Brown-eyed women and red grenadine,
The bottle was dusty but the liquor was clean.
Sound of the thunder with the rain pouring down,
And it looks like the old man's getting on.
Agreed. I often learn something when he's calling the game.
On a related note, last week I saw an Onion headline that said something like, "Tony Romo suddenly realizes that his ability to read defenses would have come in handy when he was a QB." ?
I'll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
And I'll get on my knees and pray
We don't get fooled again
Hello! my Baby,
Hello! my honey,
Hello! my ragtime gal,
Send me a kiss by wire,
Baby, my heart's on fire!
If you refuse me,
Honey, you'll lose me,
Then you'll be left alone,
Oh baby, telephone
And tell me I'm your own!
She picked him up all in her arms and carried him to town
She sent for a physician who quickly healed his wounds
Oh who quickly healed his wounds
This couple they got married, so well they did agree
This couple they got married, so why not you and me
Oh why not you and me
We could jam in Joe's Garage
His mama was screamin'
His dad was mad
We was playin' the same old song
In the afternoon 'n sometimes we would
Play it all night long
It was all we knew, 'n easy too
So we wouldn't get it wrong
All we did was bend the string like...
I don't know what to say about it, When all you ears have turned away, But now's the time to look and look again at what you see, Is that the way it ought to stay? That's the way That's the way it oughtta be Oh don't you know now Mama said, mama said, that's the way it's gonna stay, yeah
Firefox is my go-to for most things, but Chrome seems to work better for Google-specific stuff (calendar, Gmail, docs, etc.) Go figure.
The only use for Internet Explorer or Edge is to go to the Mozilla page and download Firefox when setting up a new computer. ?
"Take me to another place", she said
"Take me to another time
Run with me across the oceans
Float me on a silver cloud"
If I could I would, but I don't know how
If I could I would, but I don't know how
If I could I would and I'd take you now
I've got a blue-and-red Adidas bag and a humongous binder
I'm trying my best not to look like a minor niner
I went out for the football team to prove that I'm a man
Guess I shouldn't tell them that I like Duran Duran
This is me in grade nine, baby, yeah, this is me in grade nine (this is me in grade nine)
This is me in grade nine, baby, this is me in grade nine
Invisible airwaves
Crackle with life
Bright antennae bristle
With the energy
Emotional feedback
On a timeless wavelength
Bearing a gift beyond price
Almost free
I took my son to see them on the Clockwork Angels tour in 2013. Although they mostly played material from the mid-80s and later - which is around the time I stopped paying attention to them - we still enjoyed the show. The 2112 Overture/Temples of Syrinx combo made a great encore. My son (around 18 at the time) said, "The encore by itself was worth the price of the ticket." Easy for him to say - I bought the tickets!
Glad I got to see Rush when I had the chance.
At least Neil lived to see the band get inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. (Although I'm guessing it didn't matter much to him - he wasn't into the whole fame thing.)
