  1. ...will ALWAYS be doubters about him as well as others in the class....pfft.......I'm more inclined to read critical yet objective assessments by former NFL QB's (the stature of their careers is meaningless) as in Simms, Boomer, Dilfer, "Coach" Palmer or even our new "Coach" Dorsey and what they say, whether good, bad or somewhere in between (more than likely laying out pros and cons)....they are STILL connected to the game versus worrying about some urinalist typing away from under his desk......
  2. ....STILL can't believe the shape he's in at 36........if I could only REMEMBER 36...or 46....or 56................
  3. ....has to be something in the contract language.........$$$ are set......... NFL Draft Rookie Contracts: Round 3 Pick Range Total Value Signing Bonus Picks 65-74 $4,278,420 to $4,028,376 $1,138,382 to $1,031,870 Picks 75-92 $3,975,925 to $3,624,290 $1,002,690 to $863,695 Picks 93-102* $3,458,115 to $3,399,480 $793,704 to $761,516
  4. ...c'mon...name some names to liven up Saturday..............
  5. Why Are There so Many 3rd-Round NFL Draft Picks That Are Still Unsigned? Sigmund Bloom -BR (older article but I think it is the same now) "the dispute stems from the "25 percent rule" per Pasquarelli. That is the rule that allows teams to give rookies raises of up to 25 percent of the combined total of their rookie salary and one-quarter of their signing bonus. Pasquarelli ran the numbers for the first pick of the third round, Indianapolis tight end Dwayne Allen. He needs to check his math, but the difference between giving Allen the minimum salaries and giving him the full 25 percent raise is less than four hundred thousand dollars over the life of the contract. " "What makes this more baffling is that most, if not all of that money is not guaranteed. The difference between the minimum raise and a 25 percent raise is irrelevant if the player is cut before his contract is over. Likewise, if the player becomes quality depth or a starter, the difference in the amount of raise becomes irrelevant because they are playing at a massive discount either way."
  6. ...hopefully some day....look how long it took Ray Guy to get in as a "lowly punter (COUGH)" or how many years it took MLB to recognize relief pitchers.....
  7. ....nicely done and good call bud......when have we had a multiple front offense that can beat you in a multitude of ways?...perhaps back to the Marchibroda era for starters?....sure as hell looks like personnel wise (ok, so far on paper) that we can be that diversified....stay tuned............
  8. ...thinkin' the ONLY lipstick on his arse is "his own"......decent QB?....yes...HOF ?.......seriously?........better than Troy?.....um...ok.......
  9. ...what if a white Bronco is in the video though?........Marcia Clark on speed dial?.....
  10. ....damn right....and STILL going strong at 71.....him and Dick LeBeau (80+) defy all odds.....maybe not HC material, but find better at defenses and I'll go back under my rock....good Lord don't tell me Blowhard Buddy..........
  11. ...exactly right...and same foot.....Sammy II??.......... Rotowire Staff-Nov. 16, 2018 Kroft underwent season-ending foot surgery Friday and will be placed on injured reserve, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Kroft missed the Bengals' past four games due to a fractured right foot and had yet to resume practicing since suffering the injury. His limited progress prompted the Bengals to send him in for the procedure, making Kroft the team's fourth tight end to land on IR this season. Cincinnati signed linebacker Brandon Bell off its practice squad to take Kroft's spot on the 53-man roster.
  12. ...I'm not that smart......put to good use as I'm told, right?..................
  13. hopefully the "TBD fire everyone date" has been postponed....until Monday at least........
  14. ...so as to truncate this to and fro "pee-pee contest", my Cliff Notes version is....Hughes is an ABOVE AVERAGE market performer who was extended at a BELOW AVERAGE market rate...so where is the beef?............
  15. ...Cowgirls had Ed "Too Tall" Jones....we have Ed "Too Small" Oliver....think we'll be just fine as they were......this kid is the real deal IMO.......
  16. .."in game adjustments" has been a critically lacking component for years IMO......pretty sure one of Moo's clubs set a team record for scoring on the opening drive....and then the opposition would adjust and smoke us in the 2nd half.....was on the road with the game on the radio listening to Dopey Dickie Jauron's club with Spent Trent at the helm....out to a quick 14-0 lead versus the Pats.......back in the car 45 minutes later and it's Pats 21-14......pretty damn debilitating to watch wounded dawgs have no answers....
  17. ....so why not?......was it with purpose or for the helluva it?....don't get your point here.....
  18. ...certainly interesting how ex-NFL QB's (their careers don't make a difference IMO; convenient excuse) like Simms, Boomer, Dilfer, Professor Palmer or our newest Professor Dorsey, etc. like this kid...think their objective analyses whether positive, negative or a blend (more than likely as it should be) are more beneficial than some urinalist trying to hide anti-Bills sentiment from their yips....other thread about "national media warming up to Bills" is a non-issue......blowout loss in week one and those bi-polars are on the other side of the fence......
  19. ..and that is this kid's moxy........hardly needs the pontificating Neon Deion to remind him....good call bud.....
