Breakdown of Leonard Fournette 47 yard touchdown
HoofHearted replied to HoofHearted's topic in The Stadium Wall
where you at? @AlCowlingsTaxiService @LABillsBacker??? -
Tampa runs Buck Sweep on 1st and 10 and catch Buffalo rolling 3 weak. Buffalo is beat at birth right here based on alignment since they have Rousseau lined up in a 7 tech instead of a 9 and their Sam linebacker (Milano) playing a 50 and having to set the edge from depth. Milano's responsibility is to set the edge so he is going to take on the first puller with outside leverage forcing Edmunds to take on the second puller with outside leverage and force the play back inside to the Will/Nickel (Johnson) and Strong Safety (Poyer). Johnson missed the tackle and Poyer got worked by the Left Tackle as the Alley player allowing the touchdown. Edminds fit his gap assignment. Anyone who says he overran the play doesn't understand football and run fit assignments. Flame on haters.... @AlCowlingsTaxiService @LABillsBacker @Rick 'r Mortis

Week 14 Gameday Bills at Buccaneers First Half thread
HoofHearted replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
We’re *****. Teams will play drop 8 against us the rest of the year because they know they can get pressure with 3. Beane needs to figure out how to draft the trenches or we’re doomed. -

Don’t call myself a guru but I do understand football. Most people here don’t understand that defenders have run fits. Everyone yells at players as if they are playing “see ball get ball”. -

At least if I educate you about how football actually works you’ll be a more well informed sorry sack of *****. 🤣 -

Man… really thought Bills fans actually had a better understanding of how football works… the lack of football knowledge around here is comical -

You guys getting mad at edmunds don’t understand football and how run fits work lmfao… -
Yeah, this statement doesn't make much sense buddy. We were playing our base 4-3 personnel grouping with Cover 3 behind it. Technically we had 6 on the LoS. Wallace could be considered a 9 tech, Epinesa a 5, Oliver a tilt 1, Phillips a tilt 3, Rousseau a 6 and Poyer a 9. No one was lost - they just got beat. I also don't know what "they showed no intent to pass the ball means". Are you basing this off of the personnel on the field? The offensive formation? The tendencies they showed so far in the game?
-
Bad fits all around. Wallace can't get widened he needs to replace straight downhill when he see's the crack by the WR. Epenesa can't run himself upfield and instead fight pressure with pressure so he doesn't get washed. Oliver, Phillips, and Rousseau all get reached which allows the guards to work directly up to Termaine and Milano untouched. Dotson needs to work more downhill with his attack steps and meet the FB at the LoS tight off of the WRs butt and actually leverage him. Tremaine and Milano can't get kicked when defeating their blocks (that cut back right into where Milano should be. Ultimately it comes down to Hyde over-running the play though. He's the last line of defense in single high coverages. A perfect storm of nearly everyone not executing their responsibility.

Do you think a 4-3 formation could be a good one ?
HoofHearted replied to Italian Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall
You guys are wild. Defenses have personnel packages - not formations. The offense dictates how you align regardless of the personnel you have on the field so it ultimately would put a lesser athlete in space the majority of the time. Leave the coaching to the coaches fellas. -
High Schools and Colleges have been running this for years - it's funny to me that this is being played off in the NFL as something "new" and "innovative".

Priority #1: Large, angry men for the OL and DL

He's a great gap scheme guard. We are a zone run team. Need guys who can move, work up to a second level, and block in the open field. -

Was referring more to our guard spots. -

Size is nice, but athleticism on the interior of our OL (or lack there of) is what cost us a trip to the Superbowl. An investment into some dominant edge rushers is much needed as well. -
Dude was 100% on his fits in those three clips.

Another Positive Out Of Yesterday - Rush Defense
HoofHearted replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Also the reason why the pass rush wasn't there. Buffalo usually allows their DL to penetrate on any given down. There was a more concerted effort, from what i saw, to keep those guys home this week in order to prevent gaps from widening. I think it came at a cost though.
