  1. Why doesn't he get more Ex-Bill love around here? 😉
  2. What goes up must come down Spinning Wheel got to go around Talking about your troubles it's a crying sin Ride a painted pony let the Spinning Wheel spin
  3. Hey Judy, get Trudy You said to call you up if I was feeling moody Hey little Donna, still wanna? You said to ring you up when I was in Toronto
  4. When I was working on my dissertation, my son came into my office and noticed the title of one of the papers I was reading. He said, "I see you're studying a foreign language." Sometimes it felt that way.
  5. Several years ago, one of my colleagues interviewed for a professor's position at Purdue University. (He and I taught at a community college, and he had a side gig as an engineer because he was a workaholic.) The interviewer asked him about publications and he mentioned the textbook he'd written. Unfazed, the interviewer responded, "So that's just the one textbook?" Then he asked about any other honors of note and my friend said, "I have a patent in my name." Predictably, the interviewer followed up with, "So that's just the one patent?" Sheesh. 🙂
  6. I remember seeing King and His Court when I was a kid. When he pitched between his legs, he said to the crowd, "I have to be really careful with that pitch or I might hurt my ... knee. One time I hurt my knee so bad that I couldn't breathe."
  7. Sounded like the Twelfth Man was mic'd up.
  8. I'm proud of my CV as it stands, but I also recognize that MIT professors and their ilk are in a totally different league, so I try not to compare myself to them.
  9. Everyone thought his name was funny. Nobody made fun of him for it. (At least not twice.)
  10. That's exactly the phrase I was thinking of. Whether it was the right decision is irrelevant - it was a "business decision" and not a "legends of the game" decision.
  11. I'm sure that's comforting to Tua and Sam Howell.
  12. Oh, but if you feel like lovin' me If you got the notion I second that emotion Said, if you feel like giving me a lifetime of devotion I second that emotion
  13. Wake-n-bake is still a thing, huh?
  14. It's tasteless. And your use of the term "Billsy" isn't accurate. To lose a game in a Billsy fashion means to screw up in an almost comical way. In fact, it would be comical if it wasn't our team. There's nothing comical, from anyone's perspective, about what you described. Seriously, many of us have posted and nobody is defending you on this. This isn't the time to double down.
  15. It's a morbid thought that gave many of us bad vibes. As others have said, just because it pops into your head, doesn't mean you have to share it.
  16. Overrated. It's better to fly with a pilot who knows how to operate the stick.
  17. Seems like the last two wildcard games at Highmark were pretty loud.
