  1. I hope you're right, but a lot of Bears, Lions, and Vikings fans thought their misery was over when Favre retired (the first time). I'm not saying Jimmy G is the next Aaron Rodgers, but you never know.
  2. No. He has a ring, but he didn't win it.
  3. If only Rex had inherited a top-five defense ...
  4. Ditto. We're old.
  5. Yeah, now that they have a competent coaching staff.
  6. That's convenient: a cheat-sheet tramp stamp. Put a W on each cheek and you can spell "WOW"
  7. NASCAR: hillbillies turning left all day.
  8. Who would've thought that exposing your genitalia around kids would get "blown out of proportion" like this?
  9. I thought Sunday Ticket was exclusive to DirecTV. Is it a live stream of the game or do you have to wait until the Sunday day games are over?
  10. Can't forget these: Long-Haired Hare Baton Bunny
  11. The Good Samaritan Law doesn't compel someone to help, it just absolves you from liability if you try to help in good faith. For example, I'm CPR certified. If I see someone who needs CPR, I can help them without worrying about them winning a lawsuit against me if, for example, a rib cracks during the process. As long as I'm acting with good intentions and I follow standard CPR guidelines and procedures, I'm protected under the Good Samaritan Law.
  12. I'm glad I'm faithful and not married to a meth-addicted lunatic.
  13. I like the big three: Mozart, Beethoven, and (J.S.) Bach. As a student I liked music in the background while doing homework, but rock is foreground music, so I couldn't concentrate on the work. That's when I started listening to classical as "ambiance" music. Still do. Of course, my first exposure to classical music was from Looney Tunes: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2o5y7d http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2vbbh3
  14. Some of those are pretty dumb. Favre? Yeah, they were mad when he went to Minnesota, but I guess the writer missed Brett Favre Day at Lambeau a couple of Thanksgivings ago. And while TO had issues, he wasn't "a cancer in every locker room he set foot in."
  15. OK, Rice/Moss wasn't a great example, but the point remains - talent only gets you so far. If he turned out to be the QB equivalent of Randy Moss, then sure, I'd take him. Is he at that level, talent-wise? I don't know.
  16. He may be the most talented but talent, by itself, isn't enough to succeed. The question is, does he have the discipline to take it to the next level? Jerry Rice said that Randy Moss had more raw talent than he (Rice) ever had, but Moss didn't work as hard.
  17. I'm more of a binary guy: highly enthusiastic as long as there's any possibility of the playoffs, and mildly enthusiastic after they've been mathematically eliminated.
  18. If they ever reboot The Addams Family, I think they've found their Uncle Fester.
  19. That was great, even though I wasn't offended by Gilmore's tweet.
  20. It's a fact - better teams get more coverage. It's not like he said, "Good to be out of Buffalo ..." or something like that. Non-issue.
