Trading for an established WR in season can be a very risky proposition. It can enhance your team or totally wreck team chemistry.
Because of that risk (chemistry), I ain't trading anything above a 5th rounder for Landry.

I'm on the fence a lot with this topic.
One week I wanna draft Josh Allen. Then the next week I feel like just rolling with Taylor and just use UFA and bring in Landry and John Brown as starting WR's in 2018. Problem solved.
I do know that if Taylor is to remain the starting QB, him and the team need to do a better job on the road.
Can't be a consistent winner if you are just winning home games.

Trading away Watkins, Darby and Dareus are one thing, but if the Bills get rid of Glenn when it's obvious his presence is massive when he's out there on the field, is another.
Unless the Bills are getting a boat load of picks, Glenn goes nowhere.
-
I remember on a Monday Night game, he piggybacked an Oiler defender after an incomplete pass on the sidelines.
I don't remember if it was. Dishman or Johnson. Whomever it was, Lofton didn't drop him.

Denver may not draft a QB though. Keep in mind they just used a 1st rounder on Paxton Lynch just 1 year ago
How much do they really like Lynch though.
-
You can chalk up Denver as another QB needy team.
The Bills might have to hope Taylor is the answer and they love Peterman's future cause the pickings in the 2018 draft are getting slimmer and slimmer.
God willing, two very low first rounders are the reason.

Go into Thursday's game treating the Jets like a SB contender.
Stay focused and punch them in the mouth.
Plus, the Meadowlands will be like Buffalo South. Bills fans will be coming here in droves.

I am covering my tracks for this year, meaning..................
McCoy is an INVALUABLE member of this team, but he has a history of being banged up.
I don't think any Bills fan is comfortable with Tolbert as a full timer if McCoy goes down.
If there is any move that the Bills make, it should be for Hyde. He is a pending FA, so it really should only cost what they gave up for Dareus.
What do you guys think?
-
McBeane doesn't have to get rid of EVERY player that was here before they got here, lol.
-
I heard this same crap when the Devils were winning a million Cups.
Let me scream this so the OP can understand this........
WINNING IS NEVER BORING.
-
The point of the trade was for the Bills to get away from that albatross, player and contract....,....................
not the compensation.
-
No comparison.
McCoy and Jackson were LIGHT YEARS more productive going out the door in Philly than Watkins and Dareus were here.
Watkins gave the Bills nothing last year and Dareus has been a waste for years.
And Darby was awful last year and not a scheme fit.
Again, no comparison.
-
I guess some people haven't been keeping an eye on Dareus the last couple of years and are stuck in 2014.
-
This may be the dumbest thread ever on any forum, anywhere in the history of threads.
-
I don't know how any Bills fan can complain about this trade.
Dareus is a waste and a cancer. Good riddance and a MASSIVE contract off the books.
Win-win, addition by subtraction.
Great day to be a Bills fan.
They will try to win today and win tomorrow. Always. In 2 years Dareus will not be wasting any space in our salary cap. He is an average player at a position that doesnt mattter as much anymore. Super Bowl defenses have stars that rush the passer or defend the pass. Whaley didnt understand this, worse still he made the Dareus contract virtually impossible to get out of. McBeane is counting their blessings they are able to get a draft pick and lower his cap hit for a couple years before shedding it entirely. It is more likely that Dareus gets suspended again than it is that he propels any team to a Super Bowl.
This move shows McBeane has a 5 year minimum. That puts them at the end of all the rookie contracts they get next year. Lots of time to right the ship and were only in the beginning stages. 2017 is for shedding overrated players and stupidly large contracts, 2018 is for getting the pieces they need for the future, 2019 and beyond is when they hope to be yearly contenders. A 3 year plan with 2+ years of evaluation. Finally we are doing it right.
And they have a chance at being successful now.
I am not getting ahead of myself just yet. Just win a very winnable Raiders game.

Is there any doubt that Gronkowki is the best TE of all time?
I guess you never heard of guys like Mackey, Ditka or Kellen Winslow.
Don't crown guys of today when guys from yesteryear were phenomenal in their own right.

Dareus finally did something.

Is Rex Ryan coaching this team today.
Major indictment game for McDermott.

Totally back to reality.

Big time back to reality folks.
