  1. I agree about keeping Foster and releasing most of the other WRs, but although Zay Jones has been inconsistent, he's demonstrated enough to get another year. It's too early to give up on him.
  2. Playoffs or not, if the Browns win another game this season, I think they'll give Gregg the HC position. That, of course, would be a mistake, but we are talking about the Browns.
  3. Good post, Virgil. Regarding Tre White, he does seem to be in a bit of a slump, but Detroit's receivers made some really great catches. I don't think Stafford's accuracy was better than Allen's today; the difference in completion percentages was largely on the receivers.
  4. Post Mortem?
  5. ... says someone who's never taught.
  6. I didn't read the obit, but I really hope there weren't any typos in it.
  7. A standard recipe from the Department of Redundancy Department. Here's one of my favorites: Avocado on whole wheat toast with a slice of cheese, topped with Sriracha mayo. When they're in season, throw on a slice of garden-fresh beefsteak tomato.
  8. As a kid, I ate bologna-and-jelly sandwiches. I don't know what compelled me to make one in the first place, but for some reason I liked the combo. I probably stopped eating them when I decided against a life of celibacy. (Either that or I just realized that they're gross and I was only eating them because it raised eyebrows.) Today, I like PB&Js, and if we have a bag of tortilla chips that are down to the crumbs, I'll sprinkle in a layer of those. They add a nice texture, and the saltiness enhances the flavor of the PB while it complements the sweetness of the jam. My wife thinks it's a little weird, but so far, so good in the no-celibacy department. ?
  9. Hey, JP won a championship in that new league.
  10. We won two games in Detroit that year.
  11. Maybe it's different with the Rooney kids running the show, but the Steelers tend to keep their HC through thick and thin. There were times when I thought Cowher would get the axe, but the front office stood by him and their patience eventually paid off when he brought in "one for the thumb."
  12. Ralph Wilson was once a part-owner of the Lions.
  13. Also the worst uniforms of the year.
  14. He probably didn't know the pass was complete at that moment. If it's incomplete and he smacks Darnold, it gives them an automatic first down.
  15. Can't have too many good LTs, either. On the other hand, we really need receivers. Seriously.
  16. ... need all the points they can get. ?
  17. Look at the hits he's taking when he runs. Then look at the hits he takes while standing in the pocket. Until we get a competent o-line, he's safer on the run.
  18. I can see both sides of the argument, but my instinct is to take the TO instead of the penalty. Saving the TO assumes that you'll need it, but there's a chance that you won't. There's never a time when you don't need points, unless the game is so out of hand that it doesn't matter, in which case the TO is also irrelevant. Anyone catch the announcer saying, "Allen called a time-out. He got to the line and saw something he didn't like." Yeah, he saw the play clock approaching zero.
  19. Well, I've never seen them in the same room together ...
  20. Will Buffalo Have a 1,000 Yard Rusher in 2019
  21. The thread title says it all: It's just a few games.
  22. Offense. Line not blocking, receivers dropping good passes, Allen making rookie mistakes (largely due to putting the entire offense on his shoulders, not a knock on him). Yeah, ST sucked, but a semi-competent offense would have won the game anyway.
  23. We probably win one out of the three. I'd give 50/50 odds against both the Lions and the Dolphins. Chances of beating NE in Foxboro when they're fighting for a good playoff seed are ... C'mon, man.
