Ukrainian airplane shot down by mistake by Iranian anti-aircraft missile, Pentagon officials believe By Greg Norman, Lucas Tomlinson | Fox News The Ukrainian passenger plane that crashed shortly after taking off from Tehran’s international airport Wednesday was shot down by mistake by an Iranian anti-aircraft missile, Pentagon officials told Fox News. Officials said U.S. intelligence increasingly points at the airliner being accidentally struck by a Russian-made missile, killing all 176 people on board the flight, just hours after Iran fired more than a dozen ballistic missiles targeting two military bases housing American and coalition troops. The revelations come as Ukrainian investigators reportedly are awaiting permission from Iranian authorities to examine the crash site and look for missile fragments. Iran's head of civil aviation was quoted by the ISNA News Agency as saying Thursday that it was "impossible that a missile hit the Ukrainian plane" bound for Kiev, according to Reuters, and its officials have blamed a technical malfunction for the aircraft’s doom. "A strike by a missile, possibly a Tor missile system, is among the main (theories), as information has surfaced on the internet about elements of a missile being found near the site of the crash," Oleksiy Danilov, secretary of Ukraine's Security Council, told Ukrainian media. He did not elaborate on where he saw the information. https://www.foxnews.com/world/ukrainian-airplane-shot-down-by-mistake-by-iranian-anti-aircraft-missile-pentagon-officials-believe -

...DEAD ON and nicely done......perhaps a naive observation, but when do we reach a point, if ever, where skin color dictates a candidate's hiring?...and good luck proving the non-hire was race based....some have posted here regarding no interviews for Frazier......his first shot as HC graduating from coordinator ranks didn't work, as it has for many others regardless of skin color.....secondly, he'll be 61 in April, so does he want the extra rigors of being a HC?.....don't coordinators who gt hired as HC, then fired, revert back to their old coordinator positions and are comfortable with it, regardless of skin color?.....didn't Schwartz get canned as a HC and go back to his DC roots and seemingly comfortable with it?....is the intrview satisfaction probably exploited?.....did Jurrah ever intend to hire Marvin Lewis?...doubtful.....did the Colts ever intend to hire Frazier?...dunno.....at the same time, if Frazier now gets an interview for HC vacancy, is it because of skin color or skill set as a potential HC?......NO ANSWER HERE but demeaning IMO to get an interview for "rule satisfaction"... -

...so is it Trump's fault or Iran's "best 'n the brightest"?.....and we're gonna change this mentality?...... Soleimani funeral stampede in Iran leaves at least 56 dead, state TV reports By Greg Norman, Danielle Wallace | Fox News At least 56 Iranians were crushed to death Tuesday in a stampede that erupted during the funeral for Qassem Soleimani, the general killed last week in a U.S. airstrike, the country’s state media is reporting. The gory episode in Soleimani's hometown of Kerman, which also reportedly left more than 200 injured, came as the U.S. Maritime Administration is warning ships across the Middle East to be on alert for possible retaliatory attacks from Iran. “Unfortunately as a result of the stampede, some of our compatriots have been injured and some have been killed during the funeral processions," Pirhossein Koulivand, the head of Iran’s emergency medical services, told state media. https://www.foxnews.com/world/iran-stampede-soleimani-dead-injured-kerman-mourners -
but if you're hired as a HC and knowing which way your background tends you to lean, don't you hire and trust a coordinator that is the opposite of your background leanings?.....TONS of TBD posts saying the "conservative offense" has McDermott's stamp because of his defensive background.....so is Daboll handcuffed?......or....does McDermott NOT have the element of trust in his OC to shore up the "other side"?......do we get to the point where "it's the offensive personnel stupid" mantra goes away?.....don't the GOOD coaches game plan to personnel strengths?....again, is that a Daboll weakness or McDermott limitation?.....

...interesting perspective.....maybe political practices and business practices are a bad mix......the political landscape is littered with career politicians and/or appointees (never rid of parasitic dead weight) .....the private sector provides NO protectionism......maybe trying to meld the two cannot happen....if in the political arena an appointee differs from the President's view(s), any President and not just Trump, is the immediate consequence "the ax"?...I have no idea....., -
