...think I understand your meaning of "gadget guys" GB.....perhaps wrong, but Spiller and Roscoe come to mind.......Roscoe was termed a "unnecessary "luxury pick".....didn't one of our OC braintrusts try Spiller "between the tackles"?.....think the battle cry was that Daboll "had no talent to work with" and perhaps rightfully so...but I think he does now (sure it's on paper at this juncture)....so I think it's realistic to look for him to be innovative and creative without the need for gadget crap.....just my opinion........

...even after 33 years, I try to keep to myself...."Gladys Kravetz" lives across the street (retired as is her husband).....doesn't miss a thing..if I doze off watching the tube with front door open and outside lights off, she'll call at 10:30PM to ask me, "is everything all right?"......just bought another hot rod for my collection and she yelled over, "how can one person drive all of those cars?".....next door to her is a sweet lady slipping with dementia.....no longer remembers my name....lost her husband about eight years ago......won't move closer to her son because she doesn't like the daughter-in-law......fear for her safety.....and then we have "Borrow Boy" who continually looks to borrow other people's stuff.....different lawn tractor every week.....borrowed my roto tiller and destroyed it, leaving at the far end of the house with no mention.......cost me $850 to buy a new one and never got an apology or offer to repair.....eff him......guy next door had wife #4 leave him after 12 years....helped raised her two boys through their early years as well as late teens.....totally abandoned the boys, refusing to show at their weddings or acknowledge the birth of their children......not sure if I live in a neighborhood or asylum community......time to GTFO..........

...thanks bro...unfortunately lost my wife tragically four years ago....my kids are both local but have their own lives/agendas....we do go out to dinner together weekly...you make the best of the cards you're dealt or rot on the vine.....used to chef up Sunday dinners before her passing....

...today is flank steak marinated in a chimichurri marsala sauce, marinated lemon pepper mushrooms caps and green/red/jalapeno peppers...grand finale is roasted corn on the cob with olive oil and reggiano parmigiano....party of one though....

...probably just my archaic, old school opinion bud, but I prefer the guys who early on are humble, mindful and respectful of the game and those that paved their way, letting their play between the stripes do the "talkin' initially" (HINT: Josh Allen)...again my opinion, but guys like Baker, RG II 5/8, Cam or even Kaep who make it about ME far too soon just rub me the wrong way....and I'm sure others see it as brash or brazen confidence, with a little swagger thrown in....I respect those despite us differing.....
