  1. I'm guessing these guys voted no:
  2. I don't have a specific memory, but as a kid I played sandlot football in the snow all the time. Total chaotic fun!
  3. I like snow games - a taste of old-school football. Would have been better if they were wearing throwbacks instead of the "color rush" red.
  4. As far as NFL games go, this one wasn't a thriller until late in the 4th. But for me, it was extra fun to watch because it reminded me of playing sandlot football in the snow when I was a kid.
  5. I'm happy with the W, but at least two coaching decisions left me scratching my head. 1. About a minute to go, blizzard conditions, deep in your own territory, tie game. Not the time to let the 3rd string QB throw. Go conservative and play for OT. 2. In OT, 4 minutes to go, at the opponent's 41, 4th and 1. That's when you play aggressively. Otherwise, you're basically playing for a tie, which is about the same as a loss in terms of WC hopes. I know it worked out in the end, but I'm not thrilled with the path to victory. I hope McD is a good student and learns from the game.
  6. Joseph had a nice camera-phone. I wonder what filter he used to get that "painting" effect.
  7. I don't think he'll run for that many yards. ;-)
  8. When I lived in WNY and had a rear-wheel drive car, I put snow tires on in the winter. Now I live in the Midwest, where it's much colder but less snowy, and I have a front-wheel drive car, so all-season tires work fine. Even when we get significant snowfalls (or when we visit WNY in the winter), the all-seasons and FWD do the job.
  9. I'm as horny as the next guy, but I don't think sexual thoughts when I see a woman breastfeeding. Maybe if we taught our sons how to respect women instead of telling women to "cover up," we wouldn't be so uptight about a normal and natural action in public.
  10. A buddy just turned me on to this band:
  11. "What America needs now is a drink." - President Franklin D. Roosevelt
  12. Agreed. Not a fan of the color rush - especially solid red. I keep expecting the Spanish Inquisition. ;-)
  13. If he had any honor and integrity, we wouldn't call him "Belicheat."
  14. Nay on egg nog, but if you've gotta drink it ... add whiskey, not rum.
  15. The Bills suck in prime time - they're the new "Not Ready for Prime Time Players."
  16. One thing I like about jam bands is the spontaneity. I prefer not to know the setlist in advance.
  17. They probably matriculated when they were in college.
  18. I had the same feeling. I was shocked when he signed with the Bills.
  19. I remember when I was young and my parents switched from real to artificial - I hated that plastic tree. We get a real tree because I like the outdoor scent of a tree in the winter. When my kid was young, we'd go to a tree farm and cut our own. That's pricey, so now that he's older, we just buy one from the grocery store parking lot.
  20. I started reading the BBMB in the early 2000s, mainly because I don't get a lot of Bills news in the Midwest. I joined around 2006, and only had one infraction: I posted a link to an Onion article (Bills related) that had the F word in it. The mod was cool about it and I never had any other problems, but then again, I make it a point not to insult people who I disagree with. Attack the idea, not the person. When the BBMB abruptly shut down, I found three other Bills boards. TBD looked like the highest quality, both in content and usability, so I signed up. I'm glad I did.
  21. Seeing how the Packers defense has been playing this year, I'm guessing Ted regrets that decision.
  22. That was the hit that launched the Brady era, which affected the entire NFL. Nate's hit on Brady was fun to watch, but it had no far-reaching or long-term implications.
  23. Unfortunately, the hit heard 'round the world was the one Mo Lewis laid on Bledsoe back in 2001.
