  1. ...not to mention 20 catches in his 4 year Bflo career....prolific.....
  2. ...guy STILL looks ripped.....somebody posted a pic here and could not believe it...
  3. ...which is where we differ and I'm fine with that....we're good IMO......
  4. ...I'm probably an old school crustacean(code for OLD FART), but I love these kids that show up with humility, dignity and respect for the game as well as those who preceded them paving the way to today's megabucks......won't even waste my time or yours (you'r an astute football guy) listing names of pukeettes bursting on the scene as "ME" guys when a "W' goes up versus throwing teammates under the bus for the "L".......
  5. ...and I agree 138%.........it is melancholy, saddened day for me and my kids bud.....lost my wife in 2015 and my mother in 2017....BUT...reading stories like this help to ease the pain.........
  6. your opinion which I will respect (how this place is SUPPOSED to work) but we WIDELY differ.......they had too many fronts on which to fight wars with limited resources and being strapped....water over the dam....substantial gains (at least so far on paper) have been made in 2019 with FA signings, draftees and coaching changes...aggressive to say the least.....will it work?...who knows...do they deserve preliminary credit for addressing offensive weaknesses?...damn right IMO......"bad outweighs the good at this point " is grossly unfounded IMO, but your choice....
  7. ...good point.....NOT fair to indict Rosen or Mayfield because someone does not like the on field FOOTBALL player....they are both new and how many charitable causes, foundations, volunteer work, etc by NFLers goes unnoticed or unannounced?....it's NOT for the publicity IMO....
  8. ...pretty sure that's where they're headed.....PERFECT fit as "Line Coaches" willin' to work for food....on second thought, that could lead to Chapter 11.....
  9. ...if, IF I remember correctly GB, a quote was posted where McBeane said, "we place a value on a player and that's it"....Shaq's 5th year option exceeded their "value".....would McBeane bring him back at "his price"?...perhaps.....if market insanity chooses to overpay him, best wishes.....
  10. ...probably a speculative unsubstantiated hunch, but it appears so far that there could be some talented football players in the final 37 cuts.....hard to remember the last time Bflo was faced with such a conundrum....
  11. ..I would say this will be a highly diversified offense....only the bloviating Wrecks was dumb enough to publicly advertise "we will be ground and pound".....Daboll (at least on paper so far) has no excuses about lacking talent......he had better be creative and display ability to make quick, in-game adjustments as necessary....depending on what the opposition gives us, 60/40 run/pass works for openers against that opponent.....OR....40/60 run/pass if that is what they'll potentially give us.....take away the long ball and we'll beat you underneath...take away underneath and I think (COUGH) we have a QB who may be able to throw the long ball....stack the box to negate our run game and our passing game has the ability to extract a pound of flesh...one thing I will ABSOLUTELY loathe is if we start playing "turtle ball" once we get the lead....BAD things happen....stay tuned....
  12. ...uncanny how well grounded this kid is.......mindful and humble about the game as well as respectful......quote posted elsewhere about "OUR team and OUR family" says a helluva lot to me.....
  13. ....certainly would be nice if he eventually ended up being our Sproules, Terry Metcalf or Meggett (pre-jail).......a versatile weapon like that in Allen's arsenal would/could pay huge dividends IMO....
  14. by Josh Alper on May 10, 2019, 3:06 PM EDT Bills head coach Sean McDermott stuck to those talking points when asked about passing on the 2020 option on defensive end Shaq Lawson‘s contract. “The critical piece is we’ve had communications with Shaq and we’re on the same page,” McDermott said, via the Buffalo News. “Doesn’t necessarily mean after this year we will go our separate ways. We like the work he’s put in.”
  15. ...agree it is a tough call.....could see McBeane extending Hughes for perhaps two years and looking to 2020 for his premier guy......what the hell do I know though.........
  16. ...that number for a single player investment may be beyond McBeane's wheel house IMO...just sayin'...........
  17. ...GREAT point Hap....isn't the societal push that pills for whatever reason, be it diet, depression, et al are the "magical end all cure all"?....establishing a stoic mindset towards the goal comes first and foremost with meds being the ancillary helper.....not the other way around IMO...
  18. ...major, MAJOR hurdles to overcome recidivism.....hope he can.....Kelly's nephew faces the same challenges but continues to stumble..only the strong survive...good luck lad....
