  1. ...Mouse wasn't too bad, right?...the "Master Tinkerer"............
  2. ..NICELY done bud..........some damn good football watchin' right there..............
  3. ...kind of a mute point....despite efforts to determine it by film study reconstruction, Deacon had sacks before they were recordable.....bottom line is Bruce, Reggie & Deacon were THE best and arguing order will be a never ending discussion...at least some of us were blessed to have seen all three.............
  4. ..nicely done with a fair assessment bud......glad to see you're not one of the "camp fodder" gang....think this kid knows this is "IT"......NFL and $$$ or back to the CFL.....stay tuned....
  5. ..Coryell was as masterful as Marchibroda IMO.......Kellen Winslow SR was one of his favorite targets.....Fouts and SD were always fun to watch...saw this game in its entirety and it was a true classic... The Epic in Miami was the National Football League AFC divisional playoff game between the San Diego Chargers and Miami Dolphins that took place on January 2, 1982 in the Miami Orange Bowl. The game, won by the Chargers in overtime, 41–38, is one of the most famous in National Football League lore because of the conditions on the field Team Stats SDG MIA First Downs 34 25 Rush-Yds-TDs 29-149-1 28-78-1 Cmp-Att-Yd-TD-INT 33-54-433-3-1 31-48-423-4-2 Sacked-Yards 2-18 3-29 Net Pass Yards 415 394 Total Yards 564 472 Fumbles-Lost 3-3 2-1 Turnovers 4 3 Penalties-Yards 9-55 7-50
  6. ...as an aside without derailing the thread, Reggie passing at 44 was a major tragedy..............glad to see we still remember his greatness......
  7. ...sure will be some difficult talent decisions ahead......STILL surprised Pegula (yup our "clueless owner") did NOT heed the expert advice of TBD pundits and "fire McBeane.....fire McDermott...".....YET.............
  8. ...fair to say McKenzie performed whereas Ray-Ray had some hiccups?....if so, is McKenzie the better chance to stick with Ray-Ray to PS?...........
  9. ..Duke is interesting...seems to have atoned for early on mistakes, recommitted to football and knows this could be his ONLY NFL chance......some TBD pundits have already labeled him "cap fodder" whereas McBeane said the Duke signing changed their draft philosophy whereby a "high WR pick" was no longer a "top priority".....so who is right?....
  10. ...how the hell do you get a helmet to fit?....AND...will the sparrows be able to breathe??....................
  11. ..should have had McCoy's security detail on retainer......
  12. ...LOL...had tickets and tripped planned to ND in 1976 for Pitt vs ND......Montana ended up on IR and got to watch Slager led Domers get smoked by Dorsett and Pitt 31-10...TD bounced outside off tackle and went 61 yards to "the house"....
  13. ...friends of mine in Bflo say he is one weird dude......nasty, vindictive, caustic, always right and once he has a personal vendetta, he never lets it go...other than that, he's a pretty nice guy (COUGH)....
  14. ,,,thanks bud...CERTAINLY glad he heeded McCoy's tongue lashing and McDermott's "release and eventual re-sign" wake up calls...probably would have ended up in the AFCE as one of our worst nightmares.....stiff camp competition now should keep him "on his toes".....
  15. ...who would certainly be in the conversation of "best ever".....Rams' Fearsome Foursome was dominant+...........
  16. ...if I remember correctly, didn't Bruce become even more effective when he dropped some weight?.....thought he was + or - 290 as a rook and trimmed to near 265...probably wrong.....senior moment AGAIN...
  17. ...EXACTLY....when is the last time we've been faced with a "talent conundrum"?......certainly LONGER than I care to remember.....will be some talented football players in those final 37 cuts.....
  18. ...yup...not even close..........and having Air Coryell and Bill Walsh running the respective shows sure helped.......
  19. ...not sure what rock I've been under, but never knew the Foster kid was 6'2"......
  20. ...LOL......BOTH were Deadskins "medical patients"...we have one and probably don't need another......
  21. ...quote I read was "benign tumor or growth from the head:.........did not clarify if internal or external though.............. Posted by Michael David Smith on June 5, 2019, 1:06 PM EDT A couple months ago, news broke that Williams had a benign tumor or growth removed from his head. Not a lot has been reported about exactly what happened, but Williams is apparently not satisfied that he got adequate medical care from the team.
