  1. Draconator's profile pic is actually a selfie, but he can't figure out how to turn off the cat filter on his phone.
  2. And he's likely to be in quite a few playoff games.
  3. Hopefully, most of that will come one point at a time.
  4. Bass's leg = Josh's arm: strong and accurate.
  5. Contrast that to the Tua 3rd down run when he dove prior to reaching the first down marker. As soon as he dove, I thought, "Josh would have made the first down and added a couple of yards for good measure." A while later, he did!
  6. Everybody's got something to hide Except for me and my monkey
  7. Injury or not, I didn't think he'd be able to carry them deep into the playoffs. They could still make the playoffs thanks to being in a weak division, but without him, they're one-and-done.
  8. No. There's still a 50% chance, regardless of whether you missed it the first time. It's like a coin toss - if it comes up heads 4 times in a row, there's not a higher probability of it coming up tails on the next one.
  9. Let me flow into the ocean Let me get back to the sea Let me be stormy and let me be calm Let the tide in, and set me free
  10. It's not a fear as much as a distaste. I prefer not to watch any game that Brady plays in, because I'm tired of listening to announcers riding his jock throughout the game. Put him in another Super Bowl and the effect is amplified.
  11. Almost cut my hair It happened just the other day It's gettin' kinda long I coulda said it was in my way But I didn't and I wonder why I feel like letting my freak flag fly
  12. Knowledge is knowing that Frankenstein wasn't the monster. Wisdom is knowing that Frankenstein was the monster.
  13. Tired of lying in the sunshine, staying home to watch the rain You are young and life is long, and there is time to kill today And then one day you find ten years have got behind you No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
  14. Jamestown used to have a mom-n-pop Italian restaurant called "House of Pizza." My favorites were the pizza subs and the meatball subs. Other than the ones my mom made, they were the best.
  15. Everybody calls me the quiet one You can see but you can't hear me Everybody calls me the quiet one You can try but you can't get near me
  16. With Josh's arm, it's more like giving up one-fourth of the field.
  17. You're right - my mistake. The meat of the OP was more about a player's first couple of years, and that's the part I remembered when I was posting, but looking again I see more references to day 1 and camps at the beginning and end.
  18. Not necessarily. GMs evaluate college players, not rookies. College success doesn't always translate to NFL success. The OP was about knowing whether rookies have it.
  19. Love and hope and sex and dreams Are still surviving on the street Look at me, I'm in tatters! I'm-a-shattered Shattered
  20. Well, if we're going back to childhood, I used to eat baloney and jelly sandwiches. In college I'd sometimes make fried baloney sandwiches (with cheese, but no jelly), because baloney was a cheap source of meat. Today, I wouldn't eat anything with baloney in it.
  21. I think of it like the dating scene. It may take a few years to decide that she's "The One," but probably just a few dates to figure out that she's not.
  22. What we got was a square peg in a round hole. Rex took a top-five defense and tried to mold it into his scheme. But he lacked the personnel to run that scheme. It's almost exactly how Gregg Williams took a top-five 3-4 defense and tried to mold it into his 4-3 scheme. You need to adapt the scheme to the players, not the other way around, but both Gregg and Rex were too arrogant to do that.
  23. Agreed, but the Bills didn't trade a draft pick for Anderson or Barkley. There are veteran QBs on the open market that they could have gotten without spending draft capital. Someone mentioned Cam Newton already. I know his arm is shot, but Flacco's recent record isn't great either. They're not going to salvage the season anyway, they just want a vet for the rookie to learn from.
  24. ... and then they rectified the situation. I'm not sure the Jets have that ability right now. Flacco isn't the answer, though.
