I seem to recall THE SLAMMER wanting the Bills to draft Ryan Nassib because he knew Marrone's system.
Must've been all those painkillers you take, House. 😉
I'm just sitting here watching the wheels go 'round and 'round
I really love to watch them roll
No longer riding on the merry-go-round
I just had to let it go
Defenses got away with a lot more in those days. But fans like to see shootouts and good QBs are hard to find, so the rules were changed to favor the offense and to protect the QBs.
He played lights-out in the playoffs last year. The defense choked against the Chiefs.
This year, it was pretty much a team failure (including Josh) in the playoffs.
And no QB can carry a team entirely by himself (see Green Bay), but it's safe to say that Josh carries as much of it as anyone could reasonably expect.
I'm a BBMB transplant. (Same username, same profile pic.) When it disappeared, I looked at several other message boards and liked this one the most, so I signed up. Since moving over here, I've found that TBD has a much better signal-to-noise ratio than BBMB.
There are a lot of reasons why a single-elimination tourney isn't necessarily "fair," but the physical nature of football doesn't lend itself to anything else. I've resigned myself to the fact that the best team in the NFL isn't necessarily the one that wins the Super Bowl.
And as I walk on through troubled times
My spirit gets so downhearted sometimes
So where are the strong, and who are the trusted?
And where is the harmony, sweet harmony?
One, two, three o'clock, four o'clock, rock
Five, six, seven o'clock, eight o'clock, rock
Nine, ten, eleven o'clock, twelve o'clock, rock
We're gonna rock around the clock tonight
