  2. But I should have known From the tattoo on her left leg And the garter on her right She'd have the card to bring me down If she played it right She's got the jack, she's got the jack

  4. And still those voices are calling from far away Wake you up in the middle of the night Just to hear them say
  5. Your love's so incredible Your body so edible You give me an overdose of love Just a little is enough
  6. Win or lose, my contribution was sitting on the couch drinking a Bloody Mary, so I take no credit when the Bills win and I feel no shame when they lose. Don't get me wrong - I'd be elated if the Bills won the Super Bowl, but there are so many more important things happening in the world, and in my life, that I can't let sports affect me that much.
  7. I don't know where I'm going I don't know what I need But I'll get to where I'm gonna end up And that's alright by me
  8. Along the same line: "He's going places. And the sooner he goes, the better." - unknown "Somewhere, a village is missing its idiot." - unknown "I have never killed a man, but I have read many obituaries with great pleasure." - Clarence Darrow "You've got the brain of a four-year-old boy, and I bet he was glad to get rid of it." - Groucho Marx
  9. Thanks. I'm the quintessential generalist: pretty good at a lot of things but not spectacular at any one thing. 🙂
  10. Ciao, Giulio! I'm Tom, 59, Italian-American, originally from western NY state (about 60 miles south of Highmark Stadium.) I'm married and have a son. I'm an engineer, instructional designer, professor emeritus, author, and armchair philosopher. After a stint in the machine tool industry, I found my true calling in higher education, where I was a professor of engineering technology for three decades. I retired from the classroom in 2018; I'm now a freelance writer and editor. My wife is also a writer and our son is a graphic artist. In my spare time, I enjoy reading books, listening to music, being in nature, watching football, and making somewhat recognizable sounds with an acoustic guitar. I've been a Bills fan since Fergie was throwing to Bobby Chandler and OJ was famous, not infamous.
  11. I can't deny it With that smile on her face Oh, it's not the kill It's the thrill of the chase

  13. Another reminder that regardless of money, power, or what uniform someone wears, we're all just people trying to get by in life.
  14. So excuse me forgetting, but these things I do You see, I've forgotten if they're green or they're blue Anyway, the thing is, what I really mean Yours are the sweetest eyes I've ever seen
  15. I can't sleep, and I lay, and I think The night is hot and black as ink Ooh God, I need a drink Of cool, cool rain
  16. Could it be That you and me Would be like penguins jumpin' to see if the water's still cold
  17. I thought the thread title was a metaphor, so I opened it expecting an Earth-shattering announcement from OBD.
  18. I'm guessing they won't allow you to watch on more than one device. I've had Sunday Ticket (the streaming student version) for three years. The first year, I cued up the game on my laptop as a backup and then tried to log in through the FireStick on my TV. It wouldn't let me because I was already logged in on my laptop. Once I logged out there, it let me log in via the FireStick. It's funny how Netflix is just now cracking down on people sharing one account. Seems like they could have implemented the above from day one.
  19. Trying to make some sense of it all But I can see it makes no sense at all Is it cool to go to sleep on the floor? 'Cause I don't think I can take anymore
  20. I watched every Bills game in the Jauron/Edwards era. We now have a GM, HC, and QB who've turned the Bills into perennial contenders, and you think I'm gonna be less-than-enthused about them because the DC who runs a consistent top-5 defense (in spite of a slew of injuries) is coming back? Not a chance. I'm all in, just like I was last season.
  21. I met God this afternoon Riding on an uptown train I said "Don't you have better things to do?" He said "If I do my job, what would you complain about?"
  22. So let me get to the point, Let's roll another joint And turn the radio loud, I'm too alone to be proud
