  1. I watched the world float to the dark side of the moon After all, I knew it had to be something to do with you I really don't mind what happens now and then As long as you'll be my friend at the end
  2. And as I walk on through troubled times My spirit gets so downhearted sometimes So where are the strong, and who are the trusted? And where is the harmony, sweet harmony?
  3. It's been a long time since the book of love I can't count the tears of a life with no love Carry me back, carry me back Carry me back, baby, where I come from, whoa-oh-oh
  4. Lucille (Kenny Rogers) Casey Jones (Grateful Dead) In Memory of Elizabeth Reed (Allman Bros) Jessica (Allman Bros) [Listing the names instead of just linking to a vid would help people use the search function.]
  5. His eyes can see His ears can hear His lips speak All the time the needles flick and rock No machine can give the kind of stimulation Needed to remove his inner block
  6. I saw this earlier and read the article that went with it. It's interesting, but the people who wrote the report didn't share the survey or explain their methodology, which makes me a little suspicious of the data. Don't get me wrong - I know Terry is willing to spend and I'm sure the players know it too, but it's not good when a researcher won't say how they did the research. Surveys can be easy to skew if questions are worded a certain way.

  12. It's cheaper than subscribing to DirecTV and buying NFL-ST, but $350 is still pretty steep for non subscribers. I ditched DTV in 2018. For the past few years, I've used my son's university email address to get the streaming package for $99, which has been nice. He graduated last May, but they auto-renewed without verifying his address, so I got it again last season. This year, I'll look at the schedule and see how many games I'd need it for. If there are just a few, then I might get the NFL+ package and watch recordings of those games after the fact. On the other hand, I can afford it, so I might just bite the bullet and pay up.
  13. The original version of "Sympathy for the Devil" included the line, "I shouted out, 'Who killed John Kennedy?'" The day after the Stones recorded it, Bobby Kennedy was assassinated, so Mick went back to the studio and re-recorded the line to say, "I shouted out, 'Who killed the Kennedys?'"
  14. Stevie Wonder wrote "Superstition" for Jeff Beck to record, as a thank-you for Beck having played on one of Stevie's albums. But the record company insisted that Stevie record it himself. Beck did eventually record a cover of the song. https://www.guitarplayer.com/players/jeff-beck-stevie-wonder
  15. GB should do what's best for GB. They're in full rebuild mode, so if SF makes them the best offer, then they should jump on it.
  16. I guess that answers the question, "Is Dye Hard an Easter movie?" 😉
  17. It's widely believed that "Don't Fear the Reaper" is about a guy talking his girlfriend into a suicide pact, but the guy who wrote it said he was just trying to say that we shouldn't fear death. He had a heart condition and began contemplating the possibility of his own early demise. Realizing that death is inevitable, he wrote the song. And he's still alive.
  18. Mommy's alright, Daddy's alright They just seem a little weird Surrender, surrender But don't give yourself away
