  2. When I drive that slow, you know it's hard to steer. And I can't get my car out of second gear.
  3. Down with disease And I'm up before the dawn A thousand barefoot children outside Dancing on my lawn Dancing on my lawn, and I keep Waiting for the time when I can finally say This has all been wonderful but now I'm on my way

  7. I have a handful of friends from my undergrad years who I stay in touch with, but nobody from grad school. I lived on campus for my master's, but between a full load of classes and a teaching assistantship, I didn't have much time for a social life. For my doctorate, I had a full-time job and commuted to classes (an hour away), so again, no campus social life.

  11. Jenny said, when she was just five years old There was nothin' happenin' at all Every time she puts on a radio There was a nothin' goin' down at all, not at all Then one fine mornin' she puts on a New York station You know, she don't believe what she heard at all She started shakin' to that fine, fine music You know her life was saved by rock 'n' roll
  12. What crazy stuff She looked so tough I had to follow her all the way home Then things went bad I met her dad He said, "You better leave my daughter alone"
  13. The place is really jumping to the Hiwatt amps 'Til a twenty inch cymbal fell and cut the lamps In the blackout they danced right into the aisle And as the doors fly open even the promoter smiles Someone takes his pants off and the rafters knock Rock is dead they say Long live rock
  14. True, but sports fandom is about emotion, and that was the point of this thread before it got derailed and turned into a discussion about the criminal justice system. Watson won't go to jail because a bunch of Browns fans decided not to support their team over this.
  15. 'Cause I'm a picker I'm a grinner I'm a lover And I'm a sinner I play my music in the sun I'm a joker I'm a smoker I'm a midnight toker I sure don't want to hurt no one
  16. A long, long time ago I can still remember how that music used to make me smile And I knew if I had my chance that I could make those people dance And maybe they'd be happy for a while
  17. Not to get political, but Texas isn't exactly known for treating women well.
  18. Later in the evening As you lie awake in bed With the echoes from the amplifiers Ringin' in your head You smoke the day's last cigarette Rememberin' what she said
  19. I don't see why the Browns refuse to trade him. In a year, he'll be a FA and will most likely leave anyway. Why not get something in return for him?
  20. Dawn is breaking everywhere Light a candle, curse the glare Draw the curtains, I don't care 'Cause it's alright
