  1. Posted by Michael David Smith on June 25, 2019, 2:33 PM EDT Cincinnati announced today that rookie left tackle Jonah Williams had shoulder surgery to repair a torn labrum and is likely to miss the year. He was injured during a practice this month.
  2. ......way too costly to fit that name on a damn uniform....would need two rows.............
  3. ...looks more like he is "an" owner and not THE owner.....I'd bet on the banker being the majority shareholder...... Union Broadcasting purchased WHB from Kanza for $8 million, considered a high price for an AM radio station. Union Broadcasting was owned by banker Jerry Green, former Royals players Jeff Montgomery and Brian McRae, broadcasters Kevin Kietzman and Duke Frye, and Chad Boeger, owner of the sports station KCTE in Independence, Missouri. Because KCTE could only broadcast in the daytime, Union transferred much of the sports radio format, including sports updates from ESPN Radio and games from the Westwood One radio network, to WHB in October 1999. In response, Entercom moved WDAF to FM in 2002 to make way for a rival sports station, 610 KCSP. Jason Whitlock, Bill Maas, and Tim Grunhard, who were a part of the first years of WHB programming, were hired by KCSP. Soren Petro joined WHB after KMBZ ended its sports talk programming and moved it to KCSP. He started in January 2004.
  4. ...so where the hell do I sign up?......I'd be unequivocally "the bottom of the barrel" so I'll take $2 mil....fair enough??,,,,,,,,,
  5. ...yet they're talkin' $34 mil/year for mediocrity........go figure......
  6. ....as "Wolt Garrison" would say, "just a 'lil pinch between your cheek and gum"......Cowboys speak...........
  7. ...LOL...remember it well.....we had two busloads of drunks....two guys who were best friends, with one being a diehard Bills fan and the other a Raiders fan, beat the crap outta each other with the Bills "W"......The Raiders dude refused to ride the bus home and hitchhiked back to Roch-Cha-Cha......even had divas back in 1974 youngins'........"The Comeback" and Raiduhs 51-3 thumping were gratifying.....Fins Ricky with 220+ in the snow but Bflo prevailing 37-24 so noted....
  8. ...not sure if it is still the norm, but the old standard was for every 60 minutes of television, 41 minutes is programming and 19 minutes is commercials.........
  9. ...no but here is another for your consideration............. Former Redskins TE Fred Davis attempting NFL comeback Zach Links, Pro Football Rumors 1 hr ago Former Redskins tight end Fred Davis hasn’t played in the NFL in years, but that’s not stopping him from chasing his goal of a return to professional football. Late last week, Davis participated in the XFL’s summer showcase with an eye on joining the upstart league and, ultimately, getting back on the NFL radar. “For me, that’s what it’s really about — having the chance to still be able to play the game you love to play, that you’ve played for a long time,” Davis said. “Even though you take a break off, it doesn’t mean you can’t play it now.” http://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/former-redskins-te-fred-davis-attempting-nfl-comeback/ar-AADlT5F?li=BBnba9I&ocid=ientp
  10. ...um...well okay......the Mahomes saga.....the kid defies all "Sophomore Slump" trepidations and is MVP....so let's back up to how badly Bflo blew the pick...how many TBD picking experts said "no way" because he was a product of the "leper like Air Raid" and "NO Air Raid QB EVER makes it in the NFL"?...."crickets" as far as mea cuplas but they're sure as hell chastizing Bflo.....fraudulent you say?...Mahomes happened to defy most odds as well as having Andy as his QB guru......
  11. ...NOT a homer...get a SEVERE rash from "drinkin' kool-aid"......and could give a rat's azz about rebuttals from the KNOWN "TBD Negative Nellies"......this McBeane guy seems to leave NO stone unturned when searching for talent.....and...if he finds somebody who may be of interest, he has NO problem showing him the door as fast as he entered it....he's shoppin' 24/7/365 to make this club better.....Whaley was somewhat similar, but he was being directed versus McBeane being THE "director("yes McDermott has input"), a more bonafide in "full charge GM"....entering year 57 (yup, older than dirt) following this club, I conservatively think ('eff irrational exuberance) that we are in the best position today since "the drought" and could even challenge the Polian years....stay tuned...
  12. ...so for a little mindless Oldtime senior moment yap.....think we kept Tolbert around for an extra year due to locker room vet presence....wonder if we kept DiMarco around in 2018 as a safety valve for inept TE blocking and/or woeful OL as a whole, despite limited use?....other than Smith, these 2019 TE potentials need duality, as in catching and blocking.....and it appears (yes on paper so far) that the OL should be vastly improved...do you keep DiMarco around and what would be his role to occupy a spot on the final 53?...........
  13. ...so here we are in the "slow news day let's start the bring 'em in " threads mode.....oh joy....we do NOT even know what the hell we have in our own damn barn now and we're in the "grass MUST be greener on the other side" mode much less for a wounded duck...I missed the memo.............
  14. ....guess it's uncanny to me how this club finds success in the 5th round starting with Meatball.......Milano, 2018 picks Neal & Teller, and now the Joseph kid in 2019....hell trade all of our spots for 5th round slots and we won't have to tune in until Saturday....decreases your beer budget by 47% for Draft Weekend.....
  15. ....um...er....well....for whatever reasons/excuses are offered up for the 2018 abberation, for 2019 and as they say in Mizzou, "SHOW ME"....previous lustre means squat today............ Buffalo Bills’ LeSean McCoy: It’s hard to replace a guy like me Today 9:43 AM By Ryan Talbot | rtalbot@nyup.com LeSean McCoy averaged 3.2 yards per carry while rushing for 514 yards in 2018. Both totals were career-lows for the Buffalo Bills running back. Despite coming off of the worst season of his career, McCoy isn’t lacking confidence entering 2019. https://www.newyorkupstate.com/buffalo-bills/2019/06/buffalo-bills-lesean-mccoy-its-hard-to-replace-a-guy-like-me.html
  16. ...bet your azz I'd get the hell outta his way.......
  17. ...so Ed "Too Small" Oliver could turn out to be....Ed "Not Too Small After All" Oliver....stay tuned........I'm in.........
  18. ...and now McBeane has done his due diligence in assembling a cadre of offensive talent (yes I know, on paper so far)....many rightfully said Daboll had garbage to work with last year, starting with the offensive line....even if the talent does not grade out as "A", if it is "B+" versus last year's "C-", the onus is on him to now step up IMO....
  19. ...sideline grease fire.......happened to them in a tanning booth...........
  20. ....VERY shocking the usual "TBD trio" has not negatively opined yet on your optimism....something is wrong.....going to look up 911's number right now...
