The first season was quirky and unpredictable - two things I like in a TV show. I am looking forward to season 2.

Of course the team record is the bottom line, but to evaluate a coach you need to look at how we got there. Rex inherited a mediocre offense and a top-notch defense. He destroyed the defense and made a slight improvement in the offense. But the team lacked discipline - look at all the dumb penalties and other bonehead plays that occurred under his watch. That team would have floundered indefinitely under Rex. McD has them playing with discipline. Dumb penalties are almost non-existent, the defense is #1 in opponent scoring, and we have a great turnover ratio. Yeah, we still need a decent offense, but overall, the team is playing smart football. This year might be a wash, but the way they're playing suggests that we'll see improvement in the near future. I don't think they'll flounder under McD. Coach of the year? Maybe not. Way better than Rex? Almost certainly so.

On the TD play, I wondered why Tre didn't have safety help behind him. Then I realized that they did it because Tre is our best CB, and with our second best out with an injury, the safeties were needed elsewhere.

He was distracted by the female reporter on the sideline.

That was the best episode so far, even though time travel stories give me a headache.

If he makes that catch, then the Bills fly out of there feeling lucky, but there's no way they could be complacent about the offense after such a dismal performance. In short, if he makes the catch, we'd be a 4-0 team that deserves to be 3-1, and I'm pretty sure McD sees it the same way.

Fitz the Jet didn't play all that great against us; it was Rex's crappy defense that made him look good.

There was a point when the Raiders had a 3rd and less than five with EJ in there. I really expected the hard count, but they didn't do it.

The ball clearly came loose before the arm moved forward. The only question was whether he regained control before flinging it forward. It was close, but the evidence wasn't conclusive enough to overturn the ruling on the field.
