  1. I watch a lot of Packer games and I loved Micah from the start. I was blown away that GB didn't offer him a contract when his rookie contract expired, but as soon as that happened, I was thinking, "Bills - go get him!" I was ecstatic when they did.
  2. He literally stole what rightfully should have been a perfect touchdown pass. Besides being a great play, the timing set the tone for the rest of the game: We score, you don't.
  3. Besides seven for seven on drives, Josh was 21/25 - an 84% completion ratio. Not bad for an inaccurate passer who can't play in cold weather. 🙂
  4. I'm guessing you wrote that tongue-in-cheek, but it's really a great idea! Could offset some of the costs.
  5. Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day Fritter and waste the hours in an offhand way Kicking around on a piece of ground in your hometown Waiting for someone or something to show you the way
  6. Before the pay-at-the-pump days, the station I went to regularly allowed pump and then pay inside. One day, I filled my tank and then drove off. I got a few blocks away when it occurred to me that I had forgotten to pay. I went back and told the attendant. He hadn't noticed, but he did thank me for being honest and coming back to pay.
  7. I'm on the fence. On one hand, he deserves some credit for helping Josh develop. On the other hand, his play calling is somewhat questionable, so it may be time for a fresh perspective. I'm leaning towards the latter, but I'll accept either outcome.
  8. True, but he was still establishing himself at that time. He's now a prime HC candidate currently working for his hometown team, so he'll probably choose carefully rather than taking the first offer. Plus, the Dolphins are a train wreck of an organization. I know - so are the Bears. And so are most of the teams currently looking for a HC, but some situations are more favorable than others. With the Fins, the division rivalry is just another checkmark in the "cons" column, but it's certainly not the only one.
  9. I hear the train a comin', it's rolling 'round the bend And I ain't seen the sunshine since I don't know when
  10. I agree, it seems pretty high. I'm just speculating about the reason. And from what I've read, the roof was the biggest chunk of the CD reno, so most of that $118M went to the roof. So that, along with the previously cited factors, accounts for most of the difference.
  11. The Carrier Dome's capacity is about 50k, vs 65k for the proposed stadium. The dome was also renovated before Covid and the ensuing higher construction costs.
  12. Funny, given your screen name, that you mention velociraptors and Jurassic Park. The animals depicted in the movie are actually Utahraptors, not velociraptors. https://eastern.usu.edu/museum/exhibits/utahraptor
  13. It makes sense for the Fins, but Daboll is a lifelong Bills fan, so he may not want to go to a division rival. Given a choice between the Bears, where he'd only face the Bills once every 4 years, or the Fins, where he'd face the Bills twice every year, he'd probably pick the Bears. (And from an organizational standpoint, both teams are inept with questionable QB situations, so it's a wash.)
  14. James Dean James Dean You bought it sight unseen You were too fast to live Too young to die, bye bye
  15. Strangers stopping strangers just to shake their hand Everybody's playing in the Heart of Gold Band
  16. It was more recent. Dustin Hopkins was the FG kicker and the kickoff specialist was Carpenter. Hopkins is still playing for the Chargers.
  17. Thanks for the post, Virg. Regarding Daboll and Frazier, I agree that I'd rather have them undistracted this week. But that made me think - if I were in either of their positions, I wouldn't prep for the interview at all. I'd walk in and let them know that as long as I'm under contract in Buffalo, my sole responsibility is to the Bills, so today I'll discuss general philosophies and how I can customize those according to the players' strengths and weaknesses - the details will be dependent on the personnel. My only prep is to dig up a few examples of game plans and adjustments that were successful. That shows that I'm loyal, 100% dedicated, and willing to adapt to the conditions, and it allows me to focus on the game at hand.
