent, non-embarrassing level (for the GAME and not the MONEY as TOP priority), more power to him.....
  7. ...but think about a 282 lb TE rumblin', mumblin' stumblin' and grumblin' down the seam with only a 185 lb DB in his way.........splat!......
  8. ...he'd be much better off running for office......PERFECT fit.......GOVERNOR Incognito has a nice ring to it............
  9. ...stats and measurables trump production?.....must be that new fuzzy math stuff....go figure..........
  10. ...not much to see here....Cowherd=Florio= two bloviating,. pompous " know it alls"......meh......
  11. ...Jesus...looks like too many Mint Juleps had him coming outta the #7 gate......needs to get on the Benjamin Diet Program....
  12. ..probably right my good friend.....but the genre' of special teams is forever changing as the rules change....
  13. ...agree 'Dawg....this "Zay Hate" is effin' nauseating.....if McDermott & his gang identify the kid as one of the 6-7 WR's in the final 53, so be it.....besides we get to keep the TBD posting experts who are anti-Zay here for another year with resumes' in hand to amuse us, while awaiting their BIG GM or HC call from the other 31....and the humor is free admission.....
  14. ..just a woefully overhyped, overblown and useless stat anyway......exactly how many times does any player get to run 40 yards down the field in a straight line and unimpeded?...
  15. ...but AARP discounts help to keep cap availability in check, right??...........
  16. ...a very fair point......the kid has a cannon plus mucho adrenalin flowing to put the entire team on his back....finesse and touch are all part of the learning process...despite all of the naysayers, he can do this.....
  17. ...thought Trots would have the Isles better prepared than getting broomed out.....
  18. ..he can STILL advise from PRISON, right?.....and wouldn't you think Polian may be a tad smarter than to ***** his name to something that was going to be an abysmal failure?....
  19. ...swear to God you're on a mission to make the Sun go into PERMANENT hiding from you......
  20. ...normal business protocol is to craft a three year business plan.....I'd fire whomever crafted that on a roll of Charmin' to be out of money and belly up after week 8......probably had Madoff as a Senior Financial Advisor......and how the hell could Polian even consider having his name attached to this mess?...seriously............
  21. ...well it must be if you say so....workin' in the Cards' front office I take it??..........
