  7. ...yup the same Mayor Lovely under investigation for possible campaign funds irregularities....... Rochester Police Locust Club president calls on mayor to resign WHECTV Updated: September 09, 2020 04:44 PM Created: September 09, 2020 03:37 PM ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — The president of the Rochester Police Locust Club is calling on Mayor Lovely Warren to resign. During a press conference Wednesday, News10NBC Investigative Reporter Jennifer Lewke asked Locust Club President Mike Mazzeo if he was calling on the mayor to resign. He said "yes." The statement comes after Rochester Police Chief La'Ron Singletary announced his retirement from the Rochester Police Department Tuesday amid calls from protesters for him and Mayor Warren to resign. Several other members of RPD command either announced their retirement or stepped down to a lower rank Tuesday as well. Singletary's last day as chief will be Sept. 29. https://www.whec.com/rochester-new-york-news/rochester-police-locust-club-president-calls-on-mayor-to-resign/5857041/?cat=565 New round of subpoenas issued in investigation into Mayor Warren campaign funds Gary Craig Rochester Democrat and Chronicle-May 29, 2020 The Monroe County District Attorney's Office has subpoenaed businesses and other entities that assisted the campaign. Monroe County District Attorney Sandra Doorley Thursday acknowledged that prosecutors in March issued subpoenas with the investigation, but she would provide no more details except to say the investigation is ongoing. Asked about the subpoenas, attorney Joseph Damelio, who represents Warren, said he knew of the subpoenas but has not been able to learn from prosecutors their intent or focus with the current investigative fact-finding. "I have been told that subpoenas have been dropped," Damelio said. Damelio said he was surprised to learn of the subpoenas because the investigation appeared dormant, if not dead. "We haven't heard anything in over a year," he said. On Thursday, City Hall said it had received several media inquiries and questioned why Doorley responded to media questions. (The Democrat and Chronicle approached Doorley with information and she confirmed the investigation was continuing and the issuance of subpoenas, but would answer no additional questions.) https://www.democratandchronicle.com/story/news/2020/05/29/new-subpoenas-issued-in-mayor-lovely-warren-campaign-funds-investigation-rochester-ny/5274475002/

  14. ....LMAO...how shocking....as soon as GOP Gov Kristi gave the green light, I NEVER anticipated such researchers' (COUGH) objective findings......now if it was renamed the "Sturgis BLM Peace Rally", over/under on cases is six.............. Sturgis Motorcycle Rally linked to 20% of US coronavirus cases in August: researchers More than 460,000 people attended the 10-day rally By Evie Fordham | Fox News Nineteen percent of the 1.4 million new coronavirus cases in the U.S. between Aug. 2 and Sept. 2 can be traced back to the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally held in South Dakota, according to researchers from San Diego State University's Center for Health Economics & Policy Studies. That's more than 266,000 coronavirus cases attributed to the 10-day event, which more than 460,000 people attended despite fears it could become a so-called super-spreader event. "We conclude that the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally generated public health costs of approximately $12.2 billion," the researchers wrote in a paper. "This is enough to have paid each of the estimated 462,182 rally attendees $26,553.64 not to attend." The event took place from Aug. 7 to Aug. 16 in the town of Sturgis, which has a population of roughly 7,000 people. The researchers said the rally increased coronavirus cases by approximately six to seven per 1,000 population in Meade County, home to Sturgis. "These results suggest that in contrast to prior large gatherings that have been studied (i.e., Tulsa and BLM protests), in the case of Sturgis, the local resident population appeared to participate in the events," the researchers wrote. "This raises the possibility that the local population may be at risk for COVID-19 spread, especially if mitigating strategies (i.e., mask-wearing, interacting closely with only household members, avoiding crowds) were not undertaken." https://www.foxnews.com/health/sturgis-motorcycle-rally-coronavirus-cases-south-dakota

Chief La’Ron Singletary, entire RPD command staff step down amid protests 09/08/2020 04:41 PM Updated 9 minutes ago WHECTV Updated: September 08, 2020 04:41 PM Created: September 08, 2020 03:10 PM ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Rochester Police Chief La’Ron Singletary has retired from the Rochester Police Department. The announcement was made Tuesday amid calls from protesters for him and Rochester Mayor Lovely Warren to resign after the death of Daniel Prude. Warren has not announced any plans to resign, nor did she ask Singletary to retire. Singletary served the RPD for 20 years and became the chief in July 2019 after a national search that drew more than 20 applicants. He was recommended for the job unanimously by the internal review committee. The announcement read, in part, “As a man of integrity, I will not sit idly by while outside entities attempt to destroy my character. The events over the past week are an attempt to destroy my character and integrity. The members of the Rochester Police Department and the Greater Rochester Community know my reputation and know what I stand for. The mischaracterization and the politicization of the actions that I took after being informed of Mr. Prude’s death is not based on facts, and is not what I stand for. I would like to thank the men and women of the Rochester Police Department, as well as the Rochester Community for allowing me the honor of serving as your Chief and fulfilling a lifelong dream. I look forward to continuing to serve our community in my next chapter.” Deputy Chief Joseph Morabito also announced his retirement after more than 34 years of service to the RPD. Deputy Chief Mark Simmons is returning to the rank of lieutenant. Commander Fabian Rivera announced his retirement, and Commander Henry Favor is returning to his previous rank of lieutenant. https://www.whec.com/rochester-new-york-news/rpd-chief-larsquoron-singletary-retires-amid-protests/5855709/?cat=565
