He maximized it tenfold. They are the most valuable franchise in US sports, every network wants a piece of the Cowboys despite relatively limited success on the field for two decades now, the stadium and complex he has created is insanely good, and in general $ wise he has been the leading owner (for good or more bad imo) in finding new revenue streams. I don't disagree the brand was already strong and there before he arrived, but in a purely business sense he has really pushed it to other place. I am reallyyyyy curious how PIT/GB once Rodgers leaves do brand wise once they have some lean years as they are probably the two other big franchises that have a reputation like Dallas, but both are small market and don't have the same business drive as what Jerry does.

I have to give Jerry Jones credit in the sense the brand he made with the Cowboys since he took over is insanely powerful. Haha oh boy

Are there any NFL teams with a #1 QB worse than Baker Mayfield?
corta765 replied to tomur67's topic in The Stadium Wall
The issue with Baker trade wise is less talent and far more price tag right now as he is not cheap. if CLE would cut him or eat salary he will go, but they mismanaged the market IMO and wanted too much. His career to me went as followed: 2018: Pretty good 2019: Not good 2020: Pretty decent 2021: Not good but injuries played a role He has had no consistency at coach or coordinator. He also is his own worst enemy with his attitude at points which does not rub well even if he is trying to use it as motivation. At this point I think if a team was truly invested in him where they maximized his talent and mobility he could be in the upper half of QBs and you could win with him like CLE did in 2020. The issue with QBs though is the salary he could want won't justify his play and you would need a team looking to get back to relevance who thinks he can still be a franchise guy. CAR as many have said looks like the obvious choice, SEA could be a fit but no one knows wth their doing up there, I actually though he was a better fit in IND then Matt Ryan at this point but that is done, truthfully outside of CAR the best thing for him could be joining WAS/PHI and working his way to try and force himself as starter. Both those teams are no way sold with either starter and have talent on offense that he could work with. It is pretty wild that heading off 2020 into 2021 it felt reasonable he would be in CLE for 3-5 more years and now he is gone. -
This was pre Josh turning into a Demi-God mid Bucs game and becoming an unstoppable human force. Bills by a billion

If it was like last year 59, torrential rain, and 30 mph wind.
-
I know this won't happen but I would laugh so hard if they announce this and that it was our only primetime game lol
-
This has forever been my point. Sure Bills Rams is a sexy pick, so is DAL/ARZ/DEN/49ers and it saves the Bills Rams for later in the year.
-
Well Well I called week 2 Titans and nailed it minus the MNF piece, but corta is rolling this year people!
-
I could see that. Mike North hinted holidays "could" involve the Bills a bunch. I really think Bills Lions or Bills Pack is happening Thanksgiving week despite my want for a normal Sunday game. Xmas/New Year Eve they are too easy to plug in as the schedule offers enough solid opponents to play.
-
Mike North said the NFL liked the Bills in that spot and it was a possibility. Denver, SF, Arizona, or Dallas all would be fine opponents for the Rams. Remember the NFL networks like to have marquee games at 1pm for the national window. They can't put every game at 4 or primetime, last year CLE KC was at 1pm. It is very possible. It is the way the rotation worked out. Buffalo was is on the road against the AFC W in 21 and 22 for common opponents and in 23 when we play the AFCW division we go to KC as we hosted in 20. Just weird coincidence that times with both teams being good. Buffalo hosted KC for years in the 2012. 13, and 14 consecutively.

I miss that guy

With everything that has transpired I have wondered if NE has much star power outside of their past history and BB and if they get the primetime schedule they have in the past.
-
Agreed and I almost flipped LAR with KC for those weeks. The only thing is it is expected KC's division is hyper competitive this year and I could see them prioritizing the back half of the year for those games.
-
I expect that game to leak by Monday. I am down with TNF to open that would be fun, I am also open to just a normal 1pm game. I do think if Buffalo is primetime week 1 its TNF or bust. Typically week 1 they put lower profile teams especially MNF but sometimes SNF to get them exposure.
-
For those of you who follow my schedule news you know I do a prediction every year before it drops. As we are a week away I wanted to do my prediction prior to any leaks to see how close I can get. Last year I got three weeks correct (Bye week, at Saints, & at Jets) along with getting Bills at Chiefs on SNF (wrong week though), bills opening and ending the season at home (Just wrong opponents), and I had TEN as a flex night game which ended up being a MNF game. Not too bad all things considered. This prediction is not what I want to happen, it is what I think will happen based off the research I do on prior matchups, historical placement of games vs NFC opponents, when division games occur, and rumors/noise nationally. With that said here is my schedule: Week 1: at Baltimore 1pm Week 2: Tennessee 1pm Week 3: at Miami Monday Night Football Week 4: Cleveland 1pm Week 5: New York Jets 1pm Week 6: at Detroit 1pm Week 7:at Kansas City Sunday Night Football Week 8: Bye Week 9: Pittsburgh 1pm Week 10: at Chicago 1pm Week 11: Green Bay Thanksgiving night 8:15 pm Week 12: at New England 4:25pm Week 13: at Los Angeles Sunday Night Football Week 14: Miami 1pm/possible Saturday flex game Week 15: Minnesota 1pm Week 16: at Cincy 4:25 pm Xmas Eve national window Week 17: New England Monday Night Football Jan 2nd Week 18: at New York Jets 1:00pm As I said my predictions are not what I want it is based off what I think will happen. As much as there has been substantial talk of Bills Rams opening, I just can't see the NFL sacrificing that game on an already high ratings night when you could put it late in the season when both teams are peaking. A Bills Ravens opener is an easy 1pm national draw with Allen vs Jackson. The Titans I think are a solid home opener that moves the needle for fans and viewers. I think the NFL will want to maximize the Dolphins early in the season in case they flame out late and Buffalo with Allen on MNF feels like an easy game plus Mike North hinted any division game for Buffalo could be primetime. I do think the NFL has the Bills Phins home game late so it is flexible if they want. My schedule has 5 primetime games and 2 4pm games so almost half the season is not 1pm which goes along with where the Bills have been trending. With that said 6 of the 8 home games are 1pm something the team and fans prefer. I have the Bills finishing the season traveling to NY as I think its expected the division isn't as close this year for the Bills to win and every team closes with a division game. Week 18 honestly was really hard to figure out, but I think the league will maximize the NE/MIA games throughout the season rather then waiting until week 18 when the division is probably already decided, whereas a week 17 NE game still may have more at stake.

Might be time for the admins to lock this one up especially on a relatively unimportant topic like this

Realistically it just eliminates some of the game opponents we could have. The major rule of thumb with division games is the NFL likes to have them the last 2-3 weeks for division race reasons/tv and usually a division opponent early on. I have for years tried to see if their is any rhythm to when we play the NFC division and if that impacts when the Bills play them the next time and I haven't had a lot of luck. For insistence in 2018 we played the NFC North GB was mid season, MIN week 3, CHI mid season, and DET at the end. But in 2014 we opened in CHI, played MIN week 8, GB week 15, and DET week 5. If you believe that BUF is hosting GB at thanksgiving or xmas then this might help your case, I have thought we are at MIA early in the season on MNF so this helps my idea with that and MIN will be late as our last two matchups were in the first half of the year. But again it is all guessing and this just eliminates certain weeks we play MIA or GB
