Mike Pouncey say veteran players are organizing a separate strike fund Posted by Mike Florio on March 1, 2020, 4:32 PM EST For the past few years, the NFL Players Association has been squirreling away cash in the event of a work stoppage in 2021. Chargers center Mike Pouncey claims that he and other veterans will be creating a separate strike fund to help players get through a season without football. “We are in the process of drawing up another fund to help in the wake of this 2021 strike,” Pouncey said on Instagram. “I myself @mikepouncey and @russellokung are all putting up 250k apiece along with a lot of other vet players stay tuned!!” This follows a recent video from Mike Pouncey, whose choice of language was far from i-dentical to his identical twice Maurkice. In Mike’s video, he provided that all players will be taken care of during a 2021 strike. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2020/03/01/mike-pouncey-say-veteran-players-are-organizing-a-separate-strike-fund/
  10. ...here is a comparative recoup time for NHL's Stamkos having same surgery............. Lightning's Steven Stamkos out 6-8 weeks after surgery Associated Press 4:33 PM ET TAMPA, Fla. -- Tampa Bay Lightning captain Steven Stamkos will undergo surgery for a core muscle injury and is expected to miss the rest of the regular season and potentially the first round of the playoffs. The Lightning said Saturday that Stamkos will be out for approximately six to eight weeks, including rest and recovery. The Lightning are second in the Atlantic Division, and the playoffs are scheduled to begin the week of April 6. Stamkos has 29 goals and 66 points this season, both second on the team behind Nikita Kucherov. The surgery will be performed Monday by Dr. Michael Brunt at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. Stamkos, the overall No. 1 draft pick in 2008 and twice the NHL's top goal scorer, will miss a significant amount of action due to injury for the fourth time since 2014. After not missing a game because of injury in his first five seasons, Stamkos suffered a broken leg in Boston during a game on Nov. 11, 2014, when he crashed into the goal post and had to be stretchered off the ice. He underwent surgery to insert a titanium rod in the leg and missed all but 37 games that season. https://www.espn.com/nhl/story/_/id/28809202/lightning-steven-stamkos-6-8-weeks-surgery

Biden calls SC primary 'real comeback' as he sets sights on Super Tuesday By Andrew O'Reilly | Fox News Former Vice President Joe Biden called his victory in Saturday night’s South Carolina Democratic primary “a real comeback” as he looks to carry momentum into the upcoming Super Tuesday primaries. Biden, who appeared on “Fox News Sunday,” seemed confident that the South Carolina win shows he can challenge his Democratic presidential primary rival Bernie Sanders and reclaim the mantle as his party’s front-runner in the race to battle President Trump in November’s general election. “It’s a big boost,” Biden said. “I think it starts the real comeback and we picked up a lot of delegates.” https://www.foxnews.com/politics/biden-calls-sc-primary-real-comeback-as-he-sets-sights-on-super-tuesday
  16. ....900 certainly takes its toll but then again, he's a youngster.....BUT those numbers as a steady diet in the NFL equal short career......look at the toll that ungodly carries had on DeMarco Murray, Larry Johnson, Dirty Bird Anderson, et al.....look at Seattle's Shaun Alexander...averages 330 carries/yr over a 5 year span (2001-2005)....in 2006, signed an 8 year, $62 mil deal (only $15 mil guaranteed) and went up in smoke............
  17. ..certainly agree.....think the kid has progressed well and declining the option was the right move.....probably pushed him to achieve more in 2019 and may have resulted in an uptick in his price.....he'll test FA IMO and I would think Beane comes up with a fair offer.....
  18. ...CBS and NBC?.....so all six viewers will be glued I guess............. Bloomberg coronavirus message to air on primetime TV after billionaire buys 3 minutes on CBS, NBC By Dom Calicchio | Fox News Billionaire presidential candidate Mike Bloomberg released an “Address to the Nation” Saturday on the coronavirus outbreak, with plans to air the video on primetime TV Sunday night. The three-minute-long spot, already posted online, shows Bloomberg in an office with an American flag in the background, appearing to strive for a White House visual effect. “At times like this, it’s the job of the president to reassure the public that he or she is taking all the necessary steps to protect the health and wellbeing of every citizen,” Bloomberg says, referring to the outbreak. The video -- scheduled to air around 8:30 p.m. on CBS and NBC -- came on the same day that Bloomberg’s rivals in the race for the Democratic presidential nomination were competing in the South Carolina primary – the last of four early races that Bloomberg, a late entrant, chose to skip. https://www.foxnews.com/politics/bloomberg-coronavirus-message-to-air-on-primetime-tv-after-billionaire-buys-3-minutes-on-cbs-nbc
  19. Jeff Legwold ESPN Senior Writer: "It was the second-fastest 40 time for a linebacker at the combine since 2006, behind only Shaquem Griffin, who ran a 4.38 at the 2018 combine. Simmons, however, weighed in 11 pounds heavier and is 3⅝ inches taller than Griffin was at the combine."
  20. ...would you trade down to let's say 27, to hopefully pick up an extra 2nd?.............
