Week 18 JETS at BILLS Uniform reveal
corta765 replied to SlimShady'sSpaceForce's topic in The Stadium Wall
Watch them come out with Red Helmet Shells and the place go bonkers. -
Why didn't you list a Victoria's Secret? If Dallas can have one we can too!

It's funny the Texans game we tailgated basically no rain until we started to go to walk in and it was like mother nature turned on a shower then for the rest of the day. Winning in bad weather makes such a difference compared to losing mentally.

I know the Bills in the past favored more home games in Sept-Oct (4-5 if possible) as usually the weather is favorable. Problem is with them good now they get more marquee games and the league likes those later and mix in like you said a longer year more chance for adverse games. So the good news is that by game time the weather is said to stop completely and days following have no adverse weather. Hopefully this system moves a bit faster and by mid day sunday it clears.

I am not saying I am Pro Dome... but I am not saying I am against a Dome

My point isn't as much the weather in terms of complaint as just in general its been unusually active compared to the years I have gone in the past. I love a nice 35 degree day with a touch of snow. Works for me and I am comfy. Coldest game I have been to was 2016 Steelers. It was like 3 degrees at 8 am with -2 wind chill and the beer was freezing playing pong in the cups. It was to the point the coolers with ice were warmer then the outdoors. Add it a nice blustery snow it was pretty narly. Worst weather I have been at was either the Colts game this year were it just wouldn't stop raining throughout with the wind or the Pats in 2016 at home which was a washout also. I thankfully avoided the Pats night game this year (wife went lucky her haha) and she was also at the Giants game in 07.

Soooo y'all who liked this post still mad?

This is kind of a dumb response as I have went to games for a decade now and many good weather games happened in November/December. I could care less if it is cold as we are up north, but this year has been unseasonably heavy with strong weather be it wind, rain, or snow. It was a consistent factor in the game, the had the guys cleaning the field etc.. I have lived here my entire life I get it is not a foot of snow, but it still was a legit condition that had an impact. 2019 the Ravens home game was a perfect day just cold and that was December. Broncos in November also was really nice. 2019 outside of the Eagles rain/wind game was actually a really nice year games wise.

This is not a post to complain about our weather as much as just the fact I can't remember a season with so many games regularly played in legitimately crappy conditions. Figure: Steelers: Fine day Washington: Beautiful Day Texas: Downpour Dolphins: Overcast some rain Colts: Cold downpour Patriots: Gale force winds with snow Panthers: Snow Falcons: Heavy Snow & Cold Jets: Snow possible Sleet/Rain Does anyone remember a season that had as many bad weather weeks?

As much as I get the rational to redo off geography I have personally felt it is a mistake. If you were starting a league from scratch it would make more sense, but at this point the Jets Pats or Phins are teams I just hate in general given the history and I would have far less emotion towards CIN/DET especially as they both are bottom feeders (CIN until recently) and far similar culturally to us. Part of the fun with MIA/NYC is they are nothing like Buffalo and it makes it a fun culture clash too.

COVID killed probably the best road schedule we had in years in 2020. In terms of closeness at least BAL/DET are pretty easy drives. Rams would mean new stadium which is cool and people who have went to ARZ have told me its awesome, but yea the road schedule is a dog in a lot of ways.

These type of articles are kinda past their time now. The wisdom is known if your gonna pay a QB he better be able to cover your teams flaws and Josh has shown that again this year. The flipside is if you look at the big QB's paid over the last decade all of them made SBs or been on the doorstep a bunch : Manning, Brady, Big Ben, Rodgers, Wilson, Mahomes. With Brees and Rodgers they both have lost NFC title games as not fault of their own due to refs or insanely dumb plays (Brandon Bostick). If you said before the decade that your team had them and were going to pay them big time I think you'd be ok with the result QB wise as a SB title and being close other times isn't bad compared to hitting reset. The QB's that failed once they got contracts this last decade it makes sense with: Goff- Roster and McVay covered him big time and the holes became quite evident once he left. Matt Stafford is literally proving that a better QB can make the team better despite some flaws roster wise Cam- Actually did fine after until injury and never was the same player. Sucks he was really entertaining, but once injury hit and his play went down his salary limited any ability to help. Garrapollo- wasn't bad but not worth the money and the defense had a close to historically good D Flacco- Greatest one hit wonder ever in terms of success. The rosters performance after showed how money takes away talent when the QB can't make the difference. I do wonder if BAL makes the playoffs in 17' if he still would've lasted longer Ryan- He can thank his coach for blowing that team to pieces and not running the ball. Probably deserved a better fate and may not even belong on this piece of the list. In general if you are paying a QB top money the expectation should be he can elevate the roster. From there its on the GM to draft well and add the proper free agents mixed with a little luck. Truthfully I hate this concept that once a QB is paid that is it. In general in a decade there are 10 titles total that can be won and 20 chances total for the top QBs across the league to get in. In Matt Ryan's case for example they made an NFC title and a SB. He took 5% of available spots for a SB and 10% conference wise. With how many good QB's there are there isn't space for a boat load of chances unless your Brady apparently who also took some away. The history of football is littered with QB greats who had their shot and that was it. Marino went year 2 and never again, conversely Elway went 5 times and it took the 4th appearance to win. There is not a team out there who would not pay a QB if they knew they were going to be one of the top guys in the NFL for the next decade and he could carry them regularly. The AFC is loaded with young QB talent right now Allen, Mahomes, Lamar, Herbert, & Burrow and if in 2031 you said each of them only made 1-2 SB's top I would say that sounds about right given the opportunities, luck, and the sport itself. Still you'd rather have one of those 5 guys and role the dice them be the Jets or Texans who have no idea what their future is the next decade.

It looks to be slightly taken out of context as he explains they have been careful not to go out as a team. So I think it is more with limiting what they are willing to do the options shrink. I have a buddy who lived in Cincy for 2-3 years and loved it said it was very vibrant.

Bills at Patriots: Predict the Score
corta765 replied to Giuseppe Tognarelli's topic in The Stadium Wall
Bills 24 Pats 20 Buffalo wins a tight affair to take back the division. The Pats get the ball first and Jones drives the field until their drive stalls at the Bills 10 and settled for a FG. Allen and the offense respond going the length of the field and cap the drive with a Breida TD from 5 yds out on rush to go up 7-3. Both teams trade field possession on their next drives until the Bills get the ball on Diggs gets a 30 yard completion down to the NE 5 yard line. Dawson Knox gets a TD in the redzone and Buffalo is up 14-3. The Patriots move down the field before half and Stevenson runs a TD in from 15 yards out to get the game to 14-10. Out of half the Bills move down field, but Judon sacks Allen and Bass hits a 45 yard FG to put the Bills up 17-10. After a few traded drives the Pats get a FG thanks to a big completion to Jonnu Smith inside the Buffalo 30 to make it 17-13 entering the 4th quarter. Allen leads a big drive that takes 6 minutes and runs in the TD himself to put the Bills up 24-13 with 8 minutes to go. The Patriots drive downfield and CBS broadcasters won't shut up about Jones who does throw a TD to Aghlor from 10 yards out to make the game 24-20. Buffalo runs some clock but the Patriots get one last drive. At the Bills 40 yard line with 30 seconds left Taron Johnson jumps a route for an INT to seal the game for the Bills. Buffalo finally wins a one score game while taking back the division lead. Allen 21-30 270 yds 1 TD 58 yds rushing 1 TD Singletary 63 yds 12 rushes Diggs 115 yds 7 rec Johnson 2 tackles 1 INT 1 PD -
A Few Thoughts about the Panthers Game, in no particular order
corta765 replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
I tend to agree with this. I can't say I blame him his last year in some capacity as Rex really messed the place up, but he 100% made business decisions on plays which was frustrating. I know people got upset about his comments when he left, but he truthfully was dead on and I didn't disagree with him. -

I do not disagree with you about the Pats reign being over, but if they take the division they still become an obstacle again and you went 0-2. I agree Buffalo is more talented, but beat NE when they are up for once not on a down year. I hate that 2019 we couldn't have got them once to have done that when Brady was still there. -

1 - Josh - He had the game I expected after willing the Bills back singlehandedly vs TB. He played more then well enough to win, I wish late in the game they would've rested him for NE. 2 - Motor - Motor should be RB1 with mixes of Breida and McKenzie. Biggest thing is scheme. This game felt creative and I loved the running plays called. The issue all year for running the ball has been scheme to me and not sticking to a guy. Moss has not looked like the guy he was at the end of last year and I think that injury hurt him. 5 - Cam - It is truly a shame his shoulder fell apart because he is a dynamic player I liked watching. 6 - Diggs - It is funny people say its been a quiet year for Diggs when he has equaled his TD total from last year and pacing for almost 1200 yds. It shows how freaking good he was last year. I have had this feeling the upcoming NE game will be his magnum opus on the season. 9 - Milano - He is at this point the most underrated LB in the NFL. The plays he makes weekly and impact is insane. I said all summer he was the one guy on D they couldn't afford to lose considering how much he does. Maybe this year he will at least get a pro bowl nod. 10 - Moving Forward - This is weird to say but this game feels like a true defining moment with NE and the Bills overall growth as a team. If you really have turned the page to be the alpha team and NE being the giant they were is in the past you win. In a weird way it is like 2019 again where ok they are there for the taking can you win one of two to send then back. I actually think Buffalo will make the playoffs regardless W/L, but optically and perception wise its about the division crown. Part of being the alpha is having a relatively off year where not everything is roses and goes your way and you still win the division. I think the Bills know that and they also know many people are doubting them and crowning NE. I have a feeling that will serve as motivation, but in the end it really comes down to Josh. Outside of some weird flukey loss 38-37 and he throws 400 yds 5 TDs, you were paid to be the dude and you have proven to win these games before. Time to close bud. -
NBC Boston: Bills are done, Pats make them lick dog *****
corta765 replied to Motorin''s topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm going to create a charity where any Bills poster who starts a Pats related thread has to donate a $1 in order to post.. Pretty sure we can get over $1000 by the end a full calendar year. -
Tom Brady, 2021 Sportsman of the Year

Their is a pettiness by Brady in this situation that I can truly appreciate lol -
What I saw, and why I am actually optimistic after this Bucs game
corta765 replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall
I have wondered if Sanders presence has made Josh maybe force more passes his way rather then taking the easy throws which Beasley is available for a lot. Brown was a straight speed guy very north south routes, where Sanders can do more but Josh maybe looks too much his way because of it also. -
Do the Bills have any 2007/2011 Giants playoff run in them?
corta765 replied to Another Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
If there is a team I see them to it is the 2010 Packers that won the title. -

corta765 replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
That is a really basic take. The offense worked because the offensive line stopped being completely offensive to watch, the WR/TEs started running routes that beat, and Josh basically turned into god mode. Remember he ran for 100 plus yards not the other guys. Not saying the running game didn't have some impact, but the air game forever is the bread and butter they just finally mixed it well in design and Allen made plays all over. Truthfully felt like the first time since TEN Allen was allowed to just do whatever he wanted. I have really wondered if his knee injury from the end of last year is taking its toll. Knee injuries are no joke and can really mess with a player. I 100% agree Beasley has not looked right and for a guy that forever gets open and catches everything, he hasn't been that. -
I can see it. Beating NE would be a huge momentum piece to finish the last two games with

Yea well no one has said we are winning out AND winning the super bowl! Now I did so take it to the bank! .... (no please don't do this lol)
