Ranking Every NFL QB's Supporting Cast for 2019 Brad Gagnon-Bleacher Report-June 13, 2019 has Josh at #24....agree or disagree?....how does he measure up versus the other 31?......... . The Buffalo Bills revamped their offense around quarterback Josh Allen this offseason, and as a result, a supporting cast that ranked 31st in this exercise last year has at least moved out of the bottom five. They at least have plenty of options at running back. LeSean McCoy is declining, and newcomer Frank Gore, 36, doesn't have a lot left. But they also added fifth-year veteran T.J. Yeldon and used a third-round pick on the intriguing Devin Singletary. Odds are good one of those guys emerges, but there's an element of uncertainty there. The same applies to the receiving corps, which added reliable safety valve Cole Beasley and deep threat John Brown to team up with disappointing 2017 second-round pick Zay Jones and late-2018 breakout player Robert Foster. That could be a solid quartet for Allen, but there's no clear-cut No. 1 guy. And ditto for a tight end group that replaced Charles Clay with free-agent addition Tyler Kroft, who is a boom-or-bust player. Kroft scored seven touchdowns in Cincinnati in 2017, but injuries have been a major problem. And he is now dealing with a broken foot. Buffalo might have to rely heavily on rookie third-round pick Dawson Knox, which is far from ideal. This could become a top-10 supporting cast, especially if Singletary becomes another Day 2 running back sensation and Allen can gain early chemistry with playmakers Brown and Kroft. But the Bills still lack a star in his prime, and there's a lot up in the air with big adjustments looming. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2840357-ranking-every-nfl-qbs-supporting-cast-for-2019#slide9''

One Boston Team down....
OldTimeAFLGuy replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
...couple of quick points....Drury wanted to re-sign but wifey nixed that, hating to live in Bfl versus the Big Apple......and how many Bills "wanted out" during "the drought"?....PLENTY of TBD threads of pity saying " NO FA wants to come to Bflo"....so the kid "wanted out"...nobody here has EVER shopped for a better job, right?.....ends up carrying "The Cup", gets the Conn Smythe and a ring.....so hate him?....go figure..... -
...Schwartz became "expendable" when his defensive philosophy did not match up with the Bloviator himself, Train Wrecks.....interestingly, when it was published that Pegula was secretly shopping for a "czar or czarina", talking to Polian, Schwartz said in inner circles that "if that happens, I'l just retire...I have plenty to live on (still owed $13 mil from Detroit)".....to Jimbo's credit, he landed well and seems to be doing ok........good for him....

..LOL...only "The Bear" could get away with that................. ...I pity those poor seats........... -
....nice work and thanks for sharing bud........I may be a bit hesitant about "historic"........BUT....if we could get back to Schwartz type accolades for the defense (believe it was top 5) coupled with anticipated improvements in the offense, we could be in pretty good shape as a well balanced club....stay tuned......

Brian Gaine fired as Texans GM

Complaint: Fired Texans GM Brian Gaine 'targeted' African American employees in series of firings A.J. Perez-USA TODAY SPORTS 1 hr ago Recently fired Houston Texans general manager Brian Gaine “targeted” African American employees in a series of firings during his tenure, a former Texans security coordinator alleged in a complaint filed with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Jeff Pope, who was notified he would not be retained by the team May 8, made a series of allegations in a 4,500-word charge of discrimination complaint obtained by USA TODAY Sports early Thursday morning. Gaine was fired by the Texans on Friday with little insight into the move disclosed by the team. Attempts to reach Gaine were not immediately successful Thursday morning. http://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/complaint-fired-texans-gm-brian-gaine-targeted-african-american-employees-in-series-of-firings/ar-AACPiID?ocid=ientp -

Kevin Johnson making strong push for #2 CB
OldTimeAFLGuy replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
....as an old fart, I love this stuff.....need to make "The Hat" a feared barn to come into.....how it was yesteryear......question was by "how much" versus the expected "W".....17 year drought made coming here like an effin' spa.....no more.... -
...good call bud...I remember the same....some TBD posters disagreed, favoring a #1.........another interesting quote regarding WR's was Mc Beane saying (paraphrased), "the signing of Duke Williams made drafting a WR early not a top priority".......and some TBD pundits already have labeled him as "camp fodder.....won't even make the roster...".......gonna be interesting.....stay tuned.....
