I just don't see Terrell Davis as an all time great - heck I think Priest Holmes was the better player. For those 3 years, Holmes was one of the best backs I've ever seen play.
Just goes to show you what super bowls do for your perception as a player.
Wrong. TD was the best player in the sport from 96-98 and was the catalyst for that Broncos team.
TD is one one of the top 10-15 RB's to ever play. Anyone would take him over Curtis Martin, for example.
His career was cut short, but there is no denying his greatness.
If you saw TD play, there is no other opinion on him. He is an all time great.

Let's worry about him beating what looks to be an all time bad team in Jets on opening day, then take it from there.
I am not going to bash McDermott or praise him until the results come in. The rest is just propaganda.

Watkins and Clay have to stay healthy.
A third receiving option needs to emerge.
Taylor needs to be a better thrower. 2 years of starting may help that.
Or this running game will amount nothing.
Also, a better tackling defense is the team's biggest weakness that needs to shore up or playoff talk is dead.

Thurman Thomas played for the Bills from 1988-99. In those years, the Bills made the playoffs ten times.
The Bills entered the NFL in 1970 and have made the playoffs in 13 of 57 seasons.
It means the Bills made the playoffs THREE times without Thurman on the roster in their NFL existence.
Now that's an all time scary number.

The Bills had no chance last year because Ryan was an AWFUL coach and their best offensive player (Watkins) and their best defensive (Dareus) were UNRELIABLE for different reasons.
McDermott is trying to cover for this happening again in 2017, so we will see how it goes.
The Bills CANNOT be anything if Watkins and Dareus prove to be unreliable again. I guess this is why they wanted an extra first for next year, just in case this scenario plays out again.
No team can function if you have a bad coaching staff and your very best players on both sides of the ball are unreliable.

Nothing embarrassing about the search.
Maybe this time the Bills will actually have a HC and GM that work in tandem to end this freaking drought.
We will see how it goes. No need to complain about until they fail, if they fail.
