Oh yea agree 100% it was why I was annoyed with our fans coming in thinking it would be some cakewalk, they were no joke. -

The Titans are very good talented team but their team is focused a certain way. Their two losses in the playoffs the last two years happened when the Chiefs offense got going and Henry was held in check long enough to make the lead untouchable. The loss to the Ravens was a team who could match their style and physicality. Buffalo can do what the Chiefs did and were basically a 4th down stop/FG turned into TD from doing so. I think that is what is kinda their undoing is the fact they have certain brand and if it doesn't work it stymies them. -

Anyone Have This Frustration With The Titans Game

I'll say this in defense of the defense. They had a game against the Chiefs the week earlier where they played lights out in an incredibly emotional hard way. The second half I honestly thought having a second night game in two weeks that had a lot of emotion finally was catching them a little bit physically. The guys are human and the first drive for the Titans in the second half was a nearly 7 minute 12 play drive for a Henry TD which included the big 4th down conversion for the Titans. Watching the game it felt like that was truly the big momentum swing for the Titans as had the Bills stopped them Buffalo is up 23-17 with an opportunity to make it a two score game. Instead they went up 24-23 and had forced their will on our defense. It just seemed like things finally caught our guys are little bit. Making matters worse the Titans next two drives were over ten minutes combined so the defense was really starting to wear too and I just gotta believe being human you they started having that feeling it was all uphill climb. -

Not sure how the heck this is moaning. They played a highly entertaining game that was the best of the year so far. My point is it sucks back to back year what probably was the best game viewer wise we came up uber short. Check my prediction for the Titans game I had Bills 28 - Titans 27 with Allen leading a last second drive, I said wayyy too many people undersold the Titans and oversold the Bills after weeks of dominating. My point was simply its a maddening feeling to have a game like that for a second year and come up literally inches away from victory. Outside of making the path to the #1 seed potentially tougher I think the season is still in tact and they are doing fine. -

I'm not upset as much as more just maddening to have back to back years of amazingly entertaining epic games and come up sooooo close. I loved the call to go for it, I just wish they went 4 wide with RB there so they had a lot of options given the weapons. I really don't look at reffing calls anymore. Buffalo had a multitude of errors that cost them more then just singular missed holding call. Also last week we benefited from a really weak roughing the passer call. Difference was we played a good mistake free game whereas this week we didn't. -
The Turning Point In the Monday Night game For Me
corta765 replied to wagne591's topic in The Stadium Wall
I had a similar thought that the drive wasn't good, but the sack was a killer and the amount of pressure Josh had I think he did the best there with what he had. At the time I didn't like the deep throw but in retrospect I get given the situation trying to do it. Third down their coverage was great and he almost got the pass in a super narrow window. So I agree that drive was the chance to put the game away, but I really wish the defense could've made a stop at the same point. The offense put 31 pts up despite heavy pressure on Josh and the defense had allowed 5 straight scoring drives. A stop with no points on even one of those 6 and we win. The game as a whole had just too many what if's for Buffalo. -

I was thinking of the Bills MNF record recently and its gastly bad (1-9) in the last ten games with a ton of soul killing games: 2021: 0-1 Titans loss 2020: 1-2 Pats win, Titans & Chiefs loss (not sure how else to code those) 2019: dnp 2018: 0-1 Pats loss 2017: dnp 2016: 0-1 Seattle loss (ugh) 2015: 0-1 NE loss 2009: 0-1 NE loss (double ugh McKelvin) 2008: 0-1 CLE (wide right) 2007: 0-1 DAL (triple ugh) SNF since McD got here I believe we are undefeated which is good minus Collinsworth lol -

Agreed. Unfortunately with Hughes I think age has caught him and they may have been better of cutting bait in the offseason to sign a younger FA. With Bruce Smith it took a year or two before he fully emerged and that's why with Groot I am happy with his performance but tempered expectations like you said to what he can and should be doing. -

I walked more away from it that Allen basically carried the team throughout and the margin for error is razor thin if he makes a mistake or doesn't convert. The defense is concerning that like last season they allowed so many consecutive scoring drives. For as much as the offense didn't convert in the redzone TD's they still put 31 up and gave the defense a lead to protect late which they failed to do. I do not know if big time changes are needed, but the Bills really could use a guy like Frank Clark or Chris Jones or JJ etc.. even if they have to trade and overpay to be a true disrupter off the end. I like Groot but he needs time still to find his way and truthfully if they want to run 4 man pressure they need more of an impact. -

Oh no not at all. I’m more saying for a second straight year in one of the probably top 10 best games of the year we got the L. I want the W so I don’t have to go through ptsd each time it gets brought back up haha -
Obviously losing Monday stunk for a bunch of reasons. For me while you do not want to lose my greater frustration was just the potential seeding tiebreaker, but I had another thought that bugged me more then anything else. I feel like for the second dang year we played in a game that will be considered one of the best on the season and came out on the losing side. Last year when we lost to Cardinals last second my frustration wasn't as much the loss because it happens and like Monday they lost but it doesn't ruin the season I am confident the team will be fine. But for the love of god can we come out on the better side of this equation haha. We play the Titans next year and like this offseason I am going to have to hear a years worth of how great the game wise, blah blah blah and it's deja vu all over. Hopefully we win the SB so we have the ultimate trump card, but it would be really freakin nice to play in one of the games of the year and not come out on the losing end and actually be able to enjoy watching it back.

Bills at Titans on MNF. Predict the score.
corta765 replied to SlimShady'sSpaceForce's topic in The Stadium Wall
Bills 28 Titans 27 Buffalo falls behind 13-0 as the Titans score a TD on the opening drive and then FG's on their next two drives one of which is due to a Bills turnover but the defense holds. Buffalo finally gets going on a Beasley TD for 25 yds after a few broken tackles. 13-7 out of half Buffalo responds with a TD drive and Moss TD from 3 yds out to go up 14-13. Titans respond right back with Henry scoring from 15 yds out as Edmunds picks the wrong lane and it is 20-13. The Bills fumble on their next possession thanks to slippery hands by Singletary and the Titans score on an AJ Brown TD to close the third quarter 27-13. Bills fans fear a repeat of the prior year but Josh says no way and a leads a 5 minute TD drive capped by a TD run by Josh. The defense allows the Titans to move the ball to mid field but they stall with 5 minutes to go. Josh gets the ball and leads a game winning drive capped by a Diggs TD from 17 yds out towards the left endzone with just 14 seconds left. The Bills walk out victorious despite having a let down for most of the game minus Josh. Allen 24-33 301 2 TD's 23 yds 1 TD rush Moss 85 yds 11 carries 1 TD Beasley 133 yds 7 rec -
Additionally their leadership in the first 2-3 years was paramount to establishing what exists now. Sure Josh is the dude now and the team seams to follow him, but they were big pillars in even allowing that possability.

The Bills Offense Evolution is Paying Off In Spades
corta765 replied to corta765's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think you will see Beasley and Knox go on and off with good and lesser games as they trade targets depending on how the defense matchups up against us. I agree the 11 personnel set is the best and truthfully if they ever got the talent going to 12 with two TE's would be really fun given Josh's skill set. Davis may have a lesser year, but my expectation is Beasley is cut this year and in comes Davis or he potentially is groomed to take over as the WR2. -
Allen vs Mahomes - last 21 starts comparison
corta765 replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall
Complete bust they should probably cut him -
Heading into the 2021-22 season there was great optimism that the offense would continue its strong play, but understandable realism that there could be regression because statistically offensives that produced 500 pts or more as the Bills did in 2020 see a drop off of a few touchdowns the year after. Additionally once an offense makes it mark the following offseason teams have a year of film to target certain areas. That makes evolution necessary to keep a high offensive output possible and not become stale. After week 1 anyone associated with the offense including the waterboy was open for criticism at the time. Since then though a few things have happened including just time to let things play out that have helped significantly make the offense a far more efficient machine then the 2020 version: Allen has had time with his fellow teammates to find their flow. Sanders has become a prime target for Josh, but it took a game or two for them to find their way. People forget last year John Brown and Beasley were in year 2 with Josh and established as good targets. Diggs was the new guy but he is a sublime talent and Allens work with him all offseason showed DaBoll backed off running the spread and has integrated Knox far more. This is without a doubt the most important piece in my opinion. After week 1 I think the Bills offense said oh crap with the amount of pressure put on Allen and the offensive line given how PIT covered them. Most defensives do not have PIT's personnel nor the coaching to do what they did. That said KC in the title game and PIT week 1 did a great job making Josh's pocket collapse while holding a ton of guys in coverage making it a tough passing situation. I personally think Josh was actually fine week 1 minus a few misses and it was the parts around him that let him down, but regardless it was a problem. Last year and week 1 the Bills were running close to 60% in spread form, whereas weeks 2-5 here its been down to 37%. Dawson Knox obviously has been a big part in adding a new look to the offense, but the offense has excelled non-spread forms which has given the offensive line more time and the ability to create different looks. The Bills are rushing quite well in fact 5th overall. Josh looks like an MVP candidate again, but the running situation has been an ally to the offense at this point that has made Josh's life easier. I loved that the Bills opening drive they let Josh run (smartly I may add) to help the offense. That forced the defense the rest of the game to be prepared for that element of the Bills offense. I love the Bills want to pass, but the diversification allows a much less predictable offense overall which in turn makes it more dangerous. The Bills offense ability to score slowly has allowed the defense to rest more. One of the issues the defense had the first half of last season was the offense scoring so fast they didn't have time to recover. They admitted as much as a unit that this was a different challenge compared to the first 3 years with McD. The defense is playing at a much higher level this year which is superb, but the ability for the offense to run a 7:51 min long drive for a TD with 13 minutes left like they did in KC is vastly more important then given credit to All of these factors have led to a far stronger offense as a unit that is not solely predicated on Josh having to throw his way every game to success. Make no mistake he will absolutely have games that is needed, the TB game could be one of those 400 yd games we need from Josh given how good their offense is playing. But the evolution of the offense makes the Bills far more lethal in my eyes then last years team.

Nice to have our friends up North back, my only caveat is if the Bills performance goes down were banning you until the SB is over -
This was mentioned online but basically guy receiving the checks (Gruden) vs. guy writing the checks (Snyder). I do not disagree that the NFL should try to make Snyder sell, BUT the league is an old boys club in parts also which shows with stuff like this. What I do not get with the league and Snyder is a better owner would just make more money for the league and team. It is in the NFL's and the 31 other owners best interest for Snyder to leave.

Thank you for this. I read the Chiefs forum and they think Buffalo was gifted the game by the refs if your talking about who got more favorable calls. In general every fanbase thinks the refs are out for them. The biggest thing for me is how sensitive Bills fans are. I believe we were named the most sensitive fanbase in the NFL and like you said there is a heavy small market insecurity/us the against the world mindset our fans get regularly. Now that the team is winning I think that chip is much larger.
