Chase Edmonds to Miami. 2/12.6 -
This is where I'm at. Aim higher with guys like Jones, etc but if those fall through then I'll take Shaq back on a 1 year deal worth near the vet min.
-
I was just about to post this haha. No effort? Not a process guy? Sureee
-
In a perfect world, yes. This FO has invested too many resources on Allen and need to get him help to see if he can be the guy ASAP. The Jets were desperate for a QB and the Colts got a great haul. Teams will probably not be willing to pay that high a price for a non-QB though. In the scenario where a trade down doesn't materialize however, you don't pass up on an elite talent like Bosa for example for an inferior offensive prospect.
-
Not sure I agree with that, not yet at least. The prior regime did a better job of creating/coaching up quality depth imo. Our previous WR core was at one point Watkins/Woods/Goodwin/Hogan/Harvin. With prime Shady and a great #2 in Gillislee in the backfield. Groy stepped right in for Wood after his injury and the line didn't miss a beat. Heck even Kouandjio held his own filling in for Glenn for a handful of games in 2016. The defense had depth and talent too but Rex was just an idiot. Gilmore/Darby/Robey are all starting elsewhere, Bradham/Brown/Dareus as well. Beane has prioritzed bringing in his own guys like KB/Tolbert/Ducasse and it really hasn't worked out. This offseason is obviously huge for this regime. They (should) have a high pick at the beginning of every round and lots of cap space. Need to add a lot of talent and do everything they can to develop Allen.
-
They are tanking. That was their plan ever since they got here and traded away talent and down in the draft (passing on Mahomes and Watson in the process) for more draft picks. Just happened to overachieve last year. This team needs to just bottom out at this point. The talent deficit is just too great, especially on the offensive side of the ball.
-
I think that is what Beane is hoping they can turn him into. Cam has a 58% career completion percentage but more than makes up for it in his yards/attempt and running ability. Getting big targets like Benjamin is the type of skillset Allen would seem to benefit from.

RB Isaiah Crowell to the NYJ on a 3-Year Deal
Mikie's Bills replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Would be good for the Bills if they took him #1, but that's looking doubtful. Either way, this is a deep draft at RB. Would probably be smarter for the Browns to land a QB and Fitzpatrick in the 1st and get a RB in the 2nd -
Rap Sheet: Bills pursuing Bradford for deal

Yea, as i said on the 2nd page, Rap never tweeted this. Was skeptical when no one else confirmed it -
Rap Sheet: Bills pursuing Bradford for deal

I'd be okay with this. Highest risk but highest upside of any available QB probably. I don't see this posted on Rap's timeline though. Is this legit? -
DT Star Lotulelei to Bills!
Mikie's Bills replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
McDermott is 10X the coach Rex was, not debating that. Whaley assembled some very talented teams on both sides of the ball during his tenure here though. Top 5 defense, top rushing offenses (obviously not during the same year or else the drought would have been over sooner lol) and those players that he brought in and left to other teams have been key guys on winning teams and getting paid (Bradham/Darby/Gilmore/Watkins/Woods/Hogan/ Robey/ can even toss in Goodwin if you like). This regime clearly has a plan, if they can execute it and find their franchise QB then they'll be successful. I would just rather they not make the same mistakes as Rex with regards to bringing in their former guys just because they're "their guys". No more Kaelin Clays or Mike Tolberts of the world. Benjamin could be decent piece longterm, but his health and weight issues could make him a risky investment. Star remains to be seen, depends on the money and if he can make an impact or just another guy. We'll see. -
DT Star Lotulelei to Bills!

You're kinda making my point for me though. Whaley came from Pittsburgh, not the Jets. Rex had too much pull in player personnel decisions while he was here, bringing in his below average former players. Took the 4th best defense and flushed it down the drain. Don't even get me started on the wasted draft picks used on 3-4 players trying to fit Rex's scheme when we were the perfect 4-3 defense. If Whaley was the one that wanted to hire Rex I'd give him more of the blame, but by all accounts he was the owner's hire. -

He's an average player that fills a need, hope they didn't overpay. People like to complain about Whaley but he brought in talent (whether or not the coaching staff could utilize it was another story), but McBeane seems to be prioritizing their familiarity with former players (Tolbert/ Benjamin/ Star) over possibly more talented options out there (or even ones that were already on the roster when they took over in some cases). Will be interesting to see how it turns out. What they do with the QB position (as with most regimes) will determine their fate. -
Sammy Watwins to KC on a 3 Year Deal
Mikie's Bills replied to *******'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They basically paid Sammy what they were paying Alex Smith last year. The benefit of having your starting QB on his rookie contract. -
Daniel jeremiah mock has a key Bills message
Mikie's Bills replied to DJB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I've said this before, but imo a lot of mock draft experts are overlooking Lamar Jackson's potential fit with the Chargers at 17. I'm betting Lynn is pounding the table for this guy to run the same offense Tyrod ran with Shady 2 years ago. Jackson/Gordon read option= top 3 rushing offense, and with that Defensive front 7? That's a recipe for contending for a playoff spot year in and out. A true successor to Philip Rivers one year from now where Jackson can redshirt a year and learn a lot from. Just saying that I don't think it's a given that Jackson even makes it to 21. That being said if they don't move up I'm fine with them taking Jackson. Can sit behind Tyrod for a year and get used to taking snaps from under center. -
Watching it again even if he catches it and goes out of bounds they are in FG range with 4 secs left. So yea credit him for making the throw.
-
I like Kubiak but I'm conflicted because I don't think our o-line is suited for the ZBS. They're a bunch of big strong guys that blow people off the ball, not small athletic ones. I still have PTSD from all the wasted draft picks we used from switching back and forth from 4-3 to 3-4 all those years.
-
I would be on board with this if they're there. I'm guessing the Chargers would be very interested in Jackson though. Lynn would love to run the same offense we had last year and they would guranteed to have the #1 rushing offense with Jackson/Gordon. May need to move in front of them in order to land him.

Dareus traded to Jacksonville!
Mikie's Bills replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That would be nice, because I scrolled down to the bottom of this page http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/yearly/cap/and it had high dead cap hits until 2021 so I was a little concerned. -

Sorry, late to the party and don't want to go through 76 pages, but can someone tell me how much and for how many years is his dead money will be on our books? -
Last nights former Bills players

Robey was cut by the new regime. He was already under contract for cheap.
