Brett Favre suing Shannon Sharpe and Pat McAfee🤣
jlgarsh replied to Dablitzkrieg's topic in The Stadium Wall
He was sentenced to 90 years in prison, and has to serve at least 32. This has nothing to do with media spin etc. One last thing: you're confusing federal and state court. He was charged in both: Hours after pleading guilty in federal court, Davis appeared in state court and pleaded guilty to five counts of conspiracy and 13 counts of fraud against the government. Hinds County Circuit Judge Adrienne Wooten gave Davis a 90-year sentence with 58 of those suspended and 32 to serve. She put him on house arrest until his federal sentencing. -

The entire state of Mississippi only had 4,400 or so welfare recipients at the time, and it's one of the 3 poorest states in the country. Just throwing it out there, but most likely there's a waiting list to get assistance. Surely some of the $70,000,000 total siphoned should probably have gone to help poor people instead of Favre. -

Text messages came out with Favre saying "and you're sure no one will find out where the money came from?" Has he been convicted yet? No, but he clearly did it. -
Joe Buscaglia’s Early Thoughts on the Bills Needs Going Into 2023
jlgarsh replied to JohnNord's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think Beasley will be back on a cheap deal. He played well in the playoffs...was actually consistently getting open vs. Cincinnati but Josh had trouble hitting him. He had a 29 yard screen catch and run that may have been the best screen catch all season. By all means, get another WR. But I'd rather bring Beasley to camp and see if he can be an upgrade from McKenzie. Just my thoughts. Getting a 2nd TE would be great as well. Gronk would be ideal,,if willing to come out of retirement. If not, maybe Michael Mayer from ND? Not sure where he'll go, but should be a 1st rounder. They need someone who can catch and block. -
Didn't he just get arrested?

Anyone else on the John Michael Schmitz bandwagon?

Josh Allen had a great Senior Bowl, didn't he? I remember watching and he looked legit. -
Josh = Phil Rivers (just messenger)

Agree except that Norv Turner was also an offensive minded coach -
He was the system, not Bill B

Perhaps Kromer is overrated as an OLine coach?

Bates was better at LG -
I think Bruce Arians is the best coach who may be available. Read last week he may be looking to leave the Tampa FO and see what options were available. He led the Colts to the playoffs with Pagano out, had success in AZ, and won in Tampa (with Brady, but when Bowles took over the team went downhill). But that's just my 2 cents.

It’s obvious what ails the Bills, they’re softer than custard.

I don't think this would fly with HR these days 😅 -

Convince Gronk to come out of retirement & use 2 TE 3WR or 2TE, 2WR, 1 RB sets. Can't double cover both Gronk & Diggs. Keep Bease, give Shakir more reps, and use 1st 2 draft picks on OL (just my thoughts). Need Dorsey to actually design plays for TEs in this scenario though. If that doesn't happen, need to get another WR who's reliable. -
Buscaglia: Both Bills Coordinators are likely to be back in 2023

Bates was good at LG & C but when we signed Saffold he moved to RG. I think that may have thrown Dawkins & Morse off maybe? Just thinking out loud though -

I was. Remember you posting there! I thought it was cool when Chris Brown used to interact with fans there SaviorEdwards wasn't it? She's on twitter -
With their drafting track record outside of Josh and Groot, what makes anyone think the Bills would have picked Jefferson, let alone played him? McDermott barely plays most rookies.
-
Bates was the only OL who showed up on a bunch of plays
-
He didn’t blast anyone on Twitter. The media was making a huge deal about it. It was nice seeing someone fired up. I don’t blame him for being upset. He wears his heart on his sleeve. I’d rather he show some fire than look like a zombie.

Where's the option for all the coaches? I'm willing to give Beane a shot to pick his own HC, since he came here after McD came on board. But we need a new scouting/drafting department too.
-
Also, I do think they should re-sign Beasley. He was getting open all game yesterday.
-
What about seeing if Arians wants to come back to coaching? He was good in AZ & Tampa. I know he's in their FO in Tampa, but you never know. Trying to think who else is available and not out of the game for too long.
