    ^ This. Knowing that the Jets have a great run-D, the game plan was not to run a lot - to exploit the opponent's weaknesses, not play to their strengths. For all the complaints about McD and Daboll being conservative, where's the love for a game plan that featured the QB? (And going for it on 4th-and-1 from midfield.)

    A little sloppy at times, and Josh needs to protect the ball (although both fumbles were great defensive plays), but overall, not a bad way to shake the rust off. Good thing it was the Jets.

    Indeed. My brother-in-law has relatives who lost their house and virtually all their possessions to the CA wildfires a few weeks ago. They just happened to be away from home for the day when it happened, pretty much without warning. Had they been home, it's possible that they wouldn't have made it out.
