  1. ...hard to remember the last time we had this level of solid competition heading into camp........will be some talent in those 37 cuts IMO..............
  2. ...and ANOTHER one hits the open market....should we......?..... Washington cuts TE Manasseh Garner Posted by Charean Williams on June 6, 2019, 5:45 PM EDT Washington waived tight end Manasseh Garner on Thursday, according to the NFL’s official transactions report. Garner, 27, has played one career regular-season game. He originally signed with the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent out of Pittsburgh in 2015. He also has spent time with the Browns, Bills and Broncos. His only career action came with the Bills in 2016.
  3. .....he has a golden opportunity to "put up or start packing"........."carpe diem" lad....your choice..........

Jeff Skinner is staying in Buffalo after the Sabres announced Friday night that he has signed an eight-year extension worth $72 million. The cap hit is the second-highest on the team behind Jack Eichel, whose AAV is at $10M. https://nhl.nbcsports.com/2019/06/07/skinner-signs-72-million-extension-to-stay-with-sabres/
  5. .....good call GB.............. Brian Gaine’s strained relationship with Bill O’Brien a factor in his firing Posted by Michael David Smith on June 8, 2019, 5:21 AM EDT The Texans fired General Manager Brian Gaine on Friday in part because he and head coach Bill O’Brien were not seeing eye to eye. John McClain of the Houston Chronicle reports Gaine’s relationship with O’Brien had eroded. Texans Chairman Cal McNair decided to fire Gaine not for any one reason but simply because he didn’t think the organization was going in the right direction. Gaine was under contract through the 2022 season, so firing him now is going to be an expensive decision. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2019/06/08/brian-gaines-strained-relationship-with-bill-obrien-a-factor-in-his-firing/
  6. ....nicely done GB....found this May 31 update from Matt's wife....has a post surgery facial weakness that hopefully goes away in 6-12 months.......... https://people.com/sports/kelly-stafford-gives-update-recovery-facial-weakness/
  7. ....used to be what happened when they drafted you, right??...........
  8. ...LMAO!...yet another perfectly good pair of Depends down the drain (dammit)...............
  9. ...I agree bud......but at the same time, we should consider realistic possibilities because of the substantial newness......17 years of "we're going....playoffs!....SB bound!...14-2, 13-3, 12-4, 11-5, 10-6 etc, "the schneid is over" et al is so old , it's available on 8-track and cassette...probably on Victrola.......
  10. ...great call 'Fig......how about staunch OL fundamentals before getting cute?.......OL juggling will keep the opposing D on their heels?....seriously?.....leave "on their heels" to Daboll and company where multiple offensive variations can be more effective......a DC is going to fear OL line juggling?...hmmm....WE should fear it...
  11. ...why muddy the waters?....the OL has been UNpredictable (probably to THEMSELVES..) for years...start with a "starting five UNIT" all on the same page before getting "creative" IMO....
  12. ...so now BOTH are dented?.......twins I presume..........
  13. ...have to agree it is a reasonable objective, but keeping in mind not all objectives are met.......whole bunch of newness from personnel (who are the final 53?) as well as coaches....something like 10-6 for WC spot, victory in WC game and a tough loss in the next round would be job well done IMO...9-7 with a near miss, but with significant upside shown is a possibility.........and would SURELY bring out the TBD "Fire McBeane...Fire McDermott...Fire the Damn Beerman..." Gang in short order with their regurgitating diatribe.....
  14. ...if the subject became a consideration, just my opinion that you'd have to do it in tandems....ie. LT/LG pair working together and same for right side....so perhaps substituting in pairs (sounds asinine)......only reason I bring it up is that Holmgren called Shell/Upshaw & Hutch/Jones "legendary"...hence pairs....
  15. .....so where is Benjabum and what is the flavor(s)??...............
  16. ...reluctantly, he has MORE than earned his stripes (dammit).......no problem here.........
  17. ......OL needs to jell as a unit, learning each other's tendencies, etc......Cowher said it is THE most important UNIT on the football field (ie. ALL on the same page)...."if it fails as a unit, everything else fails"...."plug 'n play defeats the "unit theory" IMO....

  19. ...in this day and age of exorbitant "gimme gimme" Augie, wouldn't surprise me one bit to see this kid offer up a hometown discount and see this club through to the "Promised Land"...just sayin'.....
