Beasley had three broken ribs last season?
corta765 replied to Jerry Jabber's topic in The Stadium Wall
In a few of my post game recaps I said he looked a step off and I wondered if his knee injury from year prior and a current injury was at play. Literally until that Pats game in 2020 when his knee got messed up you couldn't cover the guy and he caught everything. He was never the same after. -
Four Years of Josh, Four Years of Great Moments

He just needs a ring at this point. Get the ring and he a god for life in Buffalo and the NFL as the guy who got Buffalo over the hump. I always thought Lebron getting CLE a ring was the best of his by a long shot as winning one for a city that never has is so much harder pressure wise. I will say the KC game which I ranked 1 for his play was the coronation of him being a top 3 player in the NFL and basically unstoppable in everyone's minds nationally. -
Four Years of Josh, Four Years of Great Moments

Jesus I forgot about that one. For a game that had really nothing at stake, because of the playoff game earlier in the year it was a super intense game and he balled out. -
We have been lucky enough to have Josh as our QB for four years now which has created some great moments. I am curious what are some of your favorite or top 4 if you want. These are mine: 1. His play in the KC 2022 divisional game- The loss hurts no way around it. BUT the saving grace for me walking out was our guy put on a show that very few have done. I have never seen a QB run and legitimately injure defenders as he went on his way. His resolve gives me belief that he will win us a title and despite such a gut wrenching ending he will finish the job for us. 2. Rams game winning drive 2020-cemented he had evolved into a true elite QB to me 3. at Pats win 2021- Established he was the alpha for real and the division ran through him moving forward 4. Dallas 2019 4th down- It was the play America got a look at what we all had realized for bit that the dude was different. Also watching him take apart Dallas was just freaking satisfying as hell honorable mentions: at Miami 2018- That game sold me he would be fine as our QB. He was the best player on the field and while not fully polished he controlled that game. F U Charles Clay at Minnesota 2018- The leap over Barr was amazing. I also kinda hope he stops doing that unless it is the SB which at that point I don't care what he feels the need to do.

FYI: Josh Allen #3 in NFL QB Index. Featured on NFL Network 3/30

That was the game that sealed his evolution as the alpha in the division. Guys out, on the road, and you were the best player by a country mile. It couldn't have been more proud. -
Honestly I'd rather the team just straight up say its a stadium tax and it will be in place for the next 3-4 seasons and that is it. As a fan I could appetize that better then the PSL crap

I swear to god some of you live under a rock and pay zero attention to anything. Few things: -The Packers are owned by the community something the NFL and owners loath which is why it will never happen again. Because of that they can do as they please for fans in a far more friendly way then any other market -Lambeau went through $415 million in renovations per 2020 cost -The Packers have invested $65 million in the title town project next door with more funds coming -If you have seen Lambeau since the renovations its absolutely gorgeous and they did a superb job. They didn't settle for "the average fan", its a football palace and great for fans of all types -The Ralph was forever limited in expansion/renovation because it was built 30 ft under the surface. To expand the concourse properly would force the Bills out of the stadium for years with a renovation and unless you want to go to UB or Cuse or Penn State then new was the way to go -The upper deck has a legit safety timeframe before it has major structural issues and by opening the stadium in 2026 they beat the cost of that fix by barely a year assuming nothing structurally faults before then. -The stadium itself is a nightmare for primetime games to setup something that is brought up regularly and was part of the reason why during the drought years our primetime exposure was so limited regardless of team play -The stadiums construction also creates an awful wind effect as shown during the Pats game because of how they built. Just by simply moving the stadium 90 degrees in itself will help fans. The fact they plan on enclosing it similar to Tottenhams soccer stadium should create a far better fan atmosphere in terms of wind and comfort. The Ralph has amazing sightlines.. other then that fan wise it gets rough at points when the weather is poor. -The cost to actually renovate the Ralph is about a billion dollars. Regardless of my feelings on public money in the equation, if you are going to spend a billion you might as well do it properly with a brand new stadium that has the bells and whistles, not just fan wise, but in terms of actual construction and technology so the stadium itself is far more sound

It is what societally we have decided is acceptable. If you look at the stadiums built with private money it was done because the value of ancillary development on or next to the stadium is worth more then having a public say. Unless nationally we decided that no public money can be contributed without proper payback or just none at all, any city that takes a stand risks losing their team. Professional sports teams especially the NFL are to many part of the fabric of their cities and most are not willing to give that up. In general it is a crappy equation that happens, but based off what I have read thus far even though the money is high there is no ridiculous increase in public revenue expected rather that it is just paid back. Some of the worst deals like Cincy's literally blead cities dry or come with expectations for tax income that never happen, because the state is taking a large share and has a 216 billion budget the impact is minimalized. It is also smart that the field will be designed to host soccer games.

True.

Business wise Ralph was insanely good. Back in 2008 he and Mike Brown were the only two to vote against the CBA and the owners in retrospect realized he was right. Much the NFL you see today he had a role in.
-
I think the losing also really took its toll on Whitner here also. On a better team he seemed to perk up as a player.

If you have fun with it, get something out of it, find it to be a nice distraction, or a host of other reasons that a mock draft makes your day then yep. I read them but don't put much stock into it. No one really knows until draft night, but it is a fun read for 5 minutes.

It was more based off where I think they place not talent. As I said virtually no year do the best 14 teams make the playoffs, luck good and bad factors in a lot. Who would you put as #1? Not meant as a slight I am curious. To me Buffalo has a roster that is most complete, they have the experience, and they have the coaching. I would 100% understand if someone said LAC or DEN, but to me the Bills have proven more then either of those teams at this time. If LAC/DEN finished as the 1 I wouldn't be surprised at all.
-
I agree nothing is a certainty, but Bills have the second easiest division both talent and QB wise after AFC South which def helps. In the end I always comeback to QB play as the barometer for where teams finish out. BUF's ace in the hole is having an elite QB when in division no one else does. The AFC West and AFC North races will be blood baths this year.
-
If KC can add a plug and play WR too in the draft it could really mute the impact. One thing I will forever remember one of the NFL analysts saying was that a players impact W/L wise that was not a QB was maybe one more win whereas a elite QB being out is like a 4-5 game swing W/L wise. Andy Reid is a superb offensive mind and if he can get another FA WR along with a young stud WR round 1 I can def see the impact being far more muted. The offense is going to change no doubt, I think it is more how long it takes to get clicking then anything else.

I don't think it is out of contention as much as attrition finally catches them a bit with a hyper improved division, 1st place schedule, restructured offense, and four years of extra playoff games which does have an impact. I also think long term the amount of picks they have could open a larger window to win then had they kept Hill. NE has a great coach and awful GM They are always a tough out and even thought talent wise they are really behind the rest of the AFC, BB is a master at getting the most out of his team. PIT is a massive wildcard and could easily get back into it..
-
I don't disagree with your thoughts on KC. Right now anyone who would argue against really any of those 4 teams winning the division or making the playoffs is wrong as they all have a ton of talent. I just think the attrition of free agency, four years worth of playoff games, and the division finally rising in talent catches them at the end. I still would expect come weeks 16-17-18 KC has a shot. Titans are my team that if they moved divisions I think they are 3rd or 4th anywhere else, BUT their style of play and Jax/Hou rebuilding gives them enough wins to inflate their total.
-
Gotta think schedule more then talent. Rarely do the top 14 teams make the playoffs talent wise. MIA is certainly better then NYJ and NE at this point and if they go 4-0 there they need 5 wins out of 12.
-
After Hill's trade today rank the AFC as you see it at this point for 2022 (yes I understand draft still needs to happen). Here are my thoughts: 1. BUF 13-4 After everything that has happened most complete team right now 2. DEN 12-5 I trust Wilson over LAC for division 3. BAL 11-5 Historic amount of injuries last year, they will bounce back 4. TEN 10-7 They've bled some depth but I trust them over IND more right now 5. LAC 12-5 Tie breaker for division so they are WC and really good 6. CIN 10-7 They get the WC and start on the road this playoff year. Their rivals have all gotten better 7. MIA 10-7 Similar to the Patriots last year a soft schedule compared to AFCW or AFCN foes will gift wins even though talent wise teams 8-10 are better IMO. ------ playoff cut off ------- 8. CLE 9-8 Watson is going to be suspended for at least 4-6 games if not more. That's too many games in division this competitive 9. OAK 9-8 I think that QB wise their third in division and the attrition inside will hurt their playoff chances more then talent 10. KC 9-8 They have bled a lot of free agents as the cap has not been nice and their division is insane. Hill leaving though makes it a tough sell to see them up top 11. IND 8-9 Matt Ryan is on the backside of his career and has been for years. He couldn't take advantage of the weapons he had in ATL the last few years and has less in IND 12. JAX 8-9 Competent coaching will do wonders for Trevor who takes steps forward. After hearing very thing Urban did its a miracle he didn't retire at QB 13. PIT 7-10 Mitch its not personal just business and they have the 4th best QB in a division that is quite solid. 14. NE 7-10 Teams year 1 with new free agents gain on average 3 wins, next year they lose that gain. Additionally the rest of the division is only better and nothing has been done to help make Mac's life easier. 15. NYJ 5-12 Their defense will play better this year, but their offense is still ways behind the rest of the AFC plus Zach Wilson needs to take some major steps to show life. 16. HOU 4-13 They are slowly rebuilding what they had it will just take time.

It's funny I use to get realllyyyy upset about not getting primetime games. Then 2020 happened and all of December was at night and yea I was good with maybe 2-3 primetime games and the rest 1pm haha. Also kids happened which makes a 1pm game perfect with nap time lol
-
We sir refer to that as "the good ole days" for us drought kids lol
-
I hear that. Watching them play is like watching the drought Bills of 07-10, its mind numbingly bad. If I had to rank the teams that are most tiring to watch on primetime it would go like this: Bears Jets Cowboys Two of the three are scheduled wayyyy too often because of market and Dallas the NFL would put on at night all 17 games if they could. My buddy who is a cowboy fan stopped ordering the NFL package because something like 13 of 16 games were on national broadcast so he was wasting money just to see them.

Dang between the USFL and OTAs I really was off on the hype for June lol

A guy like an AJ Bouye will be available for not a bunch who they sign and then draft CB round 1 or 2 to groom.
