  1. I sat on the roof, and kicked off the moss Well a few of the verses, well they've got me quite cross But the sun's been quite kind While I wrote this song It's for people like you that keep it turned on
  2. Superman, Superman Wish I could fly like Superman Superman, Superman I want to be like Superman
  3. One of my favorite sandwiches is avocado and cheese with Sriracha and mayo on lightly toasted whole wheat bread. Add a slice of a fresh garden tomato when they're in season.
  4. But when I woke up, Mom and Dad Are rolling on the couch Rolling numbers, rock and rollin' Got my KISS records out
  5. My son once said about a movie, "I went in with low expectations and was still disappointed." I forgot which movie that was.
  6. That reminds me of a time when we were on an interstate on-ramp and the car in the right lane refused to move over, even though there was nobody in the left lane nearby. I had to brake to get in behind her, and that's when we noticed a WWJD sticker on the back. My wife muttered, "Jesus would have let us merge, you b****."
  7. Did anyone think the umpteenth sequel of a slasher flick would be good?
  8. I'll bet Don Rickles had the same thought when he met Rosey Grier.
  9. The turning point for me was the failed 4th down attempt on the last drive. Prior to that, I was reasonably confident that we could still get a win. That's a nice feeling, even though it's occasionally squashed.
  10. The penalty on the last kickoff cost us the game, but it was blatant holding - can't blame the ref for throwing the flag. Guys do it because there's a chance that they'll get away with it. Sometimes they do, but the decision to hold on that play was absolutely the wrong decision at that moment. The penalty cost us 10 yards on a drive that was 2 yards from being successful. The hold occurred at the 28. If he doesn't hold and McK gets tackled near the 30, that's not bad field position with 3 minutes left on the clock. I'm sure he was seeing green downfield and figured he'd try to spring him for a TD, but would a quick TD be good with so much time left and the way the Titans were killing our defense? Before I saw the flag, I was thinking "We scored too fast and left too much time on the clock." Special Teams needs to hold some situational awareness drills next week.
  11. Good post, Shaw. Clearly, the Bills beat themselves. They are the better team - just not last night. One point about the 4th-and-1 play call: McD said Josh made the decision to change from whatever play Daboll called and sneak it instead. They gave him the authority to do so.
  12. One of them said "Not quite the Music City Miracle" or something to that effect.
  13. Actually, he can. But as you said, he's human, so he doesn't always do what he's capable of doing.
  14. When a guy who's been down on his luck for 20 years finally gets a good job and turns his life around, is he spoiled? When Josh has a hand full of SB rings, maybe I'll feel spoiled. For now, I'm just enjoying the ride.
  15. Agreed. Just like the Bills wanted revenge against the Titans, but the Titans were a bad match-up. I don't fear the Ravens at all.
  16. Normally, yes, since we have less time before the next game. But that's of little comfort when the meltdown occurs just before a bye.
  17. I hope that's true, but our two losses so far could bite us in the @$$ on head-to-head tie-breakers.
  18. In that case, I'm good with the play call being "Let Josh decide" and I'm good with his decision. If he hadn't slipped, I could see him bouncing off and finding another hole, like he did against the Cowboys on Thanksgiving in 2019.
  19. Could have been the whiskey Might have been the gin Could have been the three or four six-packs I don't know, but look at the state I'm in
  20. The Not Ready for Prime Time Players. $#!+ - already been used.
  21. I'm good with the decision to go for it and I'm even okay with the play call. Remember in the Steelers game when they tried to get cute on a 4th and short? The right call then would have been a QB sneak, which Josh makes way more often than not, and that was, statistically, the right call last night. As for kicking the FG and playing for OT, it comes down to a coin toss. Our D, which was gashed all night, was tired, so I could see them giving up a TD on the first drive if TN wins the toss. On the other hand, if the Bills win the toss, given our lack of red zone success last night, they may have only gotten a FG. Raw analytics say go for it, and the overall team performance last night reinforced that.
  22. I see one or two more losses coming: TB (likely) and one more heart-breaker like last night. 14-3 or 13-4, maybe a #2 seed.
  23. For those of us who don't follow college football, what do they do differently than the NFL?
