  1. "Talking Proud" - bleh "Shout" is still good. About ten years ago I was at my nephew's wedding reception in Rochester. The DJ played the original "Shout" and people were singing the Bills version over the top of it.
  2. If you think you can make something idiot-proof, you have severely underestimated the tenacity of an idiot. The best you can hope for is idiot-resistant.
  3. Aaron should go talk to Ryan Shazier.
  4. They deserve it. Bon Jovi, on the other hand ...
  5. "Hold my beer and watch thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiisssssssss!"
  6. Excellent! Thanks for posting. I love the baby pic. Pencil in a beard, and he looks the same today. :-)
  7. In a QB-driven league, someone out there sees Tyrod as a QB who could potentially succeed in the right scheme. But given the uncertainty of that, plus the fact that he's only under contract for one more year, PLUS the fact that if the Bills want to move in another direction then they're likely to cut him in the offseason, I don't see anyone giving us more than a late-round pick - maybe a 5th if we're lucky.
  8. I don't know if this is true for all retractable roofs (and I just did a Google search and couldn't find anything), but Toronto's roof can't be opened and closed during the winter months. The cold temperatures mess with the mechanical systems, so once it's closed for the winter, it stays closed until late spring. The laws of physics supersede NFL rules.
  9. And if that happens, I'm buying a lottery ticket.
  10. I'd tweak it a little to allow penalties to be reviewed. It doesn't slow down the game, because you still only get 2 challenges, and a 3rd if you win both.
  11. Cutler fans all know Every pick begins with Jay. Tre White licks his chops.
  12. Many left early, but about 60k bought tickets and went to the game. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxscores/201712100buf.htm
  13. Yeah - the jokes are getting a little cheesy.
  14. He was just trying to stay warm. :-)
  15. Agreed. In either case, the Bills need help from other teams. Yesterday's W (as opposed to a tie) means we need less help.
  16. I agree with your probabilities, but I disagree that a tie is a positive outcome under the circumstances. If that game ended in a tie, the Bills would most likely have to win out - including beating NE in Foxboro - to make the playoffs. In that case, McD should have played for the win instead of playing not-to-lose. It worked out okay in the end, but I disagree with the call. Now we have to go 2-1 to have a good chance at the postseason. The one questionable play call that nobody seems to be talking about is the pass play with about a minute in regulation. We're in our own territory with the 3rd-string QB in a blizzard. That's the time to be conservative - run the ball and play for OT.
  17. If it were a "mute point" I'd have stayed silent about it. I like how you synthesized that joke.
  18. Because Darth Hoodious controls the weather.
  19. I don't know the answer to that question, but it's a moot point, since it happened at the goal line and the LOS was the 2 1/2.
  20. I agree that they're likely one-and-done if they make the playoffs, but at least it would serve as a milestone that says, "Yes, we ARE a playoff-caliber team." To do that in McD's first year would help the players buy into "The Process" and could entice some of the better free agents to come to Buffalo in the off-season.
  21. One could argue that the officials just wanted to get the game over and get out of the cold, but if that were the case, they wouldn't have flagged the OPI on the 2-point conversion. Anyone catch Tasker during the pregame? He said the game would be entirely on the ground and over in about an hour and a half. Ha! "I was told there would be no math in this job."
  22. I get your point and to an extent, I agree. I wouldn't want every game to look like this, but for as often as it happens (which isn't a lot), it's an interesting twist.
  23. Without the weather, everything changes. Shady gets more yards. Nate completes more passes (maybe). The whole game dynamic is different in this weather, not just a couple of FG attempts.
