  1. You beat me to it.
  2. It's a great comedy, but a frightening documentary.
  3. Eschew obfuscation.
  4. "If you think you're humble, you're not." - my father But the best ever was from my son when he was about 3. I said goodbye as I was leaving for work one day. I added, "Be a good boy today." He responded, "Bye, Dad. Be a good man today."
  5. I've heard that one at least a million times! ;-)
  6. Cool. Thumbs up to Kelly (and all Big Brothers/Sisters), and to Tyrod.
  7. ... with a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, and wearing sunglasses.
  8. Regular or decovf?
  9. "Too often we enjoy the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought." - John F. Kennedy "I read somewhere that 77 percent of all the mentally ill live in poverty. Actually, I'm more intrigued by the 23 percent who are apparently doing quite well for themselves." - Jerry Garcia
  10. Myth: The only way to become a winner is for the Pegulas to fire everyone who's had any role in the organization during the drought.
  11. http://buffalonews.com/2017/06/14/pearl-street-collision-shop-reverses-racism-heartwarming-gesture/ Someone spray-painted racist messages on a guy's truck. Collision Masters took care of it.
  12. Does he offer a discount? Cuz, you know ... Jesus saves.
  13. It's not a bad way to learn about a new topic, assuming the article has good sources. It's also a decent way to find sources, but it's not a source in itself. There should be a "basic research ability" requirement for elected officials.
  14. Which is more embarrassing: not knowing how to browse in privacy mode or using Wikipedia as a source?
  15. One ostrich couldn't have done it alone. There was a second ostrich behind the grassy knoll.
  16. Agreed. I'd have Fitz in the Useful Stand-in category. Geno goes to the Emergency Only group.
  17. I gained more yards last year than Reggie Bush.
  18. I'm surprised the votes were almost evenly split between Shady and Sammy. If both were living up to their potential, then I could see it, but so far, McCoy is a much bigger part of the offense than Watkins. Hopefully Sammy stays healthy and kicks it up a notch this year.
  19. As an engineer, I used most of what I learned in school, except Calculus. OK, technically I used Calculus concepts with respect to PID control systems, but even then I never had to take a derivative or an integral or solve a differential equation - I just had to know that derivative means instantaneous slope and integral is a summation. I tell my engineering students that algebra and trig only solve 99.99% of the problems; for the rest, you need Calculus.
  20. Too bad that went in the books as an incomplete pass. Ruled on the field (correctly) as a fumble/recovery/TD, it was overturned on replay. Other than that, the play itself was a thing of beauty.
  21. Yes. It's time. Emotionally I was bummed when the Bills cut him, but even then my brain knew it was the right thing to do. The past two seasons have pretty much proven that. I love ya, Freddie, but at this point a mid-round rookie is probably at least as productive and less injury-prone. Walk away - don't limp.
  22. I watch football for football. I couldn't care less who sings the opening theme song.
