  1. He made Darnold look good before he injured his shoulder again.
  2. What percentage of head coaches and GMs are minorities? Agree with the rule or not, it has led to some coaches and executives getting their names out there, and getting jobs down the line. I interviewed hundreds of people for promotions in a previous career, and occasionally the person you thought was the probably best fit before you started, definitely isn't once you sit down and meet with everyone. It's a good learning experience for the interviewer, and you tend to get more perspectives when you interview from a diverse pool of candidates, as long as they take the process seriously. Look at the Bills with Dorsey. Yes, he was an internal promotion. But they still interviewed other people, and had a backup plan if he decided to follow Daboll to the Giants. The problem comes if/when the entire thing is just a sham.
  3. Or Rex Ryan in Buffalo He might be in prison until after his career would have been over
  4. Probably why he's drafted so many hosts recently. Forgot to select all columns when sorting his excel spreadsheet of prospects. Lol
  5. You've never had a meeting like that before? I have, and it feels pretty awful when you put your heart and soul into going for a position and the people you're meeting with were drunk/high/hung over, then pass over you.
  6. I wouldn't be surprised if the Bucs are calling him asking what it would take to get one more year from him. He originally wanted to play until he was 45. That's only one more season
  7. He did an interview before the season and said Buffalo met with him and he seriously considered it
  8. Going for it vs the Titans was the right decision. Running behind the left side of the line was the issue. Josh has like a 90% success rate on 3rd and 4th and short in the red zone as long as he rolls out. The sneak to the Titans best DL player was the wrong call
  9. The whole calling the defensive TO screwed the team. Make them run a play without calling a TO just to get back in the same exact formation. It's harder to adjust on the fly for the O without giving them extra time.
  10. If it was thought about then why not just do it?
  11. Sean Payton if he leaves the Saints?
  12. Tre White if healthy should have been a lock.
  13. He’s right. McDermott is Doug Collins, got the team to win 1-2 playoff games, but can’t get over the hump. Josh needs his Phil Jackson. Omg you made the point I just replied with. That’ll teach me to respond to the OP before reading the whole thread. But you’re exactly right and I said this in the fire McDermott thread in early December.
  14. Gabe Davis says hi. Oliver was about the only DL that did anything, so can’t fault him. Spencer Brown has been good. Bass too. Rousseau will be fine. Epenesa is a yikes to me.
  15. The defensive TOS in that situation always backfire on McD. But he keeps taking them anyway.
  16. Agree on Epenesa. Rousseau made some plays this year though
  17. I almost wish they went for 2 with 13 secs left to try for a 4 point lead
  18. They should have just held onto both hill and Kelce at the snap. 5 yard penalty or 15 yards still burns clock. At least would prevent them from getting into FG range
